Do I need Tieks?! And if so, what color? I've been looking on and off for years but I haven't bit the bullet. I tried Rothys, but I don't love them. I have some Lucky emmie flats that I like, but they dont have enough support to wear all day. If I do end up getting them, what color should I get?? I wear a lot of basic black, grey, and darker navy or olive green. Should I get matte black, slate gray croc, cardinal red, rose gold glam, or nude lace?

Tieks don't have a lot of support. But red. You need red. I swear they go with everything.

I had a pair of Tieks for a brief time and I didn't care for them. The bottom of my feet must be sensitive, the Tieks were too "unfinished" (for a lack of how else to say it) on the inside for me. I could feel all the stitching and it was weird and uncomfortable.

I’m old. My feet need more padding/cushions/support than Tieks provide. For that amount of money, shoes should pamper my feet, IMO. Needless to say, I’m not a Tieks, or other minimalist ballet flats, fan. You should buy what makes you and your feet happy, however!

I don't think you need them. They don't look very comfortable or durable. They don't look like they have enough support to wear all day.

If your Emmie flats don’t have enough support these won’t either.
When I commuted by train these were the modern alternative to the working gal suit and track shoes that a lot of ladies wore in the 80s and 90s. They would teeter around the office in their expensive high heels then change into these for the ride to and from.

Way over priced for what they are.

I bought yosi samra for a fraction of the price when I needed a gold up flat. I actually wore them to my wedding.

Personally I am not wild about the way they look but, if I had to pick a color I would go with black.

Whoa never heard of them.... I am still balking over $165 for shoes that have support for PF.. they are still hurting me. Those would not work for my sore feet.

My DD bought a pair, she's on her feet all hours of the day. While she said they were good, she definitely did not say go get a pair mom you'll love them. Better than some, but not planning to buy another pair if that tells you something.

I am so glad you asked this. I have been kicking around the idea of buying a pair for awhile now but couldn't get past the price tag. I think I will pass.

Better than some, but not planning to buy another pair if that tells you something. My DD is a teacher, on her feet most of the day, and had the same experience.

I am SO GLAD you asked this question! I desperately need a new pair of black flats and can't find any that work, I was thinking about trying these. I'll save my money and try something else. Thank you!!

I cant wear any ballet flats because they flop off my heels no matter what size they are. I like the slate gray color for a neutral tone though

I tried them and wasn’t a fan. It wasn’t the support issue, but rather that the toe box wasn’t “tall” enough. It put pressure on the top/nail of my big toe and was unbearable. I have since bought several pairs of the Hush Puppies Chaste flats that someone recommended here eons ago. Much more affordable but not as many pretty colors though.

I would recommend trying on a pair first. Several of my friends have them and love them, so I thought about getting a pair. I tried on my friend's Tieks, and I didn't like how the plain leather ones felt around my arch, and the seam on the patent leather ones rubbed on the joint of my big toe. 😢
I was sad, but glad I discovered this before I invested in a pair.

I bought a red pair a few years ago bc I just had to have them for traveling. I do not like them at all. They are way way overpriced for what they are. I think they are cute but I don’t think they are cute enough for what I paid for them. They hurt my feet & don’t have any support which I didn’t expect. I’m not sure what I did expect for the $$$$ but it sure isn’t what I got!!

My friend bought a pair and swears by them. I am glad to see other opinions of them and I am glad I haven't bought a pair yet. I have narrow heels, but she says these stay on. And I hate to feel the inside seams of shoes. I have very low tolerance for foot discomfort. Sounds like I would not be happy with these.

I have a pair....and they are good but not great. Meaning, I wear my pair and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day --- but --- when I do take them off I am ready for them to be off (If that makes sense!).

WTH, are those prices for real? Until I saw the price I was thinking “Meh, I personally don’t like ballet flats but if you do then get them” but after seeing the price I change my answer to “No fkn way!”
They’d wanna be giving me daily foot massages- heck, full body massages - and pedicures for that price.

I cannot fathom how a pair of ballet flats could cost that much money, not even if they were sewn by hand. So I voted no.

I'm not a big fan of ballet flats to start with, so I'd be hesitant about any of this type - and especially so at that price. I think the round toe is unflattering on most people, and I have a surgery scar at the base of my big toe and I think it would be uncomfortable for the shoe to sit right on that.
If you can fold a pair of shoes in half like that, you know the support can't be that good.

I bought into the hype and bought a pair a couple of years ago. They are okay but they aren't that comfortable. I could only wear them for 2 hours before it got too uncomfortable for me.
Also, they don't last as long as they should. They were showing a lot of wear and tear when I only wore them for 4 months (and not everyday). I wouldn't buy another pair. Yes, they're really cute but not that comfortable.

I have navy and gold and love them both! I find that they are supportive and hold up extremely well. I wear one or both pairs several times a week, and they look brand new. I wish I could afford them in every color .

I have Rothys that I like. They are a similar shoe, they are made from recycled bottles and can be washed in the washer. I bought one pair of ballet style to try them. I thought they might make my feet sweaty, but they didn’t and are surprisingly comfortable. I bought another pair of ballet style and a pair of loafers. The loafers are now my favorites!

I caved and purchased two pairs -- one in green and one in red. Super nice presentation upon arrival BUT they were not comfortable for me at all. I purchased two different sizes as well because the return policy is very friendly. However, with my PF these shoes would not do. Also, the fit was not good in either size. I am glad I was able to try them on in two different sizes walk around indoors only and returned them knowing that TIEKS are NOT for me. I think if you are seriously going to spend that much money go ahead and order, try them on and if you love KEEP, if you don't RETURN.

No. Save your money. I bought a pair of the matte black. They're comfortable, but not comfortable enough to wear all day.
They have minimal support. Honestly, they're not my favorite pair of shoes, but they are my most expensive.
