I bought bar neodymium magnets. They are slightly too thick.
I would love to find additional magnets for my Tonic platform. I like the bar shape, but round is fine, too. I want the thin, powerful neodymium magnets. The ones on Amazon seem too large, or are too thick. The Tim Holtz ones are oerfect, of course, but are also rather pricey for just two magnets.
Can anyone link me to thin magnets that work well in the platform?
TIA!

Correction: the bar magnets do work, but they cannot be too close to the stamp, or they can interfere, which can obviously be inconvenient at times.
The bar magnets are 3mm thick. I am trying to find ones that are 1 to 2 mm thick, or maybe 1/16th of an inch. I found some that were 1/16th inch thick, but they are over an inch in diameter, so they are wider than I like.

Home Depot has the round ones and donut shaped ones. I use those for my home made stamp press that has the mini WRMK magnetic mat that I used mini Duck Duct Tape to tape it to the bottom.

Yes Home Depot and just about any hardware store will have them. Round and rectangular.

Thank you!
I had seen some at Michaels, but they always seem to be out of them, and they don't carry the bar magnets.

Yesterday I went to Staples, Home Depot, and Lowe's. I struck out at all three. None had what I was looking for (something the same thickness as the Tonic magnets). The ones at those stores were all slightly thicker, and yes, it makes a difference.
Magnets that are 3mm thick can be used in the Tonic stamp platform, but they sometimes interfere with the clear stamps and bare rubber stamps.
All of the magnets at the above places are 3mm thick, with the exception of tiny donut hole magnets that were 1.5 mm thick, but were too small to use IMO. You'd need to use a bunch of them, and they would be a huge risk for little kids swallowing them if one fell on the floor and got overlooked. I have grandkids, so I want something bigger, like the ones that come with the platform or preferably a bar magnet that is 2.5 mm thick maximum. 2.5 mm thick are the thickness of the Tonic platform magnets.
I have looked on Amazon. One seller had one set of 4 bar magnets which are 2.5 mm thick, but that seller is now out of stock.
Awhile back, Michael's had smaller magnets that worked, but they have been sold out for awhile and not restocked (at least none of the times I have been in their stores).
I have given up on the idea of making my own corners, although the tiny, thin donut hole magnets at Home Depot might work for that if they are glued well to whatever you use to make your corners.
I want extra magnets, because the neodymium magnets can break eventually. They are not metal, even though they look like it. They are a type of ceramic.
The Tonic magnets on Amazon are (or were) about $7.50 for just two magnets. I finally opted to buy them, because I figured it was cheaper than the gas I was using running around trying to find anything similar.
