Hi! My first post on the new site!
Just like a lot of people, I have bought so many paper trimmers in search of one that actually cuts straight and is true to size. I had a chance to briefly try out a Cutterpillar Pro this weekend. It seemed great and really sliced through chipboard. I do wish that the measurements went down to 1/8".
So, who has one and what is your opinion of it? Thanks!!

I have one and love it! The pros: cuts great, very accurate, and my over-40 eyes love the lighted cutting edge. Cons: takes up a lot of desk space; not so portable for crops. All in all, I love mine, but I will say I'm really struggling with the amount of space it takes up because I have precious little counter surface in my room.
Did you know that they are currently manufacturing a new, portable version? They did a kickstarter campaign in the Spring to raise funds and are projecting it to be ready by the end of the year (I think that was the last update, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong). If space & portability are important to you, you might want to wait for that new model.

I LOVE it. I really love the lighted cutting edge and how well it cuts. I store it underneath one of my storage units so it's easy to slide in and out to use and then put away. I chipped in during the kickstarter campaign and will be getting the new portable one too. I think I have owned every trimmer out there, and this by far is my favorite!

I bought the cutterpillar pro (mini size) which is supposed to start shipping this month. I believe you can pre-order it if you visit their website.

I love mine. It is quite large though. Luckily, I was able to give it a dedicated spot. It would be a pain if I had a smaller space or needed portability.

This is definitely going on my Christmas wish list. Hopefully they'll be shipping in time for Christmas!

I've been thinking about buying one of these. Since I don't go to crops I don't really need the portable model. They usually have a booth at Scrapbook Expo so there's a chance they'll be in Ontario CA at the upcoming show. My friend has one and she loves it.

I also have ordered the cutter pillar crop! This is the smaller version. It looks fantastic! It's not ready to ship but I'm super excited. Am tired of buying terrible paper trimmers that have to be replaced

I would love one, but the size is off putting. I am constantly grabbing.my trimmer for a cut, then tucking it off to th side. It's part of my scrap process. So I'll be keeping an eye out for the portable one!

I am so excited to receive my order! It is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. I have a feeling that I will be ordering the small one in the future. Maybe it will be a Merry Christmas To Me present!

I would love to hear your opinion on it when it arrives. I've been on the fence for a year now. I really want to get it!

I ordered mine via their Kickstarter campaign and I'm used to many delays with Kickstarter things I've purchased, so this is totally normal. I don't know of a single company that is able to meet their deadline, especially when dealing with production in China.

I splurged on the Pro when they had that $65 promo, and I love it. I is huge, but it fits on top of my Xerox machine, so no footprint is used that wasn't hogged up already. I really wanted a heavy-duty cutter for chipboard, since I was going through Fiskars blades at a ridiculous rate while making mini albums. I still keep the little grey-and-orange Fiskars trimmer under my worktable in easy reach for paper.

I have the pro as well and love it - it cuts through basically anything. My only dislikes are size (which is my own fault - I knew I didn't have enough room for it when I bought it!), and the lines - if I can even explain it - the grid is in 1/2 in increments - I wish there were smaller increments If I was in the market for a portable one, I would DEFINITELY buy their new one

IT'S HERE!! Granted, I have only been using it for less than an hour but, WOW! I love it!! I can't believe how easily it cuts everything I have tried on it. And it cuts S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T!!! I am definitely going to get the portable one whenever it is available to those of us who didn't pre-order.

Part of the delay with the kickstarter portable version is that they are adding metric measures to the same unit and have had some issue with the design engineers in getting that just right. I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

I have a question regarding the stick-on ruler strip that came with it. Where are you placing it on your cutter? TIA.
