So the full 60 will be available. I like the oxides. I don't have all of them though. Not yet.
If I had my choice I would have only bought oxides.
I like you can stamp with them and get a great image. They seem to blend better as well.
It's just storing everything. I mean 121 distress pads. Possibly 121 re inkers.

Ooh hadn’t realised that. I don’t have them all by any means but will probably add a few additional colours from the latest release.

I haven't purchased any of the last couple of releases. I have too many inks.

I've been waiting for festive berries - it's a good red for me. I'm slowly collecting colours because yes, they are a true multi-purpose ink!

I also like the berries and also chipped sapphire, maybe pumice The rest are likely a no for me i also agree about the storage issue. I have never understood for instance why Tim’s cube storage tins only hold 12 why not produce something that holds all the colours at once? Also ,given the popularity of cubes I wonder why the oxides are only full sized pads

Introducing Tim Holtz new luggage line!

Well, I ordered them all because I have all the others and I must complete my set . . .and Oozak has them all for 25% off.
The oxide reinkers fit quite well in tim's alcohol ink storage tins (although those tins hold 36 bottles each, so they have more space than needed for the 60 reinkers. The regular distress reinkers, however, do NOT fit in those tins. The squeezy tops make them too tall. I'm having a devil of a time finding storage I like for those.

I'm going to be good and put them on my Christmas list. I have all the other colors and love them! I need to complete the set and I need Festive Berries and Pine Needles.

I don't think enough of the full mix would make it onto the cube in manufacturing.

Even if they eventually figure out the oxide cube thing I’m not going back and adding duplicate colors. I did some of that with regular Distress and that’s a ton of stuff to store. I’ve considered finishing my set of cubes and off loading my bigger pads but can’t pull the trigger on it.
Good tip on the storage of the oxide reinkers in the alcohol ink tins. Makes sense. Some of the stamp pad wall organizers have round holes next to the ink pad slots and fit the original Distress inkers. I have one of those. Unfortunately I bought mine and then TH released 12 more Distress colors later so I couldn’t store them all. That rack was pricey though.

I believe he said it is because the formulation for the oxides doesn't work as well in a smaller size. Yep, Tim has said the chemist at Ranger finally stopped trying to make it work in a smaller format this year. It's just not working out. The formulation doesn't lend itself well to the small pad and starts separating.
Well, I'll be the odd duck because I have quite a few I want from this final release depending on how they swatch in Tim's video (waiting for it to drop on YT): Dried Marigold, Pine Needles, Weathered Wood (I've been waiting for this one for so long!), Chipped Sapphire, Victorian Velvet (please, let this one oxide beautifully!), Milled Lavender and Pumice Stone. My favourite Oxide release of all.
I'm that boring gal who likes soft hues, I confess.

My LSS is selling this case for full size distress pads - you can store 36 regular inks (vertically), or 35 oxide pads (flat) in it, and it's NOT expensive - I plan to buy one. The pads fit in perfectly. I'll try and post a picture, but if not, here's the link to the case at amazon: amazon.ca artbin strip case

Interesting idea kitbop. Just wish the bin wasn’t so long.

I can't wait to get these new colors! I have gotten all of them so far. Love all the blending or splattering you can do with the Distress Oxides. Have a birthday coming up so these new colors will be what I'm "hinting" for. (Wink.)

I didn’t think I needed but one or two until I watched Tim’s release video. I must have the yellow/orange combos he used to make the fall-colored tag, plus Pumice Stone, and maybe Chipped Sapphire. He’s a good salesman!

I think that's why I've avoided his videos! He makes everything sound and look awesome, even ugly muddy browns (which I hate as much as he loves them). He makes me want to buy all the things. I'm glad that the whole range will be complete now, so I can evaluate which colors I need to fill in gaps. It sounds like the chipped sapphire and festive berries might be worth looking at. There will probably be a few more. I think I missed the last release. I do use them a lot and I don't have other colored inks so I won't mind getting a few more. I'd probably feel differently if I had all the regular distress though.

I do want a couple more colors, but I really don’t use the ones I have enough to justify more. I love the vibrant colors, but they seem to tone down a lot when dry. I need to learn to use them right I think 🤷♀️

I used them quite a bit in my black dylusions journal and was looking over some of my creations and if you run your finger over it a chalky residue was on my finger. And these pages were older. Like a few months old

Like a few months old Tim said to apply the Distress Micro Glaze to seal Distress Oxide ink. A little goes a long way so the small pot lasts quite a while.
