So why did Lindsey Graham think it was a good idea to invite Ivanka and Jared to the John McCain memorial service in DC.?
I know he checked with Cindy McCain first but if she had said no it would have come off as petty so she may have felt she didn’t have much of a choice. Or maybe by now she was just too tired to say no.
But, IMO, he should not have done it.

Josh Marshall... Today in conservatism Laura Ingraham suggests it may be time for the government to take over Facebook and Twitter and run them as public utilities to eliminate bias against conservatives. Which prompted this from Jon Cryer... “Because apparently conservatives like nationalizing things now.” Its not twitter or Facebook’s fault all the nutters on these platforms have ties to the right. 😀 So much for the party in favor of LESS government control!!! WTF RIP Republican Party you exist in name only now. Reagan is spinning in his grave. ‘Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.’ Reagan The government would be overstepping if it provided basic healthcare but not overstepping if it takes control of social media? How the hell do you not see the glaring problem with that?

Ah he is back on this...
The fact is that African/American unemployment is now the lowest in the history of our country. Same with Asian, Hispanic and almost every other group. The Democrats have been all talk and no action. My Administration has already produced like no other, and everyone sees it!
And he retweeted this...
“.@rasmussen_Poll just came out at 48% approval rate despite the constant and intense Fake News. Higher than Election Day and higher than President Obama. Rasmussen was one of the most accurate Election Day polls!”
Must be feeling a bit insecure this morning.

Lindsay has to support the idiot, as somehow he appears to be beholden to him.

I’m stealing this from Facebook because I believe there is a lot of truth in this..
“ Being taught to avoid talking about politics and religion has led to a lack of understanding of politics and religion.
What we should have been taught was how to have a civil conversation about a difficult topic.”
I will add the word “ honest”. That one is willing to have an honest discussion about politics and religion.
Too many times one seems to have an agenda different from having a honest discussion about politics and religion which leads to discourse. IMO.

Does that mean they crashed the funeral? Bet they regret ever going whether they gate crashed it or were actually invited. Unless they are totally lacking in any feeling, anyone in their shoes would have felt very very uncomfortable listening to all the eulogies yesterday, all saying the same thing in their own way.

I don’t think those pics show that Melania had a breast enhancement. I think it’s more likely that when she wears dresses with a more fitted top, like in two of the pics, that she wears a different type of bra than when she was wearing a looser dress. I really don't care, but I do remember seeing pictures of her naked. I guess people could check those out for actual before pictures.

Does that mean they crashed the funeral? Graham stated that the only people there were invited by the family. Who knows if he was telling the truth or not, or if he really did invite them..... Maybe that is who Meghan McCain was giving the evil eye look to when she said in her eulogy that America was always great, Ivanka! Thinking not. Graham and Leibermen(sp) were behind the presidents and Ivanka/Jared were sitting behind them.

Graham is talking double talk. He suggested it/ or was asked for invite by Ivanka, then asked Cindy if they could come. Hardly a direct invite. So his denial this morning is invalid. He brokered the invitation, so he could deny that he extended the invite. But he is still responsible. You know, that truth is not truth bs out of this party.
Tacky on Graham's part to initiate the conversation with the widow McCain, tacky on Javanka's part to show up, after they have been complicit in 'daddy's' attacks on McCain, and especially tacky that Ivanka was TEXTING during LIebermann's eulogy.
Can't buy class.......
And on Megan's eulogy... I am sure that this whole thing has been well -planned over past months, and that all the children were in agreement that Megan would talk. I suspect that her speech was written and approved by John and the siblings in advance. She is a public figure and shared politics with her dad, and none of the other children have that interest or experience. Also, neither of his blood sons could insult trump, as they are both active military. So I am sure that the family was in agreement on the whole format, and it really isn't anyone's place to question their decision.

linkFrom Newsweek... IVANKA AND JARED DESERVED BETTER SEATS AT MCCAIN'S FUNERAL, FORMER TRUMP AIDE FUMES By Jason Lemon On Sunday, September 2, 2018 - 10:00“Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg has expressed his displeasure over the fact that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were not given VIP seats at Senator John McCain’s funeral on Saturday. The Trump ally criticized the McCain family and lashed out at how Trump’s daughter and her husband were treated during the service. It was a very nice gesture by Jared and Ivanka to attend,” Nunberg told Politico. “I find it contemptible that the McCain family couldn’t seat them in a better, more respectable section.”Other Trump allies were also incensed that McCain’s daughter made critical comments seemingly directed at the president. We gather to mourn the passing of American greatness, the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice, those that live lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served,” Meghan McCain said. “The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.” The eulogy from the late senator’s daughter was “the last straw,” three sources close to the White House told Politico.“How much respect did trump show John McCain? trump has done absolutely nothing to deserve anyone’s respect since he has been in office. Nothing.

Nunberg is such a sterling character to pass that judgement.
Isn't he the one that was hired and fired by Team trump several times, refused to honor the subpeona from Mueller, then cried afterward, made some pretty disparaging comments about SHS, then was sued by Trump for giving and interview. He is probably going to be on the indictment list at some point, as he worked closely with Carter Page, and might be begging for a pardon.
I find it contemptable that javanka showed up at the Funeral, invited, semi invited or not......

I really don't care, either, so am not going to do that research. lol I just noticed that she had the same silhouette with the two similar dresses, so thought it was probably the outfit rather than speculation of a boob job.

Oops...
The Hill..
“Trump is failing to bring back American jobs”
“Ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, President Donald Trump is campaigning in battleground states with a new slogan: "Promises Made, Promises Kept."
But Trump's message isn't ringing true with working-class voters like Renee Elliott, a Democrat who cast her ballot for Trump in 2016. Elliott - who lost her job at the Carrier plant in Indianapolis after Trump promised to save it from being outsourced Mexico - thinks Trump's slogan should be the opposite - "Promises made, none of them kept."
Trump won the White House by selling himself to voters like Elliott and vowing to deliver "more jobs and better wages" by bringing jobs back to the U.S. Trump's pro-worker message helped him score upset victories in Democratic strongholds that have been hard-hit by outsourcing and the disappearance of good union jobs.
But 18 months into his term, Trump has betrayed his promises to the working-class voters like Elliott who helped him to the Oval Office.
Overall, more than 133,000 Americans have received pink slips since Trump took office.
President Trump has the power to stop giving taxpayer dollars to companies that outsource jobs. However, even though he's signed more than 100 executive orders and memoranda, he has yet to sign a single one that delivers on his promise to "create more jobs" by stopping offshoring.
For working-class voters who supported Trump, his inaction is political hypocrisy.
According to a Pew Research Panel survey of validated voters taken three times in 2016 and again in 2018, 62 percent of Trump voters still felt very warm views toward him. At the same time, there are a significant number of voters who hold a negative view of the president, and that number has grown since his election.
Take Randall Troyer of Elkhart, Indiana, who voted for Trump because he said he would keep companies like his employer, CTS Corp, from sending his job to overseas. Unfortunately, in a few weeks, CTS will be closing down its Elkhart plant and sending Troyer's job, along with others, to Mexico. And President Trump has done nothing, even though CTS was just awarded a federal contract.
"I voted for Donald Trump because he promised to save jobs. But my plant is moving to Mexico and he hasn't stopped it," Troyer said. "I'm 62 and worried about retirement. Who's going to hire me at this age?"
Dave Green, in Trumbull County, Ohio feels the same way. He's the local union president at the General Motors plant in Lordstown, Ohio, which went from 5,000 workers down to 1,500 in a series of recent layoffs. General Motors, which received $600 million in federal contracts from the Trump administration, announced the second layoff at the Lordstown plant earlier this summer -- on the same day, the company also announced plans to build the Chevy Blazer in Mexico.
"When Trump campaigned here, he told us hold on to your homes because the 'jobs are coming back.' But the reality is that people keep getting pink slips, and now hundreds of my members have put their homes up for sale to look for jobs elsewhere," Green said.
Trumbull County is a "pivot county" - a place that voted for President Obama twice before turning to Trump.
Trump's track record on offshoring is his Achilles heel. If Democrats want places like Trumbull County, and voters like Troyer and Elliott to pivot back in the upcoming midterms, they're going to have to show working-class voters that they will use the full power of our government to ensure American corporations keep good jobs right here in America.
It's clear that working-class voters aren't buying Trump's "Promises Kept" slogan. It's up to the Democrats to declare that they stand ready to pick up where Trump has failed to deliver.
Joseph Geevarghese is an attorney and executive director of Good Jobs Nation, a worker advocacy organization that is part of the Change to Win labor coalition, which is comprised of various unions including SEIU.”
