You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

So I finally sat and watched Vicki's video. I honestly had no idea exactly what this new technique was. Now that I kind of get it I have a question....can you use your regular alcohol inks as long as you use Yubo paper? I looked at alcohol inks online and mine (a few years old) look different. I don't know if that is because there is new labeling or because there is a new product.
This is something I can totally get down with. I can't wait to get my kit and play.

Just got my SSS kit today!
Any alcohol inks should be the same, just new colors and labeling. I already have some, and played with them a bit in a TH online class. They’re so fun. Enjoy!

I have some deep in my stash. I found a few but I know I have more somewhere. I can't wait to play; if you got your kit already maybe mine will show up soon too.

I have a ton of alcohol inks from way back when Jennifer McGuire did the "thinking inking" videos. I really didn't think the alcohol lift ink was something I wanted but since seeing it in use, of course I have changed my mind. Alcohol lift ink has now been added to my cart!

I have the alcohol inks that were originally released back before 2010 and I got the lift ink and yupo paper worked great. The key is yupo paper. I went to my local art store and bought yupo. I didn't buy the tim Holtz branded. It's really fun It did take awhile for the ink to dry though. Also bloting and polishing takes a couple tries to get it figured out like how fast to do it . Very detailed stamps don't leave behind a great impression. But they stamp off really well. You can use regular paper to stamp off on. I had left over glossy paper from back in the day and used that.

I think the older inks are fine and the same.
My kit didn’t ship for a week. I think total time was a week and a half. That flower stamp is bigger than I expected. I really like the stacked sentiments in the set. Nice font and nice size. Great kit I think.

Can you just use glossy cardstock instead of Yupo paper? I would think that any glossy/non-porous surface would work. I'll be trying mine out soon on glossy cardstock that I've had for years.
