I have a small whine. I'm hoping getting it out here will help me shake it off for the weekend.
My period is late. DH has had a V (twice) so I know I'm not pregnant. I'm going to be 45 on Sunday, and have had various symptoms I've read about here over the past 18 months, irregular cycles, becoming shorter and shorter in length. I've also got the beginnings of what I think are hot flashes. I've always been the person shivering under a blanket in July. I'm sitting here in short sleeves with my blanket folded up and my jacket on the back of my chair. sweating.
Typically when your birthday falls on a weekend, people at work at least say something on Friday. You all know where this is going. Not one word. No office card (one of our two admins is out on medical leave, our remaining person is peddling as fast as she can I don't blame her) my boss just left, it's clear he has no idea.
I'm just tired. I'm part of a small group that works within a large department. There are 5 of us. How hard is it to add a reminder of someones birthday and at least wish them a nice day?
I'm going to go home, where I STILL have no AC and make my own birthday pie. My choice to cook, it's key lime but adds just a bit of lemon to cut the after taste of the lime. I may also make margaritas.
