For this challenge, you’ll still get craft related things done, but not projects. For this challenge you need to spend some time on organizing, editing photos, cleaning, tagging digital kits, putting pages in albums, etc. Things that are needed, but not necessarily the fun part. Come tell us what you’ve done. This challenge runs all month.
For anyone.
For the Monthly Team Challenge points you get 1 point for each one hour of work time. The time does not have to be consecutive, just keep track until your total is 60 minutes.

Looking forward to this...I will pop in as my plan this month is to ruthlessly go through all my printed photos - purge bad ones and duplicates ( remember in the 90's every time you put photos in for printing they gave you a second set free ...I kept them , ) then sort into ones to store and ones to scrap... right now they are neatly hoarded in about 35 photo boxes cause I have a hard time letting go of pictures....weird....

Thank you - I was hoping this one would be back again this month as I have more scanning to do - and more layouts to put in albums - and more photos to print

destined2bmom, when you're done with your stamps, do you want to come do mine? I can pay in farm fresh eggs and although I don't make or drink coffee, I will dig out the nice coffee maker that my sister keeps at my house for her visits and will even learn how to work the thing so you have copious amounts. JaneB, and count those points! woodysbetty, I don't envy you going through 35 photo boxes, but it's a totally worthy endeavor! You can do it! Linda, you should have lots of pages to put away after last month! I hope you stay on your scrappy roll, as I enjoy seeing your pages and use of color so much. I hope to continue the craft room organization. I still have a bunch of stuff piled in the living room and dining area that needs to be dealt with. Plus I want to work on getting my digi supplies tagged.

LisaDV - thank you I just ordered more albums - they are on sale this month at HL but of course they were out of stock. 8.5x11 albums aren't as plentiful as other sizes. Hopefully they will come in on Tuesday as promised although I suspect a week Tuesday may be more accurate. Claiming 2 pts for scanning so far this month.

I got up this morning and spent about 3 hours sorting and organizing to scrap my current photos at my Monday crop. My bed is absolutely covered with product. I just sent over my photos to be printed from this week - 2 birthdays and DIL's 5 month pregnancy photos. She came by today so I can take them. She is so tall and thin she doesn't even show but it's fun to put the photos side by side each month.
So I am going to give myself points for all this organizing because all of it is photo related for sure!

As I sort through all these photos I wonder if anyone has purchased a scanner simply to scan in photos...I have a 12x12 scanner and my printer scans but I wonder if it would be worth it to purchase a scan that you can feed pics in quickly and add them to my digital photos....can you see I am looking really downsize!! LOL!

woodysbetty I spent weeks doing a huge photo sort/purge and it’s so liberating!! Good luck to you! I realized yesterday that my eyelets, brads and buttons need a big sorting/purging so I may work on that this month.

It does feel good...and I am finding photos that are screaming to be scrapped which is so funny because most of these photos are from a time before I scrapped!! But yikes why did i save the crummy ones too and their duplicates!!!!

I haven't but I keep looking at them - especially when I think about all my mum's photos - she hasn't handed them down yet but since she's almost 82, it's inevitable I'll end up with them one day.

woodysbetty, I can't believe how far you've gotten already. I had a scanner at one time, I think it had an auto-feeder you could put on, but it was clunky and hard to use at that time. It was probably 15+ years ago. I always just used the manual. Now both of our printers have a scan feature. Definitely slow. Have you thought about sending them out to be scanned? I don't know the cost difference. But then you wouldn't have to move the scanner.

2 hrs to upload and order photos - CVS's site was SO slow today - and another hour sorting them into layouts into page protectors in binders (plus a little tidying up of my space)

I have 2 hours so far - so 2 points. Been working in the scrapbook room and purged a lot and organized all the wedding stuff for the album. Also, putting all the stuff together for my 6x8 thanksgiving album for when we go to NC for a week to visit my newly married daughter. We are bringing our two grandsons so it will be fun!
I think I may keep updating this post with my organizing points to keep better track and then add up at the end of September .

I spent an hour rearranging things in the craft room. I’m glad you mentioned putting pages in albums, I have an iris container full of pages to put in albums. Maybe I can get to them this week.

I'm so excited to be posting on this thread. Weeks ago I told DD15 she could use my craft table until after the 3 day weekend. Well, it's mine again. Everything needs to be cleaned up and put away, her stuff and my stuff included (I've been spreading my stuff out all over the floor) and I'm hoping tonight's the night!
ETA: Well, I have 75% of my table back anyway (not sure where to put her stuff.) Feels good!

I just did 50 minutes of photo editing and organising (computer, drive + clouds). I always forget how time-consuming it is until I get into it and realise I've been at it for awhile. "Oh really, it's already been almost an hour? What? I feel like I've barely done anything." 0.8 of a point for me so far.

Except, I'm like why am I already tired of doing this, I've only just started?@! Oh, it's been an hour already?? No wonder I'm tired of this.

3 hours of scanning (Jan/Feb 2006) and putting layouts into albums (Oct-Dec 2007 and Jan/Feb 2006)
That's about as scrappy as I'm getting today...

I bought some more digital kits this weekend as one of my favourite stores (GingerScraps) had a 50% off sale, so I spent a fair bit of time organising my digital kits. I also finished my master list which is on an Excel spreadsheet. I can search by designer or store or kit name. I also put a little snippet of each kit next to the name so I can see the colours at a glance.
ETA: I've spent at least two hours this weekend on organising my kits and list.
