I am getting a replacement phone overnighted to me Fedex from the insurance company. Great and awesome. It shipped out last night at 7 pm from Texas, I am in Maine and by 8:30 this morning it was already in Portsmouth NH which is a half hour away from me.
So it took 12 hours to travel cross country and yet it still sits there and the tracking says it will get here "by 8:00 pm" The fact that it said "by 430 pm" initially is making me a little annoyed.
Seriously I wish I could have had the option to DRIVE down and pick it up in Portsmouth. If I thought that was even an option (has anyone done that? I'm visualizing some guy in the Portsmouth center sighing and then having to hunt through boxes for my box or they'd probably look at me and say "no that's not how things work."
I know First World Problem but I need the phone for work tomorrow (I'm off today) and I need the ATT store to walk me through activating it (yes I'm too stupid to do that). I thought I would be all set to do it myself but to get all my stuff transferred over I guess I need my icloud info but for some reason my iCloud password isn't working so I need them to reset it at the store for me. If it comes close to 8 I have to wait until tomorrow. ARGH.
I'm really hoping the tracking is wrong and it is actually on a truck headed my way and will be here soon. It's already noon and I could have driven there and back again numerous times.

I do not care for FedEx where I am. My package has been sitting asst their place in CT, which is an hour from my house since Monday. It won't be delivered at my house until Friday. Why? Who knows.

Apple can walk you through the entire process. There is no way ATT will be able to reset your icloud password - that sounds might suspicious to me.
You could call Apple now with your old phone in hand and se if they can help you. Even if it's out of warranty.

ONE order from Amazon........ 3 packages: FedEx 3 days. (they all say 8pm, FedEx delivered at noon) USPS delivered as scheduled. UPS returned as undeliverable, wrong address. ALL one order, same address, same phone number, no call from UPS!
UPS has returned a second order and a hold on another for days........... USPS has delivered 2 more orders.. 10:20am and 3pm...

Ugh, I feel you!!!
Yesterday I dropped my phone and broke it, tomorrow I leave at 6 am for five days at a music festival. I had to work in the office today because my work from home security is on my broken phone. I also have a new one being overnighted and supposed to arrive today, keeping my fingers crossed I get it today!!

It's easy to fixate on the package you're waiting for and forget the possible hundreds on the truck along with yours. It very well could be on the truck on the way to you but there's probably many deliveries along the way, enough to fill up most of the delivery employee's workday. (not a straight shot to your house) I worked USPS and know some of how it works and I still get impatient waiting sometimes- it's human nature. Good luck.

It's easy to fixate on the package you're waiting for It really is... I ordered a pair of cycling shorts on ebay Sunday afternoon. Before I ordered I checked out the seller's profile and they have a 100% rating with almost all their reviews raving about their quick shipping. Three days later I still don't have a shipping notification so I messaged the seller this morning to check on the status. I just received a reply and they've had to evacuate their warehouse because of the wildfires in CA and haven't been able to ship anything this week. Here I am worrying about a stupid pair of shorts and their whole livelihood is hanging in the balance. I feel like an ass.

Amazon deliveries are the WORST. I had one of their drivers refuse to deliver a package because they couldn't get access to my house. UM, HELLLOOOO, to the H-E-double-hockey-sticks no!!, are you getting access to my house. What's wrong with leaving my $12 package on the front porch like every package before?

UPS left packages in my car yesterday because of the weather. They usually specify where they leave them, but didn't this time. It was by pure luck we found them last night when my husband went out to the car

I cringe every time I see that a package is being delivered by Amazon. Those guys suck. I have a gated entry to my house, but they always leave the package on the sidewalk which in my neighborhood means it's getting stolen. One time, I got an alert that it had been delivered, so I immediately checked my front porch AND the sidewalk and it wasn't there. Then the next day I receive the package. It's like they just wanted to mark it as delivered so that it was in the 2 day Prime window.

Now that I step in to do shipping/logistics at work from time to time it has really opened up my eyes to how hard the delivery drivers work. At least the ones I have on route to and from my office. I can set my watch by the USPS delivery and Fedex comes through to check on pick ups even on days we don’t have anything to send. Even my mailman at home is pretty reliable time wise, even if he refuses to take outgoing mail /eyeroll
Your package is probably on a truck and on the way, but they have other stops to make before you.

Yes I agree it happens, I'm so incredibly impressed how fast it moved overnight it was just funny with how it was tracking to get to me so late in the day but good news - I got it at 2:30 so it was just in time for me The guy at the ATT store was able to help me set it up and fixed my iCloud as well so I'm all set. Wahoo for technology!

I just can't figure this stuff out. I feel for you!
My package from Joanns shipped last week. It left the USPS in one city about 50 miles from here yesterday morning and returned there yesterday afternoon!

I had a package sent from Los Angeles to my home in Oregon. It went from LA to Guam. Guam. It sat there for 4 days. In Guam. Then it started its final journey to Oregon. Address was correct, zip code had the extra 4 numbers I don’t even know and the address label was typed so there is no reason at all it ever should have made such a random departure. I hate how long UPS takes, but love that at least you can follow where it is.
