... the kind with the holes in a grid pattern set an inch apart from each other ... like this.Do you love it? Is it great having everything where you can see it? or Does it make your room seem cluttered? Is the stuff up high too hard to reach? Give me the good and the bad on pegboards and help me decide if I want one

I don't have one and I'll tell you why not.
1) I have issues with making too many holes in the walls. 2) It looks too cluttered for me. 3) I don't want my room to look like a mini LSS. 4) I am not sure what I would hang on it that would not be more convenient/better stored somewhere else.

In my old space I had one and loved it! I like seeing all my stuff out in the open...reminds me to use it! It gave me so much extra space in drawers and shelves. You can even get attachments for them that can hold things like markers...pens...stuff like that.
Putting it up was kinda a pain though.

I'm not going to have any pegboard in mine. I'm short, and the only place where I could hang it would be on the wall behind base cabinets so it would be really hard for me to reach anything. I would rather have shelves so I can put stuff in boxes or baskets. For me it's a more efficient use of the space and easier for me to access what's stored there. I have some pegboards that I use for booth displays when I'm vending at retreats and even positioned at the back of a 30" deep table, the stuff that's more than about 2' up is hard to reach.

I have a pegboard in my room, and I like it. But I don't really use it to hang all my product (stickers, embellies, etc) on, mainly because then I couldn't be in denial about how much stash I really have, LOL. Seriously, though, I think I would find using it that way too overwhelming. What I do with mine is I have a couple of shelves that run the length of my scrap table, hanging from the peg board, and I put supplies like bottles of mist, often-used stamps, my copic markers, silhouette tools (scraper, spatula, sketch pens) on it. I also have a hanging acrylic 12x12 paper holder that I keep my silhouette mats, cardstock, pixscan mat, etc. in. And I have one of those wooden cassette tape crates hanging on it that I store my ink pads in. What I love about it is that I can change it around all I want and don't have to put any new holes in the wall. I don't have much wall space in my room, so this kind of maximizes the little I've got.

I have a pegboard in my room as well and I really like it.
I am constantly changing it around to fit my needs. I bought the baskets with the pegs on them that fit right into the holes, as well as the hooks/pegs.
I am the kind of person who has to see what I have in order to use it.

I used to have a pegboard in my space. I'm totally hoping to be able to put one in this new craft space. I loved having my stuff easily accessible and how it freed up other space. I had 3 different shelves on it, the baskets like the ones in your picture, the hooks and straight pieces. I had some tins that I painted and hung and a super large one that held flowers from the floral department.

I currently do not have pegboard in my dedicated craft room. Although the numerous organizational/storage accessories (e.g. hooks, baskets, ledges) available for pegboard would allow me to store, see, & easily access a lot of embellishments/tools in a relatively small space, my concerns would be difficulty to install, potential damage to the wall, & especially visual clutter!

... my concerns would be difficulty to install, potential damage to the wall, & especially visual clutter! If I decide to have one, I'm planning to cut the board to fit into a big old picture frame I have, and I'm probably just going to lean it up against the wall. The only other spot I have for it is up over some cubes, too high to reach. I don't know about the visual clutter part though.

Having worked retail display for years, I would love to have some slat board walls. They look so much nicer than peg board. But costlier too You can purchase many different hooks, shelves etc. to configure your storage to fit your needs. I have no spare wall space in my room, but if I did have some I would go with slat board. I want my scrap space to be functional, but cute too!
