Wow! You are all so talented! I haven't made a card in ages, and it seems it has gone to a completely different level since my Holly Berry House stamps! I signed up for the Christmas card swap and decided come here for a little inspiration! Keep them coming! I love how creative these are!

Welcome FuzzyMutt I hope you have fun getting inspired for the card swap. A lot of the cards we're sharing are really not as complicated as they might look. But there are a lot of cool products and techniques we have access to now that I would never have imagined back when I made my first cards in the early 20-oughts.

I needed to make a birthday card for my special needs granddaughter, so I thought she would like a pop-up card. I used a little Wink of Stella to add shine, but I'm not sure how well it shows in the photo. I used Silhouette store cutting files for this one. I found it harder to fold a traditional pop-up than to do a box card. First the front of the card: And now the pop-up inside:

scrapnnana that's great! I'm sure Emily will love it especially with her name right there inside. I've never actually made a traditional pop up card. I guess I should challenge myself sometime!

Such fun cards. I love pop up cards. Thank you for the ideas- I like the springy things I have never done those. The box cards are fun & I love giving them. They definitely have a wow factor. This is a card for my dear friend in SoCA who loves camping at anytime of the year. Cardtober #16 by Pati Nuce, on Flickr Cardtober #16 by Pati Nuce, on Flickr

Wow, patin! That's so cool! I love how bold and awesome that pop up camper is and that you still have space to write a message inside too. Did you use a cut file for that or a die? I just gave my first box card to a friend and she seemed blown away by it. I definitely need to hone my box card and pop up skills. They're really good bang for the buck.

Can you stand one more pop up card? I have another grandkid's birthday coming up.... The castles are Silhouette Design Store cutting files. The knight and dragon were cut using Karen Burniston dies. There is more detail to the castle on the front than the photo shows.

I step away from this thread for a couple of days and when I come back, WOW!!! I'm blown away, scrapnnana, patin and nylene. You guys have knocked it out of the ballpark with such great pop up cards! I may have fallen down the Karen Burniston hole and can't wait for my dies to arrive. So many ideas for pop up kid cards are swirling in my head!.

nylene, I don't know how I missed seeing your card, but that is an adorable get well card! I will have to try that style of pop up next. Very cute!

scrapnnana My word, what a pop-up that is! Well, they both are but that castle looks hugely complicated I really out to try a proper pop-up card, I'm dithering....
