An album is where I am struggling. I just don't know what I want. I really love the wood veneer from Color Cast Design and it uses Ali and SC 6 hole protectors but 4 of the holes in the protectors would be exposed although I seen where Jessica said you could contact her and she would make the cover with 6 holes if you wanted but then how hard would it be to manage 6 binder rings.

I am too much of an Ali product fan. My "wish list" is about $150 with shipping right now...I've got to cut some stuff. Because that's just nuts to spend on a 3x8 album kit.
I'm okay with no alpha in the kit. There would never be enough to do a lot of words I'd bet and I have sooo many alphas in my stash I'm set. I have a bunch of the Ali ones in colors that will match too.

Ugh. I really need you guys to talk me off the ledge. I really love the return to traditional colors. My problem? I have a brand new in box 2015 kit and two minis. Life stopped for me that December (ok paused). It's really lovely and I know I should use it but the new one is so tempting.
ETA: its the 2016 kit brand new in the box. 2015 is a completed album with no photos or journaling. I.e. Still useable yet I'm thinking about getting the 2018 kit.

I just went through my Christmas supplies and made my own kit. Last year I did classic with black, white, red and gold. This year I’m going retro with pink, green, aqua, gold and red. I try and change it up from year to year so they all look different.
I have an extra 6x8 album from one of Ali’s past sales that I’ll use.
I am so happy I did this tonight because it took away the FOMO I might have had for tomorrow. Nothing really excited me seeing the previews but the kit I just made does, so I am happy that I’m using my stash and saving some money, too!! #winning. #goodenough

Thanks for the post about the AE blog post with the pics . that's actually the 1st time I've seen everything as I couldn't stand to watch the video. What's most striking in looking at the pdf, other than the prices, is the uniformity of color across the products, main and add in kit. That's really taking a gamble that folks like those colors. I've got to handed it to ali. She's changed it up again and rolled the dice. Things are never boring with a DD release!

I’m surprised. This is the first kit in forever I’ve been tempted to purchase. Not too much of her handwriting. Makes me happy. I like some of the add ons-some of the wood veneer, numbers, stars,etc.
But I just can’t lay down that kind of cash for it. Even if I buy the same dollar amount of Christmas stuff from other retailers,I feel like I get a better value when I order bits of what I want from all over.

Realistically I could buy it all but it’s just crazy money and I will more than likely want fj and HipKits as well. For Christmas 2014 I’m already started into my 3rd 12x12 album, but having at least one my nephews in my preschool classroom the last 5 years has meant I’ve tons and tons of Christmas photos. So I do use a lot of Christmas product but I’m just feeling like some of the prices are just super high and I think if I bought everything I wanted I’d be disapointed at the amount in the box for the price plus I still haven’t gotten my summer release parcel that cost $100 |

I love getting most of my stuff from one place if possible because paying multiple shipping charges to Australia is painful. I do believe some of the items Ali is offering are not value for money, but some of it is good, if you like her aesthetic. If not, then of course, why bother! The wood veneer items she is offering are fairly priced. Those large rubber pieces are stupidly expensive. On another note, the Chipboard polka dot numbers is NOT $9.99 as was stated in the video (that seemed insanely high) it is $6.99...possibly high, but much better than $9.99. My plan is simple: I am choosing a few things that I feel 1) I need 2) I like 3) will be cheaper for me to get from Ali(albums almost always fit in this category). I splurge a bit on December Daily because I find I actually finish it if I am using products I really love, and I love having finished books. It is my big project for the year. My kids absolutely love looking at "The Christmas Books".

DD is my big project for the year, too, like impearia , and I have the same inclination - if I love it, I get it, even if it's a bit of a splurge. I always use this project to try new techniques and really play with my products. I do something new almost every day - stitching journaling lines or patterns, embossing, a paint or ink technique, something I haven't tried with design/LO, etc. I get a lot out of this project and my family loves those albums the best. Last year I got very little from Ali since my stash was so big and I didn't really love her 2017 products, but this year I will definitely get a few things. I like the colorful card set best of all the cards and paper supplies. Plainer cards are more versatile for me. I like the embellishments in Ali's main kit, so I'm thinking about getting that as well. Overall, I think Brandi's kid's kit looks the freshest of the products and so much fun, I wish it came in 6x8 and was skewed a bit older. Would love to see a teen kit next year, I'd be all over that. |

carolynhasacat Brandi is also coming out with a kit for feed your craft so that one will likely be skewed older and will include the traditional sized cards (but likely not paper? Idk that fyc ever does paper)

I just don't understand why on the timeline pic there is no shipping info. I would think you would already have this product in warehouse or you need the preorder sales to get it from your distributor. The later would cause me to wonder why the distributor wouldn't deliver and invoice. Attachments:
