What specific theme do you most enjoy scrapping (e.g. birthdays, vacations, pets, football, school) & why?
Do you use themed supplies? If so, which types/brands are your favorites? If not, what is your style?

I definitely do more themed pages than not. That is just what I seem to take pictures of. Vacations (usually the beach) and Christmas are probably my favorites. I think it's a combo of having a multitude of papers & embellishments to work with and that those photos tend to bring the happiest times to mind. Although, I do love scrapping the kids' sports & activities. Yes, I definitely used themed supplies. My favorite lines change, so it's hard to pick one. My Mind's Eye comes to mind because when my kids were little the Frame Ups were really cute. And last week at the expo, I picked up quite a few of their new Christmas embellishments & 6x6 pads.

I seem to do a lot of vacation and outdoors pics. I don't have theme for those. However, if I'm doing an album for a specific vacation then I'll stick to just one Line of paper for all the layouts. I do own theme products, just not much and then I forget to use it lol. I've been on a Theresa Collins and MME kick. Lately.

Vacation and my immediate family (DH and our pup).
I hardly ever scrap themey. I do use travel embellishments, but that's about as far as I go. My paper, with the exception of a couple of map-type papers, are hardly ever themey. It's just not my style.

I love to use holiday theme papers for crafts and decor, that would be my fav theme use.
I do use "holiday" theme papers for holiday LO's. For LO's, I like map papers to include in vacation travel LO's, but not much else.
I will use some accents and embellishments that are theme related.
I do use some woodland papers when I am scrapping our ranch and work stuff.
I try to keep most of my themed stuff to the accents. But if the paper works for my LO, I will use it, theme or not. So many theme papers I find don't match my photos.
But if I want to scrap a LO quickly, I will go with some themed papers if they work with my photos.

I don't do too many themey layouts. More just general day pictures. The exception would be Disney trips...but even then I don't use a lot of theme papers.

I don't do "theme" either although I definitely scrapbook birthday, Halloween etc. But I tend to scrapbook the everyday as well.

I definitely scrap themes, it just makes it easier for me. My biggest ones are Christmas, Halloween, Disney, tropical and lake/summer. As for brands, I love Doodlebug, Simple Stories and Bella Blvd and seek them out but will buy anything cute that fits with the photos I know I have waiting to scrap.

I don't buy any themed supplies except for summer themes. I especially like Simple Stories summer collections. Everything else I prefer to be more neutral. I used to buy kid themed stuff when my kids were smaller but that's about it.

Thank you for your responses: I enjoy reading about your varied approaches & styles for creating layouts! Although I enjoy scrapping school & sports pages, I rarely use theme-specific supplies unless small repetitive patterned papers, such as Bella Blvd Making the Team, or punched/diecut/stamped shapes/borders, such as EK Success Sports Edger. Please feel free to add your favorite themes to scrap!

Halloween and Disney and Halloween at Disney. I use a lot of themed supplies for Halloween - stickers, paper, ribbon, borders, chipboard in Halloween shapes, buttons, tags, pretty much anything halloweenie! Not as many for Disney, I have a lot of Disney themed items but I usually just stick to small themed touches for those pages.

I tend to follow the same line of thinking as Berta147. except for the woodland papers for the ranch and work. There I tend to like old vintage feel farm paper collections or recipe collections for our homestead. But I've only looked at them and haven't actually worked on any of those layouts yet.
I do more of the everyday moments, although I've promised myself to do more events (birthday's, holidays, and vacations) in the coming year.

I enjoy doing travel pages and would sometimes use travel collections by studio calico but often would just use non-themed products

My favorite theme is definitely Disney! I do a mix of themed and just standard layouts but about Disney. I love reliving those memories through my scrapbooking.

Halloween! No specific brand I like. Depends on the costume. I have WAY too much so I have banned myself from buying any. I do mostly themed pages and events are what I scrap most. I don't like to over think a page. If it was a soccer game, find a stamp, ribbon, or etc.. that fits. Use black and white and maybe a touch of green. I don't strive for perfection. I find the basic aspects of cutting and pasting in scrapping fun.

Vacation/beach pictures. Hands down my favorite. We go somewhere tropical every year and I have half of the book done before we leave. They make me smile.

I try to scrap theme almost exclusively. My favorite pics were always sports because I had so much product to choose from.
I am struggling to finish a bunch of baby/toddler pics because even though I have 3 bins of baby/toddler stuff, I have used most of the good stuff or don't have pics to go with what I have. I mean, I could finish them eventually with what I have, but I keep running out of motivation. I have though, scrapped at least 6 fat 8.5x11 baby albums so I am a little burned out.

I do primarily theme-y layouts, very few everyday layouts (how many times can I scrap the backend of those cars in front of me on the interstate on the way to and from work?) My top 3 are probably vacation, school, and holidays (Christmas, Halloween, Easter). Don't really have a fav . I use lots of themed supplies, usually from my favorite manufacturers like Crate, October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Bo Bunny, and MME.

I love scrapping school stuff!
I absolutely love when I can get themed school embellishments, but most I pass up because they are ridiculously priced.

I do a mix of themes and everyday pages, but doing my vacation and Christmas pictures are my favorite. For my vacation, the paper and embellishments that I use totally depends on the trip. For a beach trip I definitely incorporate lots of blues, yellows and "sand" colored items. This year we did some National Parks so I used more earthy colors, and navy, yellow and reddish/orange to compliment the color of the sandstone in Zion and the Grand Canyon.

If you would consider "Boy" as a theme, that's definitely at the top of my list! I probably say that because I so desperately love boy-themed collections-I guess I'm looking at it backwards, but I definitely have more boy-theme collections than anything else. While I use those boy collections for other themes as well, such as Disney, birthdays and school, I genuinely love scrapping everyday boy layouts, not just because I love my boys, but because the boy collections are just awesome! My second favorite theme would be Disney. I rarely use any official Disney themed product (or even the black/red/yellow combo, except for SS Say Cheese), I prefer to match the paper to the photos and there actually aren't a lot of spots in Disney that are black/red/yellow (and I find my photos just don't match any of the themed Disney stuff well). I do use my boy stuff a lot And for example when we're there around Halloween, I will use Halloween theme stuff on Disney layouts. Third, in a similar vein, actually depends on what types of paper I have that I'm in love with. If I have awesome themed collections, then I'm totally in love with scrapping that theme. I never liked scrapping Christmas until I got a fantastic line last year, then another, and now I can't get enough of scrapping Christmas. I loved scrapping beach pics for years, but this year I just didn't have any great beach collections and it was a lot harder and not as fun. I pretty much exclusively buy collections-it's just how I scrap. My favorites are Simple Stories and Echo Park, with Carta Bella edging it's way up.

The beach is my favorite theme to scrap. I love the colors and all the fun embellishments. I scrap it a lot in the winter as a little weather pick me up. I hate scrapping christmas. Makes me crazy. I don't even like buying "the stuff".

Birthdays! For some reason, I just love scrapbooking layouts of my grandsons' birthday parties more than anything else. Maybe it's the cute decorations, or that they have so much fun opening gifts. Or, maybe it's all the cute birthday-themed paper I keep collecting!

Christmas. I do lots of Christmas pages for both myself and my mom. I also do Journal Your Christmas each year. Can't get enough Christmas from November through January.
I do vacation albums that are sometimes themey and sometimes not. Depends on the place.

I do layouts every year on my kids birthday. What they like to eat, read, play, friends, trends. It is my favorite layouts to do.
I also like doing vacations - good memories captured forever.

Thanks for your responses. It's interesting how many of you enjoy scrapping events - vacations, holidays, birthdays, etc. - with few mentioning everyday moments.
Please feel free to add your favorite themes to scrap!
