Elle's kit looks just like the one I used last year, but she added in pink. So I'm skipping it, but will pick up a few addons.
Got up early to watch Ali's stream to decide on a kit. Was surprised and disappointed she didn't show anything from the 3 kits. And really glossed over the 2 items releasing today.
Why does that need to be so secretive until 24 hours before sale?
And can Ali add a penny to all her prices. Just make them whole numbers. It's easier for budgeting.
Easter Egg shapes in the Christmas chipboard is hilarious. Saved me $13.
The dimensional bundle needs a new name only 1 of the 3 has any dimension to it at all.
But after the hour I'm now torn between the 3x8 and 6x8.

I will have to wait till Ali post on her blog as I don't do Facebook. I will say I was hoping a 6x8 album was going to be like the 3x8 already shown in a sneak so sad to hear there isn't one.

That's annoying because I really want to see u That irritates the crap out of me as I hate videos. Just show the damn product already. I only watched bits of the Facebook video with her annoying voice muted. Even then I couldn’t stand it long because I just really can’t stand looking at her. I know that’s mean but I really don’t like watching people on videos, it’s like it grates my nerves. I watch gymnastics on you tube and television. Stuff on crafting? No. I’m a fuss bucket I guess. |

I like Elle's color palette, but I still have a "problem" with the aesthetics. Maybe it just looks like a 80s?
ETA: I did take a look at AE's DD sneak peeks. Some things I'll be interested in--when (if) they're on sale.

I like the Elle kit, but it's too white & bright for me--which is what I think of almost every monthly kit from there. In the summer it's ok, but during fall & winter the brightness doesn't work for me. Will probably pick up some individual pieces because I always like the embellishments.

Myself and my sister got Elle’s kit plus extras, can’t wait for it to arrive
Have to say there is a lot to be said for not having to wait ages for shipping
Haven’t had a chance to watch the video from ali yet

Watching the video - I am surprised at how little Ali actually knows about her own products.  Are you really surprised though? That seems to be an ongoing theme these days. If she doesn't care enough to know what she's selling, I sure as hell don't care enough to buy it. "Trust me, it's awesome" isn't going to fly with me. I want dimensions, specs, paper weights, all the detail. And no, I'm not going to sit through a rambling live video. Show me something concise, edited, high quality, somewhat scripted, and maybe I'll sit through a short video. Otherwise, NOPE. |

I only watched a few minutes of the video and will skip through some more of it tonight after work. A bit underwhelmed with the 2 main album choices. I really like the Elle’s studio kit so may order that. Also looking at other album options including Simple Stories. Even a plain red album would be fine as that’s what I’ve used in previous years and decorated it myself.

That grey album just doesn’t seem very Christmassy to me. The red one is ok but I don’t think the albums are as interesting as last year.

So so so tacky omg, I'm glad I'm skipping this... I think one of the things I hate about the Fbk Live thing is that it encourages such minimal forethought or planning. She's an old hand at this (selling stuff). She should know what she needs to have on hand to demonstrate the products! It's bad enough that the video quality is always so poor. |

pancakes thanks for posting those pix, I missed the first few minutes. I don't know why I'm so irritated at some of the prices. In the past I was willing to fling big bucks her way, but for the design retreads on some of the chipboard, for example, I don't see how her prices are justified. December Daily is one of my favorite projects, this is my 8th year I think, it kind of sucks the joy out when I feel like I'm being gouged. I know I'm not being forced to purchase anything, but again...buzz kill.

Thanks for sharing. I know I should not buy anything. I love Elle Studio products. It is so easy to use. I guess I can't quite explain that but anytime I have had collections from Elle Studio everything just seems to go together well. |

I'm so over Ali's money grabs. I bought 2 albums last year at $ 19.99 each and those were the very last things I bought from her. I would never pay $ 25 for a 6 x 8 album, even with protectors. I get (very nice) 12 x 12's with protectors for almost 1/2 that when they're on sale at Michael's.

Really? I may pick up 2 of the wood just to keep some numbers on hand
I only wrote down prices of things I was interested in so I don't remember the crazy price for the 6 in tall cork numbers
