If you are like me, then sometimes, well, sometimes, I lose my mojo or maybe just my momentum. I have things I want to do but not the energy to do them. Also if my craftroom is getting unorganized I just can’t create. For this challenge, you’ll still get craft related things done, but not projects. For this challenge you need to spend some time on organizing, editing photos, cleaning, tagging digital kits, putting pages in albums, etc. Things that are needed, but not necessarily the fun part. Come tell us what you’ve done. This challenge runs all month.
For anyone.
For the Monthly Team Challenge points you get 1 point for each one hour of work time. The time does not have to be consecutive, just keep track until your total is 60 minutes.

I am in. My desk and scrapbook room is the messiest ever for some reason. I need to be organized to be more productive. Getting my desk cleared off and everything in the correct place first.

I'm glad you included organizing photos. That is a task I have dreaded doing for about 2 years now.

It looks like there is a lot of us this month that have some organizing plans. Woo Hoo! We're going to be so stylin' at the end. OK well, at least better organized. destined2bmom, you were getting close to finishing your room up last month. How did you do? All done?

I'm in, I have a trove of photos I need to organize. I did a lot of organizing in 2018 so far, I just need to follow through on my labeling plans.

I am waiting for 2 photo storage boxes to arrive to organize my photos and I want to unmount my rubber stamps to store them differently. But I am very happy on how organized it is now and how easy it is going to be to use when I get a chance to craft.

I can do that in bits and pieces until my family leaves next week. That will also help me get prepared to hit it hard when company has gone home.

I'm in. I overspent and I feel overwhelmed. I am purging my paper pads by only keeping the papers I know I'll use.

2 hours spent going through patterned paper and pads. I have 2 inches of pp going to donation and my step daughter. I have maybe 6 in of loose pp. A lot less than I thought! I don't need anymore:) I looked through my pads and the vast majority I actually like, so I'll make more of an effort to use them. I do have a lot of things but this was the last to organize well it was until I decided to have a little scrap area upstairs as well as my room... I have an end table, basket and 4 iris containers of supplies. It is a disaster and I don't know where to start. I'm going to take a pic and post to flkr gallery

What do you mean you don't know where to start? As in to organize the supplies in your upstairs area? Yes, it's very cluttered I took a good 30 minutes or so to straighten out my area. It's far from perfect but it's a ton better and I can scrap again

I took a good 30 minutes or so to straighten out my area. It's far from perfect but it's a ton better and I can scrap again I feel that way all the time in all areas of our house. I just don’t know where to start and get discouraged before I start. Then I remember if I just pick one small thing and do it. Then another and by the 3rd or 4th thing I start to feel like I can actually make some progress. Then I look at the next room and 🤦♀️. 😂 Glad you can scrap again!

So, after I cleaned my little scrap area, hubby and I decided to hang up some pictures since we finished painting the hallway. So then I decided to organize my livingroom, well it looked so good that all my scrappy supplies looked like a huge mess. My son and I hauled them back down into the scraproom and then after supper I spent 2 hours putting everything away and cleaning the scraproom. I still have to vacuum but that can wait

Can I give some inspiration to anyone who is organizing photos? I took on this project last spring. I went from about 20 photo storage boxes to 4 Iris cases. I sorted, purged, and created several giveaway boxes. Doing this is what got me motivated to start scrapping again. This is a small sample of what I began with . This is what I ended up with. I also have a container that holds 10 by 13, 11 by 14, 8 by 10 and 5 by 7 s.

dasmith2, that made me laugh. Sounds totally like something I’d do. KelleeM, wow! That’s awesome! I started taking things out of the craft room yesterday. In one corner was a bookshelf and sewing armoire that the electric lift for the machine stopped working. So it was just storage. My rolling cart with mixed media supplies sat in front and then everyone just piled anything and everything on top. Wrapping paper, the electronic keyboard, clothes, empty boxes for goodwill, etc. I emptied the whole section. Then I spent 3 hours just organizing sewing notions. Then I emptied another bookshelf, organizing some and getting 4 small boxes ready for basement storage. Now I’m wondering why in the heck I thought I could - should do this!! What was I thinking!? My room is on the main floor and we won’t be tearing it apart and redoing for at least 2 years. But the contractor did have to tear into a few walls and the ceiling a couple of years ago to shore up the upstairs. So I have some not nice drywall panels (we didn’t pay for them to make it perfect since it’ll just be ripped out again). The original walls are a navy blue. TodayI picked up a very light blue paint for the room. Even with uneven walls, I hope the paint will brighten and liven the room.

Finding out I am having a granddaughter inspired me to go through my box of baby stuff which was actually 2 boxes. Then I split the boxes into boy and girl stuff. Anything that is both I put in the girl box to see if I use it over the next year or two.
Then I went through wedding to pull stuff I can use for my wedding album redo. For the most part I am going to try to reuse much of the original stuff.
Later today I am grabbing a trash bag and I am going to start picking up obvious trash in my scrapbook room as I clean a bedroom we are redoing. When I am done with it I will post some organizational points for today.

myboysnme, I must have missed the baby girl announcement! How exciting! I’m still working in the craft room today. One wall has a new coat of paint.

I have been organising photos to see what I need to print to catch up. I was on a scrapping hiatus for 2016, although I have several packets of photos printed already. 2017 I have photos printed from June onwards but not all of them...and I've just discovered a load more on my external hard drive so I need to go through what I have and see what is missing. And then I am trying to keep up with 2018 as well so I don't end up another year behind!
I'm also backing up all my digital photos on to the EHDs so that if anything happens to my laptop they are not lost forever. I don't have a cloud subscription so it gets a bit laborious at times and I know I could be 'smarter' about it, but at least it will be done.

I'm finally starting to organize my dresser that holds fabric (has been packed away for a couple of years) that could all use a good wash ._. And I have a shoebox of notions, feet, etc.Fortunately I just have a handful of those supplies compared to scrapping lol

I laughed too. I'm happy for my organizing and decorating mood You don't know how it warms my heart to see that you are laughing and feeling happy, even for a short while! I just finished all that I am going to do today. I tossed one large bag of trash. I sat on the floor and just pitched and sorted. You can tell a little bit. You don't slip on paper when you walk into the room. Before I go to bed tonight I have to clear off some items I sorted today on DH side of the bed, haha! I am having weight loss surgery at the end of Sept and really have a goal to be able to do things and be motivated again. My hips hurt so much running the carpet cleaner and vacuum in the extra room, so it was a relief to just sit for awhile and purge. I am going to give myself 4 points for my efforts today.

craftykitten, photo organization is always a challenge for me. Good luck! dasmith2, I have way more scrapbook supplies too. I’m glad you are happily organizing and decorating. myboysnme, good job. I hope your surgery goes well. I know someone who had it done several years ago and she looks great today. I’ve thought about it. I ran across an almost finished (needed the zipper finished, button, and hem) pair of shorts while cleaning out the sewing area. They were maybe a 26” waist and wouldn’t fit one thigh now. I hope with the room organization and clean up, I’ll be able to get on the treadmill and lose some weight. Me, I’m still working. I have the 2nd wall primed but DH is cooking and asked me to wait until after it’s ready so I’m not in the middle of painting when it’s time to eat. I still hope to finish it and get the shelves in tonight. What I’m starting with and how it’s coming.

LisaDV love that colour! and a question - I spent 6 hours today transcribing a travel journal and a long letter of memories in Word (ended up with 33 pages in word between them) - they will eventually be used for scrapbooking. Can I count that as organising?

These last 2 days have been wonderful. The anxiety is starting to come back its been worsening, but having that much needed break, maybe temporary, but who knows, maybe not, allowed me much needed rest and some great time with my family.I wrote down lots of creative ideas, I loved it for sure and it felt so good. I am truly blessed that I got to feel how wonderful life is. How I wish everyone at their bottom could feel that..it's definitely been a journey, and it's far from over, but I really feel like the worst is behind me. Thanks to all for your support, it truly helped me see so much <3

another 2 hours today - putting away purchases, transcribing another memories letter from my mum, and scanning photos LisaDV - I'm claiming the transcribing time but I'll subtract it if you tell me it doesn't count.
