How awesome you have taught yourself! justjac - hope you had a very happy thanksgiving! nylene - hope things are going well with your husbands treatment and your eye is going to be okay! Hugs!! joyfulnana - I love your name! Babysitting 3 is fun so far but my husband is always there and we love playing with the grandchildren. We spend a lot of time in the pool. Movie and no bedtime Friday nights sounds fun! I am always done too before they wind down. Haha LisaDV - hoping the moving is going well for you all! msliz - hope you are doing well and hoping you get to scrapbook soon! knutschen - nice to “meet” you and so sorry you lost your cat. We just lost our 17 year old cocker spaniel, Sophie Marie, this past April. It still hurts. A lot. Glad you have two new kitties to love and your sweet pug too! grammadee - saying hello to you! Thanks for organizing our card swap! GrandBaby is doing good. Has had some more struggles but getting better. I just adore him!! I was on a field trip with my oldest grandson all day Tuesday and we had a good time. Love that kid! We are super close. Life is so busy here and hoping and praying it settles down. If anyone is on instagram - my name is justlisa7 there too. Would love to follow some of you and you me.

This link is to studios that offer Pranakriya yoga, there are 3 in Florida but I'm not sure exactly where they are,( still not very adept at FLA. geography!!) but they might be close enough for you. pranakriya.com/links/#. Nice to know I will have a Pea nearby!!

Hi @knutchen it's nice to "meet" you lol. I am so sorry about your cat. It hurts so much to lose a pet. But your kittens sound adorable! They call me the crazy cat lady at work, even though I have no pets, because I'm single and once said out loud I was thinking of getting a kitten lol. I haven't, my son is staying here for awhile and he is allergic, but maybe once he's gone I will. justlisa7 I hope you get to scrap this weekend. I am planning to, and I hope my plans work out. Tomorrow is for sure. I have DGS Saturday night so that will for sure be a no go lol. Are you anywhere near hurricane Michael? I remember when they first started calling things like this "weather events" and thought it was ridiculous, storms are storms, but not anymore. The weather is truly more of an event these days. grammadee you have been so busy and productive! I don't know how you do it, but I wish I had your secret! I'm really enjoying all the cards from the card challenge. kellyr21 that's so awesome that you taught yourself to paint! I never would have thought to go to youtube for that! I dream about painting sometimes, I will have to check that out. I'm not sure how your in laws will like living near a stadium. I guess the intention here was for there to be a shopping/eating kinda of district around them here, but that never panned out, so they are kind of in the middle of nowhere right off the interstate. It's weird. nylene, I've been thinking about you and DH I hope you both got good news. woodysbetty how long before you will be moving? That's awesome that you will be near a pea! LisaDV I've been thinking about you too, I hope you find your perfect house this weekend so that you can get the move finished! @elaynef boo to being sick, I'm glad to hear you are on the mend, and I hope things are going will with work at your house. justjac I have to say, I LOVE your pages. Your digi pages are amazing! Well, I'm off to run a couple errands but wanted to wave hi to everyone! Hope you have a great day!

joyfulnana, we are in the process of meeting with realtors to put our current house up for sale. As soon as it sells off we go...so depending on what we have to do to get the house market ready and then waiting for the right buyer it may be a few months...

Just a quick note. We have a lot going on this week. DH is having another biopsy and I need to have my eye checked again. It seems to be worse than last time. Plus more radiation treatments for DH. If I don't get back before the end of the week, just know we are still here, just in the car or in waiting rooms. BTW, the drains held all week and we have only a couple of days this week to watch. Have a great week, all my Pokey Friends. Thinking of you and hoping for better news for both of you, nylene.

Hoping to hear from you soon, nylene , and that the results of all the tests are something that can help both of you. @elaynef , how is the renovation coming? Is this week the one you plan to spend camping with your dgk's? Or have you already returned? Glad you got to scrap, justlisa7 . Gorgeous wedding pages. How is that baby doing? How was the house hunting trip, LisaDV ? I hope you found something that will work for now and for the years to come. Happy to hear you found your mojo as well, scrapnnana. Do you have any more crafty projects yet to share, kellyr21? I have been slowly getting organized for our crop this next weekend, and making a few Christmas cards as I sort and pack or put away items. Here are some of my cards from the weekend: silver & black by Gramma Dee, on Flickr CT 15 Red & white by Gramma Dee, on Flickr hockey birthday by Gramma Dee, on Flickr CardTober #13 white on white by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Hey everyone and happy Monday! We had a nice weekend and hope you did too. I needed a new coat and I usually go to JC Penney for most of my clothes. But I was at Ross and saw a cute faux leather jacket in a soft metallic goldish silverfish color. I didn't get it on Sat but thought about it all night. LOL! Then, Sun I was excited to go and get it and hoped it would still be there. After church, we made a b-line for Ross and there my cute coat was waiting for me. LOL! So now I have to wait for it to get cold enough to wear it. We are having another heat wave coming up this week. SMH While at Ross, I saw this beautiful painting and I was gonna buy it. But when I showed it to my dh, he said he wasn't impressed because he felt I could make that painting with my skills! (Isn't he a great cheerleader?) So today, I am gonna start my version of that painting. It was a profile of a woman done with flowers in her hair. She was black and white and the flowers were in color. Great challenge for me and I am all in. grammadee- You asked if I am gonna sell my cards again and the answer is yes. I make them up for my dh's job and they buy them. So I will be ordering my pp this week so I can start thinking about them. I Hope my mojo comes back in time. LOL! woodysbetty- Wow, I know you are gonna love Florida. Will you be teaching yoga there too? Yes, it is a struggle to be consistant with yoga but I keep trying. I am not alone!!! LOL! knutschen- So great to hear from you!!! So sad to hear about your dear Felix but what a wonderful blessing to get two new kittens to fill your heart. I was at the pet store the other day and saw some cats and looking forward to when I can have a cat or a small doggy. Keep us posted when you can. nylene- Sending you a warm hug! joyfulnana- Yeah, my in-laws are not gonna like all the Sunday traffic the new stadium is gonna bring. But hopefully things will work out. Waving hello to you all and have a great day!

kellyr21 I am looking forward to the move...not loving all the disruption to get ready but love the idea of living near a pea!! I am not planning to teach but we'll see how that shakes out. I really want to fully retire and take more classes but I love to teach so I can't say that I won't.... nylene thinking of you and hoping things are better!! justlisa7 your wedding layouts are so beautiful!! I love the masculine feel of the last layout....you did that really well!! We expect our move to happen sometime early next year depending on when and how the house sells. We expect to list it really soon and houses tend to sell quickly here. We are just trying to get as much done before the listing, downsizing, de-cluttering, making repairs etc... DH is scheduled for surgery 10/29 and will need to recover about 2-3 weeks so we are trying to do everything early so he can rest...just a crazy time...

That was sweet of your dh to tell you that you could paint that, kellyr21. And I am sure he is right! @elaynef, how did camping go? You were worried about the weather? I hope your dh's surgery goes well, woodysbetty. We had a busy day today. I was making lasagne with tomatoes ripened in my basement, so of course we invited in some people to share it with. And of course that required that the house be cleaned. And because it was finally warm today, that included washing windows. Several pairs of barn swallows had decided to build their muddy nests along the front of the house, and between the mud and the poop streaks on the windows, it was a pretty big mess. All fall I had been hoping to clean it up, but it has been really cold--not window washing weather. It was a big job, but it is DONE!!! And we had a good visit with neighbours over supper. Thursday I hope to get all my stuff packed into the vehicle for the crop on the weekend. Plus I have a regular doctor's appointment, and a friend is bringing his boat to store out here at the farm. He *may* be bringing his wife, so I am happy the house is still in not too bad order. But right now, I need to crawl into bed...

I am just settled at my computer for a few minutes and thought I'd better check in. Steve's biopsy was not good so he had surgery on Tue with follow up radiation when he finishes the course he is doing now. He also had his eye treatments this week. It seems I just get started on a project and it's time to take him, or go get him or take him to run errands. I am not complaining...just want you to know I am not purposely staying away. I have unfinished things all over the house. Hopefully this weekend I can find a few minutes to try to catch up. My eye appt was discouraging. It is not worse, but they want me to wait until the first of the year to see if it will clear. Usually it does, but there is a surgery that will help if it doesn't clear. The sad part is that the other eye has started the same separation, so I'll be looking through "sheer curtains" in both eyes for a while. It's much better than what my sweet husband has. Mine will eventually clear. I am scrapping a little in short bursts. It does relieve the stress. knutschen, it is so good to see you. I am sorry about your Felix. Stop in when you can! Heading out to radiation. Check back later.

Happy Thursday! Hope you are all having a good day. I was telling woodysbetty about the yoga videos I watch on You Tube by Sarah Starr. You all may like to check them out. It's a lot of chair yoga in tranquil, beautiful outdoor settings. I love chair yoga and she has some full body ones, too. It's great to do as a break from scrapping while you sit at the table. It sounds like all of us could use some extra stress relievers. Hugs to us all! Sarah Starrnylene - Oh Nylene, I am sending you warm wishes and prayers your way. I hope your dh gets better and you too. Hang in there! grammadee - Delicious! Can you send some of that lasagna my way? LOL! Sounds so good. Have a fun crop too. Waving hello to you all and take care!

My scrappy stuff for the crop is in the vehicle. Just a quick note before I pack up my suitcase, do a few final things in the house--like last night's dishes--and shut down my home computer. The crop does not start until 5:00, but I need to print photos and pick up what I pare ordered from the LSS, and I want to do a bit of shopping before then, too. Sending ((((HUGS)))) to you and your dh, nylene. Hoping the surgery got all the nasty cancer and that the radiation will zap any that thinks it should grow again. I hope you get some time to breathe this weekend. And maybe get some crafting done as well, but only if it helps you to feel more like yourself. And please don't overstress those eyes! kellyr21, I am afraid the lasagne would not be very palatable after its trip to California! We ate a lot of it, and the leftovers were gladly accepted by our nephew and his wife. It WAS good! Waving hello to everyone!

kellyr21 , I can’t remember if I told you how much I love your wreath! I have a Fall wreath I made several years ago, but I still have flowers in bloom and my summer wreath matches the flowers. So until they wilt, I’m ignoring Fall. I can’t wait to see your painting. What a great husband to know that you can paint something as well as the professionals. I have to agree with him. Congrats on a pretty new coat. woodysbetty , how are the prospects on selling your home? I am so impressed by your Yoga abilities. As my arthritis gets worse I think I need to do something like Yoga. I am looking into the site that kellyr21 posted. I somehow missed that your husband had surgery. I hope he is doing well now. grammadee , have you heard anything about a dog to keep your other one company? I am jealous of a crop together with justjac . I’m sure you will accomplish lots of cards and pages. Hope it goes well for each of you. justlisa7 , I have been so jealous of your new baby and have lamented the fact that our youngest “grand” is 5. Yesterday we got word that we are going to be great-grandparents in April. I am so excited! How are your little guy’s eyes doing? BTW, your wedding pages are just gorgeous. I love everything you have done with them. So classy and tasteful!! joyfulnana , did you get your photos organized? Mine need a bit of work too. Hope things are going well for you. knutschen , I sent you a peamail. It’s so nice to see you stopping by. I hope your crop goes well and that you get a lot done. LisaDV , how is the house hunting? I know you will find the right one. Hang in there! msliz , have you finished all the Disney pages. I have really enjoyed them. I still have a few Disney photos to scrap. @elaynef , how was the camping trip? Are you still under construction at home? I’m glad you still have a space to scrap with all the work going on. patin , I am enjoying your scrappy projects this month. You have done some beautiful cards. Sorry for the L-O-N-G post. It’s been nice to sit down today and enjoy the site for a couple of hours. DH didn’t go to work today so that saved me 2 trips. I even found time to have a hair appt. which was very much needed. Sending hugs to each of you. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers in our behalf. We are doing well. We just need a few more hours in the day!

nylene - so sorry your husband is having a hard time getting better! Keeping him in my prayers, and you too! Hoping your eyes heal faster than the beginning of the year time frame they gave you! grammadee - enjoy the crop!! So much fun with justjac!! Hope you both get a lot done! ! kellyr21 - I am going to check out that chair yoga - sounds relaxing! Thanks for link! woodysbetty - hope your husband’s surgery goes well and he heals quick and you get things done for moving! My 3 little grandsons all have bronichitis - yes, the one month old baby too. Please keep them in your prayers. If the baby gets any worse, he needs to go straight to the children’s hospital. The two older boys (4 and 5 years), have been sick and coughing and it’s hard for the baby not to catch what they have and then it turned to bronchitis. Ryder’s eyes are getting getting better - Thank God! I hope everyone has a restful, fun and enjoyable weekend!!

nylene..I started practicing yoga when the MS had gotten to the point that I was feeling too weak to do much which was really hard for this type A person that loved bench aerobics and running...but yoga helped me move in a way that opened my joints, relaxed my muscles connected me with my breath and simply kept me moving...it has been a gift I open every time I get on my mat. So keep watching those videos! I am also attaching an audio clip chair yoga practice that my teacher led a while back..https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/pranakriyaaudiofiles/Chair+Yoga+Practice+GA2017+edited.mp3. Jacci was my very first yoga teacher and the person that trained me as a Yoga teacher as well. Notice if you can close your eyes and relax your face as you practice it may help with give you some needed space with everything you are facing right now! my Dh goes for surgery on the 29th, he has some cardiac issues so they do a lot of tests and prep work before any procedure for him...but he is strong ( he practices now too!!) and grounded. I hope the link works!! Hugs and thanks for checking in!! justlisa7 - thanks for asking, he is a little nervous so I will be relieved when it's done too!! grammadee - have soo much fun at your crop...wish I had tasted that lasagne!! kellyr21 - you might enjoy that class link too!!

kellyr21 that's so awesome of your DH to be so supportive of your painting, and I bet he's right! justlisa7 keeping those little guys in my thoughts! I hate it when the kids (grown or small) are sick Your pages are so beautiful! That album is going to be amazing when it's finished! grammadee and justjac have fun at your crop! I hope you get a lot done! And grammadee your cards are simply wonderful! I have never been interested in making cards, but every time I see one or yours or nylene's in the gallery I start dreaming about that. I'm so sorry to hear this news about Steve nylene, I hope the radiation takes care of it. I'm sure all the trips for you are not fun either, be sure to take care of yourself! woodysbetty I love the insight you are providing into your yoga practice! I've always been so interested in the healing properties of yoga, as well as the way the time on the mat can correlate to our time off the mat. Which is why I really need to practice more often! I hope your Dh's surgery goes well! Well, I've got a couple little chores to do and then I'm off to my scraproom for the rest of the evening. I didn't get far with my photos, it's such a task, and I would much rather be playing with paper and glue lol. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Just a quick checkin before bed. The crop has been good. Good to spend time with scrappy friends and focus on creativity.
So far I have 20 pages put together: the formal family photos, and interaction around the resort. Tomorrow I hope to finish some character pages and the rides at Disney. Still having trouble printing a few photos, so I may have to finish the last set of pages at the photography shop early in November. They promised they would help me do a few digi pages before scanning the ones I have completed and. printing the book for me.

Just stopping by to say - Hi! grammadee, your Christmas cards are beautiful! I swooned over the poinsetta (cardtober 5). Glad you are having fun at your crop. How's the knee? justlisa7, oh no! Prayers for your little grandsons, especially baby. Your dd is so lucky to have you so close to help out. As someone who didn't have that and longed for it, I know the true blessing that is. I hope all get better very quickly. also, I love seeing your wedding pages. They are so amazing. I requested to follow you on IG. I'm lisadv02. joyfulnana, how's the photo organization going? I always find a photo that I need to scrap right that second and get sidetracked. nylene, I'm so sorry to hear Steve had to undergo surgery and more radiation. And then disheartened to hear that your good eye is starting to pull the same craziness as the other. I hope you have given it a good, stern talking to. Continued prayers for healing for you both. Hugs during this crazy time. woodysbetty, I love your yoga page, I think I saw it on flickr, but not sure if I left a comment. I will keep your husband in my prayers too for a successful surgery. kellyr21, well, I definitely agree with Ron. Your painting skills are quite amazing. I can't wait to see the new piece. knutschen, glad you checked in. Sorry about Mr. Felix. That's always a tough time. But congrats on your newest family members. @elaynef, How's the house repairs coming? Are they done yet? Did your family visits go well? msliz, hope all is well with you. justjac, I'm sure you are enjoying the crop with Dee. I'll need to go look on IG or Flickr to see your pages. We made an offer on a house last weekend, but were outbid. The other people went over asking. Yeah, we're too cheap for that. I think housing is way over priced there and I think it's probably going to drop in the next few months. Other than the one house which I cried over (which is so not me), I'm a house is a house, it's our family that makes it a home type of person. It's just finding one that everyone can agree to. Don will start looking while he's there and I probably won't go back until December. Just due to everything else going on in November. DD's relief band (that gives her a jolt of electricity and makes her fingers tingle) came off the pressure point on the way home. She had our beagle on her lap and didn't notice until she started getting sick. So unfortunately she's been motion sick all week. It's been about 5 days and she started feeling a bit better today, so progress is being made. Otherwise, I'm just working on normal life stuff and trying to do some clean up as well. Not much to report. I've been getting twitchy for some creating, so I hope I can carve out an hour or so to create a layout this week. Wishing everyone a peaceful and good week ahead.

Will try to catch up with everyone’s news over the next day or so

I am awake and DH is asleep. I was hoping we could work on our Hunt a Killer box but he kept falling asleep. I guess we will have to decipher that another day! nylene - I am sorry to hear about your DH and your eyes. I pray that you both heal! grammadee - I will have to check out the challenges and gallery. I keep hoping to sit down and work on making kits but no luck yet. I have a little over 2 weeks till the crop! justlisa7 - I had a cocker spaniel when I was younger. He was a great dog and he lived to be 16 years old. It is always rough when losing a pet. One of the kittens sometimes reminds me of Felix. 😢 kellyr21 - I need to check out your blog to see what paintings you have been working on. I keep wanting to play around with painting. I have recently found a website that sells kits to paint in watercolors. I bought one on how to paint a galaxy. I hope I can find some time soon to give it a try. LisaDV - I remember when I was looking for a house, I was being outbid. Or we would look at a house and by the time we reached the next house, my realtor got a call that it had sold. I decided to overbid a little and finally won at a bid. It is frustrating and I thought I was never going to find a house! Good luck with your hunt. joyfulnana - These kittens have been so fun to have! I do have allergies and am allergic to my furbabies. I have somehow figured out what to do to keep it at a minimum. These kittens are short-haired which is a change for me. I haven't noticed as much hair as I have with my other cats. They were all long-haired and Mr. Felix would always leave balls of fur everywhere! woodysbetty - I keep wanting to do more yoga. I will occasionally do yoga at the fitness center but I find it hard to fit it in with the timing of the class. I need to check out some youtube videos and do this from my Apple TV. I had a fun weekend but I have also been fighting with my allergies. Saturday, my sister and I took our dogs to Pets & Pumpkins. I had dressed Phoebe up in a rainbow tutu and got her a unicorn horn to wear. I also had a unicorn horn headband to wear! It was really windy that day and I couldn't stop sneezing! Sunday, I was hoping to relax a little but I didn't get much time for that. DH and I signed up for the A-list at AMC movie theaters in town and we can watch up to 3 movies a week. We decided to go see a movie since I wasn't feeling up to it Saturday night. I am enjoying keeping up with movies and what to watch next! I work Monday - Wednesday this week. I hope we are better staffed this week. I think the travelers are more oriented to our unit and will be a big help till new nurses can be hired. I hope everyone has a great week!
