Here is my take on it with a couple of back to school pic's my ddil sent me. I was inspired by those big scallops and the stars and the doodling, and immediately thought of Sassafras Lass. And what do you know? I still had some tucked away in a drawer. Totally claiming the 5 points for this, even though I did not do the doodling! grammadee i love it! all that sass goodness  i really love how you added the clip and just a smidge of school-themed product. your girlies are going to be heart-breakers! and as a little side note, the title alpha i used in my example is from sassafras

Linda your thanksgiving page has more pattern than I'm used to seeing from you (maybe that's why it feels busy to you?) but it's simply lovely. I really like how the colours in the text print and the stripe pick up the colours in her dress so perfectly. I love how you've layered the circles on your second page to create the scalloped border and that floral is gorgeous. I've left praise in the gallery for all the other pages.

Linda I love your first page; that thanksgiving themed paper is just so perfect and really cute! I like how you used circles for the scallop element, very creative! The second page is gorgeous those colors are so pretty and make a great backdrop for your photo! christinec68 I love the fun bright colors on your page and how you took the scallops of the sketch to another level!

The second photo was originally a comparison photo of him on his first day of high school but then I changed it to his last day of primary school. The papers are from the "Orange Crush" kit by Lynn Grieveson and elements from the "School Is Fun" kit by Word Art World.  |

I can not stand this LO. I lost the plot with it, it is possible to do a bad LO with Highline! I'm making it small so nobody can see it properly ha!  I did get 29 points for it though (only reason I'm posting it is to get the points added), 1 for a LO, 1 for sharing, 5 for LO + twist, #3, #4, #7, #9, #12 + BONUS, #15, #17, #19, #21, #22, #31, #33, #37, #40 + BONUS, #42, #44 and Sept Stash Challenge - handwriting. So, I was trying to figure out what was annoying me so much about this LO and I think I fixed it.... I like it much better now anyway. It's not very sketch like I know, I lost my way!!!!  |

Here's mine for #25. I doodles dots and dashes on one of the mats for the twist. Thanks for the challenge stinkerbelle !  stinkerbelle , I'm loving your embellishments, especially the three little wooden people! AussieMeg , great first and last layout - I love the story about him trying on his uniform so many times before school began grammadee , the big red scalloped edge and the little blue one stand out so nicely against all the neutrals. Nice! christinec68 , I love the bold green with the red door, and all the great layers of stuff! Linda , I followed your example, and I made my scalloped edge out of circles too. Thanks! kiwigirl, I can't decide which one I prefer. I love them both! stinkerbelle , that torn edge is perfect for separating the peach from the pink. I love that look! I love the doodling on yours too. It looks so free |

AussieMeg love your take on the sketch! The comparison idea is perfect, love the photos and colors! kiwigirl I think both of your LOs are fantastic, but if you’re happier with the second, that’s all that counts, eh? Love the word strips and stars cluster, mixed font title, very nice doodling and that nuvo border, all just popping off that black. Love it! msliz your page is awesome! Love the simple title and great little cluster at the bottom!

My last sketch!!! I rotated the sketch, so that the title/journaling strip of pp is under the photo, and I changed the 2 photos to 1 5x7. And I used fussy cut flowers instead of the scalloped border and embellies.  layout feeling all the feels by kirstendrew, on Flickr |
