This is a challenge in the memory of our 2Peas friend, donna . She passed away on July 5th 2018 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. It will be a monthly challenge. Before Donna died she really wanted to get the albums she was making for her boys, finished. The Peas were amazing and created over 200 photoless LOs to send to Donna so she could add her photos and achieve this goal. She had stories to tell and wanted to get them told. So in donna 's memory I think we should all scrap our own important stories. You'll know when you've done one of those special LOs, one of those ones you've been procrastinating about but it's a story or photo you really wanted to get in an album. You'll know when it's a Donna worthy LO because it's something personal to you. It would be great if you share it here or just let us know you've done something you think is Donna worthy. And because donna was a chemistry teacher, I'm throwing in an equation each month as an extra challenge. So this months equation is: use 3 hearts, 5 stars and something yellow on your creation. You must use all items, but if you don't have something, you can substitute something you feel is similar, please don't feel like you can't take part because you don't have an equation item, just pick something similar. Also when it says use 3 of an item, you can use more if you want, as long as there's at least 3 it's good. Do each challenge separately or feel free to combine them.

I already know what I'm going to scrap, and it is something I just learned about and don't even have a photo yet. But my son got engaged this weekend and I have the layout already in my mind. I know Donna's son was engaged and her DIL to be is wearing her wedding dress. So this layout will definitely be in honor of Donna.

My dh sent me an email months ago asking me to do a page with some very (makes me cry) sweet journaling to our son about how proud he is of the young man he is becoming. He had some ideas for different photos for the layout too. And I haven't done the layout yet. It's one of those I feel is so special that I don't want to fail in doing it justice. I just have to get over it and do it.

Here’s mine I’m on the road, so I’ll have to tally up my points later. ETA: *Created LO: 1 *Posted: 1 *Donna challenge: 2 *Rock the rectangles: 1 *Sketch/Scraplift challenge: 1 *Pinterest LO: 1 *Bung a flower on it: 1+ 5 or more: 1 *It's more fun when we're together!: 1 (Does this one count? I didn't journal specifically because the "title" and "stamped" background kinda says it all.) *Border Security: 1 *Level UP!: 1 *Celebrate with me!: 1- 4 hearts, word LOVE, a rose(?), green, metallic gold ( grammadee , IF THIS DOESN'T COUNT DUE TO THE FLOWER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, AND I'LL REMOVE MY POINT. ) *Single Photo: 1 *Make a LO inspired by a class: 1- I'm taking the new Shimelle layer upon layer upon layer class...it's not over, yet. *My Starts!: 1

Way to start this off, KikiPea ! Love that title and your clusters. Way to express your love. Donna would love this. Thank you! Funny thing is, I was looking for something to print on large scale, and wasn't sure what I was looking for. This just popped up while I was scrolling through a FB album, and I just HAD to scrap it!

Beautiful page, KikiPea . Great clusters and love your stamping on the background! Thanks! The background "stamps" are actually part of the Bella Blvd background paper.

I did this one and managed to add 3 hearts, 5 stars (in 3 different colours so it also fits challenge #47) and something yellow. There's a yellow flair badge that says #happy and a couple of yellow stars on there. The hearts are a couple of inflated Amy Tangerine ones from Shine On and they're pretty cool

Here is my page. This is my favorite photo of us on our wedding day 50 years ago. We had it framed and hung on a wall for about 20 years, but then when we moved that framed pic went into a box not to be seen until a couple of months ago when I was going through boxes in the basement. I didn't take the photo out of the frame, but simply snapped a photo of it with my iPhone, and then printed that photo off to use for this "page". Wedding Day by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I have lots of heart stickers, but none of them seemed to work, so I made my own with Nuvo drops. Had a bit of trouble figuring out how to get stars on the page, but then remembered the tiny star shaped confetti which was part of a jar from Michaels'. I will be sharing this in the Team share thread b/c it meets some other challenges besides this one. But I wanted to share it here. Thanks for setting up this challenge, kiwigirl to give us a chance to scrap some of the special moments. This will go into a shadow box and be displayed at our anniversary party. Not sure what will happen to it afterward: the colours don't really go with anything in our house LOL.

Thanks, kiwigirl . Your page is stunning. I love the way the colours pop against the black background, and that title is very inspiring. I've just realised my & has disappeared from the title! It did say I can & I will.... whoops! I couldn't find the navy chipboard & anywhere! That will turn up one day somewhere won't it. I picked an acrylic one instead and have updated the pic!

Not sure what will happen to it afterward: the colours don't really go with anything in our house LOL. It could be a good layout to include in an album of important stories about you and your DH. It's a beautiful layout, I really love the green background, it's unexpected but so gorgeous. kiwigirl Love the inky sequin clusters and the mix of alphas in your title. The little photo strip is cool too.

I'm not sure if my layouts 'count' as Donna challenges - with one exception, this batch is photo-less - simply because I have no photos for these stories of my Dad that my mum shared with me - I have only two photos of Dad prior to their marriage in 1969 - one in his uniform from 1944 and another from his 40th birthday in 1965 (which I just scrapped). He was poor growing up and his family didn't take (or have taken) photos and if there are photos from his first marriage, my sister would have them and I've certainly never seen them (or even heard they exist).
But I do have these memories that mum (she's 81) has shared with me - stories he told her - and I'm getting them scrapped into a special album about dad - the layouts themselves aren't expecially special - they're mostly journalling...but the stories, the stories are priceless. Dad's been gone since 1989 and I don't know how much longer mum will be around to pass along memories.

I think getting the stories down on paper is the HEART of the Donna challenge, Linda. I think Donna would be proud of you doing this.

Making woodysbetty's link clickable: layoutIt's a lovely layout, the colour scheme is really peaceful and I love how the striped paper picks up the colours from your card. Linda I agree this challenge is totally about recording your Mum's stories - I cannot think of anything more perfect.
