Good Morning! justlisa7 - that wedding album is just gorgeous! Gorgeous! nylene - I hope your DH and you are both on the mend soon! So much going on with you both. When it rains it pours does seem to be true. Once I understood how addresses worked in Utah, and new the orientation of the mountains, it was easy to find my way around. I wondered why every city was set up that way lol. woodysbetty and LisaDV - how exciting about the moves! And stressful! I love starting over fresh in a new city, new home, etc. But I also hate moving. We moved a lot when I was a kid and through out my married years so while where I am not is not my dream home, I will probably stay put anyway lol. Welcome patin ! I am new to this group too @elaynef - thanks for the welcome! I love your grid page! especially all the sparkle you added! That's sad that your scraproom is being torn up. And the $$! I hope they finish soon! grammadee I'm sure you are enjoying spending time with the little one! My day is off to a stressful start and I hope it calms down. I forgot to post my challenge last night and then found this morning that I hadn't taken the photos for it either like I had thought. Ugh what a mess! But it's up now. I hope to get some scrapping in this weekend. I thought I had a lot of time during the week, I realized last night I could have, it I just rearrange some things. Hope you all have a great day!!

Good Friday morning, Pokeys! nylene, I too hope your vision clears and that your dh’s radiation treatments are successful. So much stress for you. Glad to see you have been able to craft. Hope it gives you a chance to forget all that stress and feel whole and peaceful. Left love for your creations in the Gallery. Love the new look to your living room, @elaynef. Too bad your craft room is now torn up. How long will the upheaval last? Hope your first week with students went well, justjac. Glad we are now registered for the October crop. I have been scrapping the last 3 days, but have run out of steam. Will share next week when I am home. One more full day here then flying back to Alberta. Hoping to make a scarecrow with dgs for the front yard tomorrow. Hope everyone has time to play with the sketches and challenges. I am finding the board really envigorating. Next month we will have an event in the Cardmaking board to help in celebrating World Cardmaking Day. Already have a group of card makers who have volunteered to host. Fun times ahead!

Love the new look to your living room, elaynef. Too bad your craft room is now torn up. How long will the upheaval last? Don't want y'all to be feeling too bad for me....my scrapbooking room is not part of the construction....just the den. So I am happily scrapping in there, just like the pic I showed you.....confusing situation, I know. Got tons of sketches and challenges printed and waiting for me in my retreat. Here is what happened yesterday. The support rafters were not large enough to support the roof and have to be replaced.

@elaynef, I am sorry you are having to correct an old construction error. When we remodeled I thought I'd go nuts. Our son was doing it after work and on Saturdays, so it took forever. It's always such a great feeling when it's finished. What did you decide to do with your paneling? I smiled when I read that now you are working on YOUR wedding album. Of course you would do everyone else's before your own. You are amazing to do all that work. grammadee and justjac, I wish we could all fly up there and go to your crop together. Wouldn't we have a great time together!! grammadee, I'm sure you will be happy to return home where all your scrap supplies are patiently waiting for you. Have a good flight. I finished a page today which makes #4 for Pokey Peas. I have lots going on next week so will probably only finish one page, but I am enjoying the short bursts of time I have for scrapping. This is my first for Sketchtember. Dad & Me

Good Morning Pokey's! I'm here with my coffee being quiet while DGS sleeps lol. nylene - I'm going to say it everywhere I see it, I love this page! I'm pretty sure I'm going to scraplift it. I just love all the little touches and elements on it! grammadee - I can't wait to see what you were up to while staying with your DGS. When I crop away from home I always need something I left behind to finish the page, so never fully complete anything. I bet you will be glad to be home. @elaynef - While the construction is a bad deal, that's great you can still scrap! I'm looking forward to seeing your work. I think about retreats, but I'm not sure how much I would get done. (as mentioned above) but it's always fun to be in a place with like minded people. I get together with my mom from time to time, but this summer got away from me. I need to plan something with her soon before winter is here. She's an hour away. I hope to have something to share soon lol.

nylene, oh no! you two can't catch a break! I hope your eye clears more quickly than the 8 weeks. I am glad Steve's tolerating the radiation well. Hugs and prayers for you. I have left love for your pages in the gallery, except for the latest which is beautiful. I will get to that soon I hope. @elaynef, I know how disheartening it can be to see such wonderful progress and then have to move everything for work. But the work will be over before you know it and you will have your lovely new living area to enjoy. It seems that it's always more than originally planned. Love that couch and your blue pillows. So nice that you can still scrap too. justlisa7, your wedding pages are just gorgeous. I will leave love in the gallery eventually, but those buttons are perfect. I spent most of my career as a bookkeeper, then owned meal prep business & finished by working at a home for girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking. Wow! you have quite the different background. Bless you for your work with the girls. They uncovered (busted) a ring here in my state (Michigan) recently. I was shocked as I always thought it was more of a girls get taken while on vacation like on islands or central/south America. joyfulnana, that was a great sketch. grammadee, safe travels. You are quite the organizer! I'm so glad you have the time to devote to us here with all you do for your family as well. Don accepted the offer without any changes to it. He's already talked to the bank about a loan. So we'll "keep moving forward" as the motto of Meet the Robinson's goes. (that's a kids movie from a few years ago). I carry stress in my back, so I'm now resigned to having a sore back until we have moved and settled a bit more. We spent Thursday out at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Had some small hikes and lots of scenic views. On the way hope we stopped by a favorite little lighthouse and watched the sun set over the lake. It was a beautiful day. Our duck cage broke that morning. The part where they sleep. It got water logged with all of the rain lately and fell apart. We read the bad reviews of the cage after we had bought it on clearance. So not surprised, just disappointed. We will be harvesting the ducks sooner than anticipated, it would have been today, but it's far too windy for a fire, which is how we boil our water outside. So instead, today we are making grape jelly as a family. I've been hoping to get to the sharing/commenting thread and to making some layouts, but time is not on my side. I have been leaving gallery comments, usually in between stirring things in the kitchen. Multi-tasking at it's finest.

I'm so happy to see all the new faces on the thread! I'm pokier some months more than others, but this month I'm trying hard to keep up with the sketch challenges. grammadee , I finally have an idea for Sketch #1 LisaDV , I'm sorry DS is having a rough time with having to relocate. I'm sure it will all work out. nylene , just hang in there hon. You two deserve a break from all this - it's one thing after another! Waving hello to all of the new and old Pokey Peas Fall is here. Tomorrow is a weed pulling day. ETA, I had a lovely time tonight *sharing* the craft table with DD15. I cleared away a little bit of my mess and made a little bit of room for her, and what do you know? There was enough room for us to *both* use the table at the same time. She didn't need a whole table after all. Hmmm, do you think she'll remember that the next time I ask her to clear her stuff and make some room for me?

Good Monday evening, Pokeys! Even if your scrap room is intact, @elaynef, that looks like an aweful lot of upheaval in your home. Hope it is all resolved and back to normal, soon. Wouldn't it be a blast to all get together and scrap? If we can't do it in person, sharing on line is the next best thing, I guess. Loving your pages, nylene. You are ROCKIN' the challenges this month! Love seeing how you are squeaking in the points with little extras like dots and birdies, yet every page looks very much your own. It will take me a few days to photograph and post my pages, joyfulnana. I DO want to add a few extras to some of them. I could only take so much stuff with me, so a lot of the embellies got left behind. I will have to read over the challenges first to see if there is a way I can grab a few extra points. Wasn't thinking much about the points when I was gluing the pages together. I do not envy you all the changes that are coming down on your little family, LisaDV. I hope you can find a home that gives everyone what they need most. What is it that upsets your ds the most? Does he have friends and activities that he will miss, or is it the freedom of country living? And woodysbetty did you find a new home yet? Glad you had some mom/daughter crafting time, msliz. I make such a mess that it would be difficult for anyone to scrap with me in my little room. I am home. I flew into Edmonton yesterday evening, and after a bit of shopping, some photo printing and a stop at Costco, I drove home this afternoon. Still have photo printing issues with some of our Florida pics, and because its hard to know what has successfully printed and what has not, I have doubles of some of them and none of other whole groups. All that is complicated by my spotty memory, so it gets pretty frustrating. I think I will have to go to the local print shop again: they were able to print a bunch of them last time I went there. Anyway, it's good to be home. Not sure when I will get any scrapping done here. It is supposed to SNOW on Wednesday!!!! Tomorrow I need to get out in the garden and see what veggies I can rescue. There should be some corn ready (it was not quite ripe when I left) Not sure if there are any cukes or pumpkins worth picking. The root veggies can stay where they are until this first snowfall melts, but I will need to be doing something with them soon after that. Also, I need to check the tomatoes in the basement to see if there are enough ripe for a big pan of lasagna.

Good Morning! msliz - That's so cool that your DD likes to craft too. I don't have any daughters, and that was always something I missed, having someone to share my love of crafting with. My oldest DS would get a little put out with me because I would try to snag his girlfriends lol. nylene - how are thing? How is your DH doing? I hope things are settling down for you two. grammadee - SNOW?! I'm sure it won't be much, but then again what do I know I don't live in Canada lol. It has finally cooled off here and we are having beautiful weather. I can finally turn off the A/C and have the place opened up. It's wonderful! It sounds like you have a lot to get done in the garden before that season is over. woodysbetty - I was chatting with one of our dealers last week that said they are located across the street from The Villages in Fl. I thought of you! From some of the things he said, it sounds like a wild time there lol. I hope everything is well with you. I'm so glad I joined in on the challenges They have helped get me out of my rut. And give me ideas to store away for later. It's fun and I love seeing what everyone does with them. As far as the team goes, I'm more pep squad than player I scrap so slow lol. And I do love the slower pace over here in this group. Have a good day everyone!

Happy Tuesday! Hello ladies and welcome to the new ladies. My name is Kelly and I am married and live in California. I love making cards, scrapbooking and art. I look forward to seeing your creations. Oh boy, we have so much activity going on here. Terrific! I am missing all the fun. I gotta go back and read all the chat and catch up. Be back later.

I am finding it hard to get on the computer this week. I can chat or scrap in short bursts, and I have been scrapping while the mojo's here. This morning I took DH to work at 5:45, picked him up a few hours later and took him to see the Dermatologist for a bit more surgery, then to radiation. We will have a short time at home and then off to DGD's Wedding Dinner. I used to have a sign that said, "If mother's place is in the home, why am I always in the car?" I think I need to dust off that old sign. LOL grammadee, I laughed at your comment on another thread about sending DH off to school. I hear you! SNOW? NOOOO. I can't even think of snow or I will be depressed. Summer went by too quickly. I hope you get all your produce picked and prepared before the snow flies. I wanted you to know that the reason I have a lot of wooden birds on my layouts is that they are the only wood pieces (besides some buttons ages ago) I have ever bought. Therefore, I'm adding them here and there. LisaDV, and woodysbetty, I have been thinking about you a lot. I hope that the moving plans and preparations are going well. I don't envy either of you the work that it entails. Hang in there. @elaynef, I love the double pager you did for sketchtember 5. I will leave love on that thread. I'm so glad you got those photos. I'm sure they are truly priceless now. So sorry for your loss. joyfulnana, justlisa7, patin, and msliz, I am enjoying your layouts for the challenges this month. I'm behind on comments, but will catch up eventually. I love seeing what everyone does with the same sketches and challenges. kellyr21, has it cooled off at your home? I am assuming that you do have some Fall weather. By the end of the week we are supposed to have a cold front move in. How is your painting going? I love the card album you did for your DMIL. You choose the most beautiful papers. I hope you and DH are well and enjoying all your redecorating. justjac, how is school going?

Happy Thursday/Friday! This week was uneventful but I did get some of those routine things done. Still in the home décor mode and hope to get more done. It has still been very warm out here but my new a/c has been keeping me cool at night. So happy for that! @elaynef , so glad your scrap room isn't affected by the renovations. Hang in there! Glad to see you are making some progress. I like those aqua blue throw pillows. patin , joyfulnana , justlisa7 - WELCOME! So happy to have you here and wishing you a fun time here with us Pokey Peas. I think I am the "pokeyist" of them all. LOL! I made a few cards recently but mostly I have been doing home décor and art. nylene - Oh Nylene, keep taking care of yourself. You have a lot going on but you are doing a great job handling it all. Hugs! Not sure why the message you left for me on my blog didn't show. Don't worry about. I know you are proud of me. LisaDV - That is a good suggestion you gave about covering my old wall furnace. It is just a tall one with the vent at the top and bottom. I saw these long wooden plaques with inspiring words on it at Burlington a while back. Then I thought of draping a curtain sheer on top and not long enough to touch the pilot. So, I hope to try a few things this weekend. Glad your dh new job is settled. I hope your move goes better than expected. Keep us posted! Waving hi to all you lovely gals and wishing you a nice Friday!

Good Morning! Wanted to drop in and say Yay! It's the weekend! (almost anyway lol) I have a long day today, then off to see my mom and youngest DS tomorrow. They are just an hour away, so it will be a day trip. My oldest is taking the DGS to see Avenger's Live tomorrow as part of his bday gift. DGS is going to lose it! He loves the Avenger's and I can't wait to hear all about it. kellyr21 looking forward to seeing what you create! I swear no one is pokier than me though lol. grammadee did you get the snow you were expecting? It's getting humid again here and I was disappointed to be turning the A/C back on. I love having the place opened up. LisaDV - I hope your DS will adjust well with the move. Oddly enough we moved both our kids at that age (they are 7 years apart) one did great with it the other not as well. I guess it depends on the child, so I hope he does well. Moving is exciting and stressful. And adding a job change in there is hard too. nylene I dislike being on the run for several days. One is enough then I'm ready to hibernate lol. I'm very much a homebody, I always have been. It's not getting better as I age lol. Sounds like there will be wedding layouts in your future! Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Friday morning, Pokeys! The snow is not nearly as bad as forecast. The ground was white yesterday morning, but it was gone by noon. Yard again has a dusting of snow this morning, but not the couple of inches we were warned about. At least yet. I hope to get some pages and cards photographed today. If the sun refuses to shine, I may need to use lamp light. Need to at least get a pic of my sample for tomorrow's sketch challenge. I also need to address the thankyou cards for people who helped with, or brought gifts to, our anniversary party last month. They need to go into the post office today when we go in to meet a friend for supper. Hoping your drive to school has not been too bad, justjac. I have been missing our visits and my trips into Lloyd to shop at the LSS and Michaels . Thought we may have been able to get there today b/c dh had a family event there, but he does not want to venture out on wet/snowy roads, so we are staying home. How much is Hurricane Florence impacting you, msliz? Maybe some of you can't fathom snow in the forecast, but I can't imagine the onslaught of 40 inches of rain in one day!!! And the winds! Stay safe! How are your moving plans going, LisaDV? Hoping that ds will be more comfortable with it if he can get back to the farm from time to time. I have been loving all your pages this month, nylene, even though you are so busy driving your dh to work and to his appointments. Glad the sketches are helping you come up with ideas, and that you have enough time to put them together. How are your own eyes doing? Please look after yourself! Happy that your redecorating plans are going the way you like, kellyr21, and that you enjoy the process. Decorating is a lost cause for me: most of the time this house just looks like a colossal MESS! Is that a decorating style? Sounds like you have a busy Nana weekend ahead of you, joyfulnana. Those are the best kind! Especially if you can retreat to your own home with the photos to scrap them afterward! Waving hello to everyone else, and wishing you a good weekend.

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been a lurker this month. I tread everyone’s news on my phone, but somehow typing a long reply seems easier on my laptop. But here I am on my phone anyway. Welcome joyfulnana, patin, and justlisa7. I’m Jacqueline, a 43 year old wife and teacher. We don’t have kids, but I have two beautiful nieces who feature pretty prominently in my scrapbooks. I live a little over an hour away from grammadee in Canada. It has been snowing off and on for days, but it has melted nearly immediately. I started scrapbooking in 2001. I’m actually taking part in a public speaking event who’s theme is Craft. I’m going to be talking about scrapbooking for about 6 minutes on Thursday. grammadee I have missed seeing you, too! @woodybetty and LisaDV good luck with the moves. I was so happy when we got married that DH wanted to move into my house instead of me into his. No moving! nylene thanks for asking about school. The first month is pretty crazy. Class is full, but I've still had a dozen people apply. I wish we could crop together, too. It would be so fun. I’ve got to go. I’m accompanying DH to a model train show in the big city, and we have arrived! I will add more later. Waving to @elaynef and kellyr21 and everyone else.

A quick share of 4 pages so I can claim a Pokey Peas point today. Have completed my August and September calendar pages. aUGUST 19 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr September 19 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here are a couple of my Disney Goofy pages completed so far: Goofy friends by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Still have a ton of Disney pages to share. I managed to photograph a bunch of pages yesterday and one today, but it is still really dark and gloomy, so I think I will wait on that. Have been taking a break from Disney pages for a bit. Am feeling inspired by all the fall colours in the Gallery and the sharing thread. Have pulled down my big FALL tub, and have some more back to school and fall photos to scrap, so that may be my next project. Before that happens, though, I think my scrap room mess may have reached critical mass where things are falling off of surfaces, and other things are cowering under piles of paper and supplies and tools. So I think I will, sadly, have to restore a bit of order in here. If you don't hear from me, I am buried under an avalanche of scrappy supplies...

grammadee , wonderful pages. Love the sunglasses on the August title. How did the scarecrow making go with dgs? Did he love it? Is the garden all taken apart? I can believe snow, I just don't want it in September. We did get it on Halloween a couple of years ago. Just, no! But like you say, I will take that over 40" of rain in one day and high winds. justjac , I hope the crazy from back to school calms down soon. A model train show sounds like fun. nylene and patin , I hope you are living it up at your weddings this weekend. kellyr21 , my recommendations for covering the heater comes from years and years moving to new locations and lots and lots of apartments. Uneventful weeks are good weeks in my book. msliz , are you still sharing your workspace? Or did you get pushed out? joyfulnana , I hope you had a wonderful visit yesterday. What's on the plan for the rest of the weekend? woodysbetty , how are you? Sending lots of love your way with all the goodbyes you've had to say recently. Waving hi to @elaynef and justlisa7 . I've had so much anxiety over the move that no crafting has been getting done. Well that and I'm taking the lead on dd's school again. She has been trying to do it her self the last few years and she was so sick that she couldn't stay on track. So now, I read all the assignments outloud again. I much prefer it, as I then don't have to go before or after and read it so I know what she read. It's also lots of extra snuggle time, which is always good. Also we seem to have appointment after appointment scheduled this month so that we can get it all taken care of before moving. Yesterday the four of us sat down and went through all of the houses I had saved. I had also made an excel spreadsheet of them to compare cost, bed/bath, SF, estimated taxes, and important to me criteria like not being able to really see your neighbors house (privacy fence/hedges), fireplace, rec/family room that is entertainment worthy, etc. DH added a cost per square foot column. We narrowed down to 7 must see houses and have another 13 in case those sell or don't hit the mark. Some of my more cost conscience choices already went contingent or sold since the beginning of the month. However, just having that accomplished has set my mind at ease and I completed 3 layouts today, although I really should have been doing other things. Unfortunately, I've really fallen down on the commenting in thread and in flickr. I don't think it will happen until next weekend. I still have a batch of tomatoes to pick and can which I hope to get to this week in between school and appointments. Plus I'm hoping to get a realtor lined up to show us houses on Thursday. We'll go stay with MIL since she is close to that area. But the youth deer hunt is Saturday/Sunday, and we have to be back for that. This also means the rest of the family will be out of my hair during the day, so I should get some crafty time. Oh, and thanks for all of the concern and well wishes for DS to feel better about the move. He is starting to come to terms with it. One of my favorite houses is on the St. Joseph River. He loves the idea of a house on the river. Not that we'll end up with one, but we will be looking at 2. You may just get some likes for a while instead of responses. Forgive me. Hugs.

Oh LisaDV you are making me miss the "Michiana" area with that mention of the St Joseph river. There is a dog park a few minutes from the office I worked in in Mishawaka, that was right on that river. I used to spend my lunch hour there, soaking up the peace. I really enjoyed living in South Bend and always said Lake Michigan was my favorite thing about Indiana lol. The other thing I miss about living in Indiana and i Utah, is the lake effect snowstorms. I love big storms, and we haven't had more than 3 inches in a winter yet since I've moved back to KC. Well Avengers Live was a success! DS said the little one was enthralled the whole time and they had seats pretty close to the stage so that was cool too. But he didn't get any pictures for me. Boo. It was good to see my youngest DS and my mom for a bit. Today I would love to spend the whole day scrapping, but I should probably clean carpets and finish laundry lol. Maybe I will work it all in. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Good morning, Pokeys.
A sad day out here at the farm. We will have to take our oldest dog to the vet today and have her put to rest. We are not sure of her age b/c she was brought here by our ds in 2004 after his bil could not keep her in their new appartment, but I think she is at least 15 years old.
She had been slipping this summer, having difficulty getting around, but for the most part happy and content. We decided earlier in the summer that we would take her to the vet to have her put to rest before winter came. She is an outdoor dog and the winters here are cold. While I was gone earlier in the month dh thought he may need to do it then, but she rallied and was back to her old happy self the next day. But this cold wet weather has been really hard on her. Still she has been coping, eating, drinking, sleeping a lot, but basically okay.
This morning, she has been vomiting and really uncomfortable. I called the vet when they opened, and they told me we could bring her in this afternoon. Dh was not quite ready to do this, and was upset when he got home from town and I told him I had called the vet. But after he went to check on her, he realized that it is indeed time. He is out with the tractor now, digging a grave so that we can bring her back and bury her near our garden, where the other farm dogs have been lovingly placed at the end of their days.

grammadee I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Big hugs to you and Al. LisaDV good luck house hunting. The train show was interesting. There were some really elaborate displays. Afterwards we hit a couple of stores including IKEA. We got a small kitchen table with two drop leaves for me to use if I want to be crafty in the living room. It is only 12” wide with the leaves fown and can be slid against the wall if we have company. By the time we got home my hip was very sore. Thankfully it’s feeling better today. Still, I’m taking a week off from exercise.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog, grammadee. Hugs to you and your husband. It's hard to lose our four-footed friends. LisaDV, your house hunting sounds so organized. I hope you find the perfect place and things go through smoothly with the transaction. justjac and grammadee, I can't imagine having snow already. We'd love to get some moisture to put out the fires we have burning here in our county. patin, how was your wedding? Ours was nice. I will have to wait for the professional photos. The sun was setting and shining into the area and all I got on my camera was lights and shadows. I hope the photographer got some good ones. She married a redhead so that adds to our redhead total of grandchildren. LOL joyfulnana, I wish I could ship you our lake effect snow. Winter is not my favorite time of year. I like a little snow, but it gets old fast. @elaynef, I see you have been scrapping even though you are in reconstruction mode. Hope it is going well and is on schedule. You will have such a beautiful place when it's all finished. kellyr21, I am glad to know that you have a new air conditioner. Keep cool. Do you have fires near you? The big one here is just over the hill from our DD's home. They aren't in danger, but the smoke is making everyone sick. msliz, I am enjoying your scrap pages. I am taking notes of ideas for my few Disney pages. Love the color of the Mickey head behind your New Orleans page. Very classy indeed. Waving hello to justlisa7 and woodysbetty. I am sure you are both busy. I drove to SLC today to have lunch with my sisters. It was good to get together and have some good laughs. I'm glad they live close enough that we can do this a few times a year. It's been a long day so I am turning in early. Goodnight, all.

Life has been crazy busy the last couple of weeks. My mother-in-law had a massive stroke and passed away. It was unexpected and so sad. We were in NY for the funeral (we live in a Florida) and got back Monday night. Been hard on my husband. She was a lovely lady and so involved in her community and church. Loved by many.
My daughter had her baby this evening. The baby (a boy - Ryder James), is having a little trouble and in the NICU but praying it’s a very short stay in it because he is already doing better. . Third boy and third c-section and she got her tubes tied. She is doing well. Ryder is just so beautiful and precious! So loved already. Once they are out of the hospital she will be staying with us for the first week so we can help. Her husband works and goes to school - so we will all help out.
Got my grandsons to bed late as we were all at the hospital and they are staying will us. I have to get them ready for school in the morning. Haven’t done that in years. 😉 PreK and Kindergarten. They are wonderful little boys and so excited for a baby brother!
Hope you are all doing well and will hopefully find some time to catch up on the boards, admire layouts and eventually (end of next week probably) - scrapbook again!
Take care!

justlisa7- You have had a very emotional week, with the highest of highs( congrats on Baby Ryder) & the lowest of lows- so sorry for the loss of your dear MIL. Thank you for letting us know. grammadee- It sounds like your dog was truly loved by you & your DH. Hugs to you. I think its lovely that you bury them near your garden on your farm. They probably spent hours there keeping you company & will continue. nylene- our DGD's wedding was beautiful. I've included a couple of pics. Your family majors in redheads. Ours majors in twins & yes my DGD who is a fraternal twin married an identical twin. lisa- I love your positive outlook on house hunting. I'll pray you get a home by the river. justjac & grammadee- I would be so disheartened by snow. September is glorious here & I think it has been warmer here this Sept. Than it has been most of the summer. justjac- is your DH a railroader? My DH was, as was his Dad & both of his grandfathers & his grandmother. I love hearing about the old rail lines. @elaynf- good luck on all the home repairs. I hope they go quickly & are less $$ than you have been quoted. joyfulnana- it sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying your grand. Isn't it fun?

grammadee I'm so sorry about your dog, they are family and it's so hard to see them go! And I love what you are doing with the titles on your calendar! They are spectacular! LisaDV I feel you on the commenting. I have gotten very far behind too. I hope you find the house of your dreams soon (and post pics ) justlisa7 I'm so sorry about your MIL and that is was so unexpected. A few of us here seem to be having a tough time of it. Hugs to you! And congrats on the new little one!! nylene I will gladly take your lake effect snow. Today please! It's still in the mid 90's here and I'm so ready for it to cool off! That's supposed to happen tomorrow, I hope so! justjac your IKEA table sounds like something I would like. I keep trying to find the perfect thing that would let me scrap in the living room without taking up too much room. I haven't found it yet. Of course, I also tell myself I want to simplify my stash so it would be a little more portable from room to room. While I shop every sale and add to it patin beautiful pictures of the wedding and your DGD is a beautiful bride!! DGS is 4 today and I can't even believe how fast they grow!

Good Thursday evening! Just a little more than a week left in September. Where is the time going? Thinking about you and your family, LisaDV in your house hunting this weekend. I noticed you said-you would be staying with in-laws during your search. Will you be moving closer to family? Such a roller coaster you have been on justlisa7 . So sad that your joy at Ryder's arrival is tinged with the grief about your MIL. ((((Hugs))))) to you and your husband in your time of loss. Sounds like you will have your hands full for awhile though. Nothing like little ones to help us focus on the good things in life. Those wedding photos are gorgeous, patin . You will have a blast scrapping them! And so cute that your dgs is going to be scrapping right along with you, even if he is half a country away. Glad you got to spend time with family at the wedding and meeting up with your sisters, nylene . And you have been a scrapping machine! Have loved seeing all your pages, meeting the sketches and adding in the little details for points. Looks like you are having fun. Good to hear you are doing the little things that bring you joy in all of the stress right now. Hope you get some awesome photographers' photos of the wedding, or that some of the other guests have some they can share. We have been busy harvesting our garden in the little break we have had between weather systems. My focus this week has been on carrots. Next week the potatoes will have to come out of the ground, but there is supposed to be more rain and maybe some snow this weekend to get through first. Thank you for your kind words about the loss of our dog. We are missing her. And our other dog is very lonely. We have been investigating dog rescue sites, and dh has already fallen in love with one that is up for adoption. In the photos and videos, she seems very much like Micca, even has a little hop in her step. We have put in an application to them this afternoon. Have not heard back except to acknowledge they have received it. If they accept our application, dh will have to reconstruct the kennel he had taken down last year and decided we did not need any more. The posts are there, and at one point he had planned to put in chain link panels, but if we need a fence in a hurry, he may have to string the old kennel page wire around the new posts. Tomorrow I have some banking appointments, so heading into the small city where justjac lives. I will have plenty of time after my apppointments to print some photos at WalMart and to stop in at Michaels' and to the LSS. Will cap it all off with supper with justjac . Looking forward to it. Waving hello to everyone else. Have really enjoyed seeing your takes on the sketches.
