From The Hill... “Chip Kohser, chairman of the Republican Committee of Beaver County, told the newspaper that the Facebook posts predate Maloney's time as the secretary of the committee. "Those comments do not reflect the opinions of the Republican Party as a whole," Kohser said. Maloney did not respond to the newspaper's request for comment, and Kohser said he instructed her not to make any public statements. He told the Times that while the executive committee could remove Maloney as secretary, they do not have the authority to remove her as an elected committeewoman. Committee Chairman Chip Kozher told BeaverCountian.com that the posts would be investigated. "I will address this with her in the proper manner," he said. "Obviously that banter is not how I believe and is not how I think the Republican Party as a whole believes. I need to hear her side of the story and investigate it myself. Our Executive Committee would then take whatever action appropriate." President Trump frequently attacks NFL players who kneel, claiming earlier this month that they "wanted to show their 'outrage' at something that most of them are unable to define." Trump also has called for protesting players to be suspended without pay. Maloney, an avid Trump supporter, appeared on CNN's "The Van Jones Show" last month to discuss immigration. She identified herself as a Trump supporter and not a county committee officer. Maloney said during the discussion that Americans should care for other Americans first, before worrying about undocumented immigrants. "What about the black community that has one father or one mother?" she asked, according to the newspaper. “ Wait. She said those horrible things and THEN was allowed to hold office? SMDH.

I'm surprised he's not golfing. I can't imagine how exhausted the McCain family must be. A "regular" funeral is hard enough - I can't imagine going through one so public and with so many different venues. I for one appreciate their endurance. I have giggled for days thinking about that asshole in the White House and how crazy jealous and upset he must be that McCain is getting all this attention. John McCain must be giggling too. RIP John.

"One of the most striking figures to come out of the poll is shift that’s been taking place among college educated white women since early in Trump’s presidency, a constituency that former White House adviser Steve Bannon recently said is “triggered” by Trump. In April of 2017, 40 percent of college educated white women who participated in the ABC / Washington Post poll approved of Trump’s job performance. Fewer than 18 months later, that number has plunged to just 23 percent. I wonder how the other kids feel about her telling only her own stories and impression of their father, rather than how he was as a father to all of them? Bridget did a reading in Phoenix. I wold think that they were all consulted either now or by their dad in the past, he did plan the whole thing. Also we need to remember that Megan has been a host on Fox as well as The View more recently. She has extensive experience in public speaking for years. She did very well today following in her father's footsteps of strength and courage.

95 year old Henry Kissinger speaks better than the current POTUS! 2 year olds speak better then the current POTUS. The speeches being given are so moving. It just makes it even clearer that the divide this nation is suffering is not a Democratic/ Republican or Conservative/Liberal problem, but a Trump/Decency problem. It is entirely possible for people to disagree politically and still have respect for each other. It is possible for people to be politically conservative and still be a decent person who shows respect for all people. McCain embodied that in such a vibrant way. His passing is such a loss. May he Rest In Peace and my his family be comforted by the outpouring of love.

This, hopefully, will be a first step to Congress challenging him, saying NO. Once they cross that line they just might be able to do it again and again...........

I grew up in the adjoining county, on the other side of the PA/OH line, and I will guarantee you at least 75% of the white people in that particular armpit of America (and let's face it, the population itself is 98% white) would agree with her. Most of them wouldn't be dumb enough to tweet it, but they'd be smirking and nodding right along. Of course, she didn't lose her job...ignorance plus racism plus football is like the holy trinity to these people. Throw in guns and the cult-ier aspects of Christianity and you've got yourself a rural white American.

ABC News...
“Former Pres. Obama: "What better way to honor John McCain's life of service than...follow his example—to prove that the willingness to get in the arena and fight for this country is not reserved for the few, it is open to all of us—that, in fact, it's demanded of all of us."
Translation: No more sitting on the sidelines and not voting or voting for a third party candidate “to send a message”.

“Barack Obama: John McCain understood "that part of what makes our country great is that our membership is based not on our bloodline...where our parents or grandparents came from, or how recently they arrived, but on adherence to a common creed: That all of us are created equal."
The fact that we are created equal is not shared by way too many people.
