They sound close to breaking the 1967 space treaty. Granted, without details one can’t be sure. But phrases like ‘next battlefeild’ Sound close to indicating that they at least don’t know wtf the 1967 space treat says about the PEACEFUL exploration of space. They are sure pushing the envelope with aggressive language. I’m thinking Putin is just waiting for us to break the treaty because they are already prepared to follow suit. *States shall not place nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction in orbit or on celestial bodies or station them in outer space in any other manner; *the Moon and other celestial bodies shall be used exclusively for peaceful purposes; *astronauts shall be regarded as the envoys of mankind; www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/ourwork/spacelaw/treaties/introouterspacetreaty.htmlUnder the terms of the treaty, the parties are prohibited from placing nuclear arms or other weapons of mass destruction in orbit, on the Moon, or on other bodies in space. Nations cannot claim sovereignty over the Moon or other celestial bodies. Nations are responsible for their activities in space, are liable for any damage caused by objects launched into space from their territory, and are bound to assist astronauts in distress. Their space installations and vehicles shall be open, on a reciprocal basis, to representatives of other countries, and all parties agree to conduct outer-space activities openly and in accordance with international law. www.britannica.com/event/Outer-Space-Treaty

And here, I was hoping that by the time we got into space in earnest, we'd be evolved as a species to a point that it would be "mankind" in space exploring TOGETHER, not extending petty land-based prejudices into the cosmos. I guess I watch too many liberal-minded science fiction movies, or something. The thing is that the Space Station is manned by international peoples!

I was only speaking to the misguided notion that Mike Pence said that space itself was crowded.

In the interest of full disclosure, they became citizens via a procedure called 'Chain migration', in which relatives of citizens can apply for citizenship in the interest of reunification. Chain migration is a policy which President Agent Orange wants to stop. Reunification is what the Administration has failed to do for approximately 600 children separated from their parents at the border. Anyone see the hypocrisy of this?

Remember- he's the best at leveraging bankruptcies to run his businesses... (or asking Russia for money.)

*The Treasury Department announced Monday the federal government plans to borrow $329 billion in the current July-September quarter. That's the highest third quarter figure in eight years, as the government faces rising borrowing needs due to higher budget deficits. So what is 8 million for a Space Force?

Besides that is what we have the Avengers for. well, I actually think that the pentagons compromise ( because a new branch can’t be created without congress & senate ) to create a ‘space comnand’ is actually a valid idea. ( like thebeuropean command or the pacific command ) There are things in space right now that the existing air force defends against. They defend our satellites from attack satellites from Russia & China. If other countries are going to send up attack satellites then perhaps it is time to have a separate command within the Air Force ( and other necessary agencies ) . BUT this administration amps up thier verbiage and uses excessively aggressive language. Next he’ll have people in some remote Trump enclave prepping for war or the worlds.

IMO trump just gave the rest of the world premission to arm space. Regardless of what we think is in space now, weapons in space will now become a reality. We let the genie out of the bottle when we detonated the first atomic bomb and look where we are now.

My my my.............. The Judge was/is not a happy camper!! Judge blocks administration from deporting asylum seekers -- but the government already had two on a planeBy Tal Kopan, CNN Updated 6:45 PM ET, Thu August 9, 2018 Washington (CNN)A federal judge on Thursday erupted at the Trump administration when he learned that two asylum seekers fighting deportation were at that moment being deported and on a plane to El Salvador. DC District Judge Emmet Sullivan then blocked the administration from deporting the two plaintiffs while they are fighting for their right to stay in the US -- reportedly excoriating the administration and threatening to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt. The government raced to comply with the court's order, and by Thursday evening the immigrants had arrived back in Texas after being turned around on the ground in El Salvador. Sullivan agreed with the American Civil Liberties Union that the immigrants they are representing in a federal lawsuit should not be deported while their cases are pending. The emergency hearing in the case turned dramatic when attorneys discovered partway through the hearing that two of their clients were on a plane to El Salvador. ** During court, Sullivan was incensed at the report that one of the plaintiffs was in the process of being deported, according to the ACLU and The Washington Post. Sullivan demanded to know why he shouldn't hold Sessions in contempt, according to the Post and the recollection of lead ACLU attorney Jennifer Chang Newell. ** Chang Newell said the administration had pledged Wednesday that no one in the case would be deported until at least midnight at the end of Thursday. But during a recess in the proceedings Thursday, she got an email from attorneys on the ground in Texas that her client, known by the pseudonym Carmen, and Carmen's daughter had been taken from their detention center that morning and deported. After investigating during recess, she informed government attorneys and Sullivan what had happened. "He said something like, 'I'm going to issue an order to show cause why I shouldn't hold the government in contempt, I'm going to start with the attorney general,' " Chang Newell said, explaining that Sullivan was suggesting he would issue an order that would require the government to explain why they didn't deserve to be held in contempt. Such an order has yet to be issued by the court. He ordered the plane turned around or the clients brought back immediately, the ACLU said. "This is pretty outrageous," Sullivan said, according to the Post. "That someone seeking justice in US court is spirited away while her attorneys are arguing for justice for her?"** After the hearing, Sullivan issued an emergency order halting the deportation of any of the immigrants as he considers whether he has broader authority in the case. Sullivan also ordered that if the two being deported were not returned, Sessions, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Lee Francis Cissna and Executive Office for Immigration Review Director James McHenry would have to appear in court and say why they should not be held in contempt. ** More at link: www.cnn.com/2018/08/09/politics/judge-halts-deportations-sessions/index.html

So much for the "we have no problem with immigrants, only with illegal immigrants" rhetoric. Now the Trump Administration is Trying to Punish Legal Immigrants for being poor.Anyone who continues to support this pile of trash is showing us exactly who they are. From the opinion piece: I think what gets me most is that a large part of the reason that immigrants with full time jobs (or even more than one job) are poor enough to qualify for benefits is because conservatives refuse to support any increase to the federal minimum wage. This is supposedly to protect small business, but please tell me how well American small business will do when it can't get enough workers because the people stuck in this catch-22 are now barred from the country.
