Looking at my scrapbooks hopefully will bring back lots of happy memories of the dgk's growing up, and my interactions with them. What they will NOT help me remember are...
***where my scissors are... Didn't I just have them in my hand???
***where did I put all those cool Tim Holtz metal words? One would be perfect for this page, but...
***why did I decide to do this complicated layered mixed media page that requires all this time to dry? Have I just MET me??? I have no patience, and AttentiontoDetail is NOT my middle name...

aw, poor grammadee... I know exactly what you mean. I wish I had written down more when my kids were young! Why can't I remember those cute little things they said? And where is the ruler I just had five minutes ago???

{at the LSS this morning} - oh, look at these adorable thickers and enamel dots and Christmas lines! Wait, did I buy them last time? Wait, is this the same Christmas line I picked up 2 weeks ago???
I have even duplicated ink colours in my sordid past...

WHERE O WHERE is my six hole punch?! I'm trying really hard to finish up December Daily 2017 but with no hole punch in sight I'm being held back. Grrrrrr, so tempted to order another one but that seems crazy!

I can SO relate (except to the mixed media because I know me well enough to not even go there)
I wish I had a better memory for journalling...and a better ability to kept track of details (both for layouts AND supplies)

I have even duplicated ink colours in my sordid past... THIS!! Except I'm not lucky enough to have a LSS anymore. I was organizing stamps (I use that term lightly), and found a duplicate Ali Edwards stamp. Guess I know that I really loved it, but dang that's what $15 I could have spent on something else

I have even duplicated ink colours in my sordid past... I am getting to go to the LSS and Michaels tomorrow. Should I line up everything I own and snap photos, first? Nah.... that would take DAYS, anyway. But I WILL peek into the bag of goodies I picked up at a store in Edmonton when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Now, where is that bag?

You're all mad
I seem to have forgotten my card-making skills I was flipping through my saved designs and with my switch to Photoshop from PaintShop Pro quite a few of them need to be redone. What have I been doing in Photoshop for the past 9 months??? And to top it all because I've not used my Cameo since the roof leak I've lost the "knack"

I couldn't remember if I had posted in this thread or not! Apparently not but now I can't remember what I was going to say anyway. 😁

You know that great idea I had for a card while I was far away from my crafty room? In my head, I picked out the stamps and dies and sentiments and embellishments. It was amazing.
Now that I'm back home, what was it?

Why can’t I remember the names of these friends in my old pictures taken at a church retreat? And where are those cute puffy stickers I bought last week? Did I put them with the paper they matched? Or in with my miscellaneous embellishments box? Did I even put them away?

Changing the bed to do laundry: Why is there a letter E sticker on my bed sheet?
Okay, easy answer: it must have been stuck to my foot when I went to bed sometime this week.
The big question is: WHAT PROJECT DID THAT LETTER COME FROM???

Why is there a letter E sticker on my bed sheet? Back when I used photo squares with the blue backs, I found them everywhere! Cue the horror music as I fold down the sheet and see one stuck to my pillow case. Cue the same music when a blue back is now waving like a flag stuck to the dog's tail. They were everywhere! My scrapbooks will not help me find the photo I put adhesive on and then lost while sitting in the same spot, only to find it months later after reprinting it. As I was moving pages around, there it was, stuck to the back of a layout.

It took 2 hrs to decide on white cardstock for the background, at least 2 hours to finalize the placement of the page elements, approximately 2 hours to think of the perfect one word title, 2 more hours to chose the size/font/words for the journaling/title, & so on. UGH!

I thought I had printed these pictures already...where did I put them? or did I only mean to print them? Me! I do the very same thing. Thank goodness at the very least, when I upload from my phone to Shutterfly there's an S on the ones I've already uploaded. Or...I would have everything uploaded two times or more.

I've ordered photos 5 times this week alone because I keep finding photos that I haven't printed (or if I have, I can't find...) and I have another order in progress, sigh. There has to be a better process...

And in every corner of every room of the house, and nestled up next to baseboard in every room (so I have to get down on hands and knees with the vacuum hose to get them). I still use them, though - they just work for me!

A few weeks ago I completed a layout on a photo I found in one of my little black boxes (you know the ones...from big box stores...they are often on sale). I was so happy to document that fun day with friends. I happened to look through another scrapbook while tidying up my room a bit and found... I HAD ALREADY SCRAPPED THAT EXACT SAME PHOTO. This may not be that bad except that I have done this so many times. I guess I just love those photos. A lot.
