Linda the stories on your pages are so wonderful! I meant to comment on the other thread...but what a treasure to have all those memories recorded! I am back on it with the photo organisation today, I have 4 packets of photos each one about 2 inches deep, that need sorting for my 2016 album. I know they are (mostly) from 2016 but I don't know which month, and all the ones from the same occasion are jumbled up (my only complaint about the photo printer I use). And of course they print the file name on the back, but these were before I realised that so they are just the generic numbers my camera gives them.....so I'm searching each file name, slowly. Getting there!!

LisaDV love that colour! and a question - I spent 6 hours today transcribing a travel journal and a long letter of memories in Word (ended up with 33 pages in word between them) - they will eventually be used for scrapbooking. Can I count that as organising? Yes, definitely! And Good job! I have boxes and boxes of memorabilia to go through, so not looking forward to that. Sorry, it took so long to reply. I wasn't really online yesterday. I took my son to the orthodontist. When I got home, I was exhausted and napped. After that, all I did was make more salsa and fold fabric while watching Avengers.

craftykitten, I've had that issue before. I try to import using the date now, but my iphone just refuses to import right. It will import the same photo with different dates. So annoying. And it means instead of a 1,2,3 done process, it takes me hours to get it done. I don't envy you the job, but once it's complete you'll be so ready to get them scrapped.

I'm in. I overspent and I feel overwhelmed. I am purging my paper pads by only keeping the papers I know I'll use. That’s what I need to do. Only keep the paper I know I will use from the paper pad. Good idea!!!😊 I did pull some Maggie Holmes Flourish paper out of pads today and put with the wedding stuff to Scrapbook my daughter’s wedding. Now I need to go back and purge what I won’t use ever. 😉

I have been organizing a lot - so much wedding stuff I had forgotten I purchased, but am organizing it all to get ready to scrapbook my daughter’s wedding. Starting to look less overwhelming. 😊 I have also been getting rid of all the stuff, everyone seems to put in this room when they don’t know where it goes. I’m guilty of this also.

Ay yay yay...how did I manage to print so many photos and yet miss out whole months?! Crazy times.
I've dated all the photos and most of them are in order. Now I need to go through my photos + diary and see if there's anything important that I missed. Like, any birthdays?!

I’m about ready to move out of the fabric area. I started with the plastic shoe boxes (left side of photo), because I had them on hand. Then I ended up at the $ store yesterday after voting. I found these cute bins on the right. I plan to go buy the rest of them later today or tomorrow. I had planned on using 2 shelves for fabric. 4 shelves later and I’m finally finished. Most bins have room to grow, except for specialty fabric and scraps. Now I need to figure out interfacing storage and beading/bracelet making. DD has floss, bands, beads and I’ve spent a bit of time organizing with what she already had to use, but now I’m wondering if there is something better.

I took a good 30 minutes or so to straighten out my area. It's far from perfect but it's a ton better and I can scrap again I feel that way all the time in all areas of our house. I just don’t know where to start and get discouraged before I start. Then I remember if I just pick one small thing and do it. Then another and by the 3rd or 4th thing I start to feel like I can actually make some progress. Then I look at the next room and 🤦♀️. 😂 Glad you can scrap again! This is me. I get so discouraged and don't even know where to start at all anywhere! So I do the flylady just 15 minutes. And I usually find that 15 minutes will get more areas back into shape. But it doesn't feel that way when I'm looking at it lol. I find that I am constantly changing things in my scraproom hoping to find that magic configuration that will make me a prolic scrapper

LisaDV - your fabric doesn't look too out of hand. Definitely not worse than my scrap stash lol. What do you plan to sew?

Before I upload my pics for printing I rename them in groups. Like - 2017-04 KYLE BD. Then they will come out with -1 -2 -3 and so on behind your "rename". This has saved my bacon more than once

I have my fabric dresser, I still need to take add my fabric. I also use a vinyl tablecloth (with flannel backing) for my design board for quilting. I started a quilt for one of my sons I'd like to finish before Christmas

One stack is for lounge pants for the kids, with a dress for dd, and something else for dd by dd. There is a quilt backing for my bed. I haven't figured out the top yet, but loved the fabric for the back and bought it. I also have a some for outdoor furniture cushions which was bought in 2010 (yeah, still not even attempted). Some is for tote bags and microwave bowl cozies. And some is for quilting and other various smaller projects.

I'm on supply overload. I'm trying to decide the best way to store things and have purchased many new items to help with that. $$ Spending way too much money. But will be excited when it's done.

I finished the room painting. I didn't have room to take everything out of the craft room, so some stuff just got moved to the other side of the room to finish painting the last 2 walls. I cleaned off my computer desk, which took forever. There was way too much junk on it. I found one of my really good $$$ necklaces that was a present from dh. I don't even remember the last time I wore it. I usually always put it back in its special spot. Plus tons of other stuff. I'm hoping I will start to keep it clean now. Only time will tell. I realized that my craft desk top was really nice and hated to lose it. Plus the island I was building was going to be so big that I'd feel claustrophobic in the space. So I started thinking of different ways to arrange the room. Then DH got involved and well, now I have a different room plan than when I started. But also, due to the change, I asked DH if we could put up shelving above the desk space on the wall for storage. He said yes. I bought the supplies yesterday. Hopefully today he'll work on that. Then everything gets to go back in the space.... I can't decide if I want to shout for joy over having a neat and organized room or hang my head in defeat at the amount of work ahead of me still . But I'll still keep plugging away.

Thought I’d share my beat up desk all clean. It’s not fancy but I wanted a small footprint and a keyboard tray. Also dh & I put up the shelving strips last night. After church he’ll cut down the boards for the small wall and we’ll build the base for the work counters. It’s getting there.

Editing photos. Not my favorite thing, but I'm going to try something different. Usually I end up getting an order together all at one time. In the future after I finish up a LO I'm going to try to edit a set of photos and have them ready to order BEFORE I start working on another LO.

I'm adding 6 points for scraproom cleanup today. It's amazing. I hauled out 5 bags of donations (and drove them to the center) and several bags of recycling and trash, and put away some large items that were never supposed to be occupying space in that room in the first place, and it doesn't look like I lifted a finger. It's still a wreck. There's still so much more to do.

adding 2 points. I finished scanning May-July 2007 layouts and put them in albums. I cleaned up my scrapbook desk. I sorted out the photos from two Boy Scout trips into page protectors by layouts - one from July 2007 and the other from September 2007.
Now back to scrapping in hopes of at least getting the July 2007 Boy Scout trip scrapped before the end of the month. I think (but haven't confirmed) that these two sets of pictures will finish up 2007.
