Jake Tapper..
“Wherein the president dismisses the official government of Puerto Rico death count from the 2017 hurricanes and their aftermath as a political plot against him.
Apparently of the belief that the death toll is about him and not about approximately 3,000 dead American citizens”
Elections have consequences and trump displayed this type of behavior prior to the election so it should be no surprise when he says something like this. It should be expected.

And this from Mark Hertling...
“Real leaders hold themselves accountable.”
And a random reply.
“He is quite literally the opposite of every positive leadership quality I have ever learned.”
Again all displayed before the election.

Tweet.. He really needs to GO! He obviously has no idea of the effects of natural disasters. Of course the death toll keeps rising, and long after the actual event. Sometimes, it takes time to find people, or to realise they are not coming back. Especially with so many evacuated - so many can be unaccounted for for ages.

linkAnd this from the Washington Post.. “On Sept. 7, President Trump woke up in Billings, Mont., flew to Fargo, N.D., visited Sioux Falls, S.D., and eventually returned to Washington. He spoke to reporters on Air Force One, held a pair of fundraisers and was interviewed by three local reporters. In that single day, he publicly made 125 false or misleading statements — in a period of time that totaled only about 120 minutes. It was a new single-day high. The day before, the president made 74 false or misleading claims, many at a campaign rally in Montana. An anonymous op-ed article by a senior administration official had just been published in the New York Times, and news circulated about journalist Bob Woodward’s insider account of Trump’s presidency.“

“Middle-Class Income Hits All-Time High!” @foxandfriends And will continue to rise (unless the Dems get in and destroy what we have built).”
Just exactly what has he built? Anyone?
Although I noticed for the first time he used “we” have built instead of his usual “I” have built. I wonder if he is including President Obama as part of the “we”? Nah.

Ok, I think he is starting to panic. He retweeted this...
“President Trump would need a magic wand to get to 4% GDP,” stated President Obama. I guess I have a magic wand, 4.2%, and we will do MUCH better than this! We have just begun.”
Fun fact, President Obama never said it.

Its gone from a category 4 to a category 2. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a dangerous storm but it’s certainly not getting “more powerful”

Kyle Griffin....
“Dianne Feinstein: "I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh ... That individual strongly requested confidentiality ... I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities."
I wonder what this is all about? But I did read some Democrats on the committee had heard about this information and were grousing because she wouldn’t share.
Rather then waiting to find out what this is all about, the Republicans will push on with the vote, even if it means they put a serial killer on the Supreme Court.

Didn’t the storm always have the storm surge/flooding potential, especially if the storm slows down and stalls? Which it appears to be doing because since I checked the weather station earlier it was moving at 17 mph and now it’s down to 10 mph. Maybe its because I’m from earthquake country and we don’t do hurricanes but a category 4 storm moving at 10 mph, it seems to me, would be more destructive than a category 2 storm moving at 10 mph. Neither I would want to be in by the way.

My understanding is that although the storm speed downgraded, but the actual size of the storm has actually increased, as well as the area where the tropical storm or greater force winds will impact. The water impacts haven’t changed, but they will now be spread over an even greater area. The slower moving, bigger area Cat 2 storm will likely do more damage then a smaller, faster moving Cat 4. Right now the storm is supposed to take 3 days to clear the Carolinas alone.

A lower wind speed is good, but in this case the destruction they're worried about isn't so much from the wind but from the storm surge and flooding from all that rain.

This story has a little more detail, but not much. that's going back to high school Even if it is going all the way back to high school, I am fine with it. This is the Supreme Court. There should be extremely high standards. There are millions of positions where I don't care what someone may have done in high school. A supreme court justice is not one of them. Not me. I am a completely different person than I was in high school. I had a lot of family issues which impacted my behavior. I would not judge someone based on their high school behavior unless it was continuous criminal behavior beginning in high school.
In my opinion he isn't running for Pope so I prefer to take a broader view. I will wait and see what the final investigation reveals.

I agree with this for this most part. There are some things I would have a hard time moving past though, and would definitely need a lot more information on before I was able to move past them like rape, molestation and murder off the top of my head.

I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility to discuss it- whatever it is- and ask him to explain whatever it was... even if he ended up with saying "I'm a completely different person than I was in high school, and this XXX is why..." I'm going to guess if it's big enough for them to bring up, it- whatever IT is- might go towards having shaped his viewpoint on some matter that could come before the court at some point. (and by this, I mean to say that I really hope it's not something petty that the Republicans could use to make the Democrats look foolish for having brought up.)

I think we need to keep in mind Diane Feinstein turned whatever the information was over to the Federal Investigative authorities.
So there is something there because I don’t Feinstein would do it for political gain. That’s not her style.

NYT (failing NYT, excuse me- lol) headline says it's something about sexual misconduct... not substantiated, of course, but that's the headline.
"The information came in a letter, which was first sent to the office of California Democratic Rep. Anna Eshoo, and included the allegation of sexual misconduct, the paper reported."
"Throughout 25 years of public service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has thoroughly and repeatedly vetted Judge Kavanaugh, dating back to 1993, for some of the most highly sensitive roles."
^^^ according to the internet, he graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1983... they didn't go back that far.

Harvey made landfall as category 4 and the winds all but flattened the small towns of Port Aransas and Rockport. But the most expensive damage was all the water the “dirty” side of the storm dumped on Houston for several days. We had only tropical storm force winds up here as I recall. If the rain bands park themselves anywhere for long, particularly a major population area, the damage will be catastrophic.

If this true, then now we know and for the Republicans, it’s no big deal.
Jon Cooper..
“🔥🔥🔥 BREAKING: Democrats alerted the FBI to decades-old sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The potentially damning claims were made in a letter given to Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Dianne Feinstein.”
Lets be honest about the Republicans and sexual misconduct. They confirmed Thomas even after Anita Hill testified. The Republicans not only elected trump but are protecting the head pussy grabber himself.
He’ll be confirmed regardless of what it is.

The FBI doesn't just look at the current year though. I was contacted for someone who needed security clearance and it was 5ish years after high school (and that was the time period they were investigating).

I agree with the thought that people can change and be mature. MY concern that is that BK is NOT impartial and is there to push a narrative. Justice should be blind....NOT tainted.
