I'm starting to see the appeal of DIY kits. While I'd like to subscribe to a kit club, I'd much rather use my own stash. I spend so much time being indecisive and looking for the right supplies and it drives me crazy. For a long time I've been thinking kits wouldn't work for me. My thought was that I'd have something set aside in a kit and would forget about it when I could be using it if it wasn't in a kit. But the wasted time is so annoying so I'm going to give it a try and see if it works for me. Which YouTubers do you like for DIY kits and why? I'm hoping to get some inspiration and get to work this afternoon putting some kits together.

Hannah Lemieux from crafty maven channel does a series called For Love of Homemade kits.
Grace Tolman does some really good kits using her stash. She isnone that will use anything no matter if its current or in her stash for years. She even uses papers that she doesnt like anymore if the back is just white as her base pages.

I like Nicole911's videos of prepping for Calvinball. She makes cute kits!

check out mandy makes studio. she hasn't uploaded anything in awhile but look for videos with "DIY stash kit" in the title. she takes a hip kit and recreates it from her stash. i also really like julia gulley. she makes huge kits out of old stash, using the counterfeit kit challenge blog for inspiration. i've really gotten more into using old stuff by watching her videos. there's also nicmackin. look for her kit love playlist. she mostly uses collections though, not random stash. if you just do a search on DIY kit or stash kit you should find plenty

She used to share so many helpful tips and step by step photos of kit making on another forum and she left and turned off all the photo links. So glad to see she is still sharing her kit process somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to look into some of these. I love the idea of making a copycats, especially copycat embellishments.
