I stayed home yesterday. So exhausted! One of my dogs is having issues. Age? Senility? It started with needing to leave lights on for her at night. Now, it’s as if she is afraid of being alone. I end up sleeping on the couch just to keep her from barking every 15 minutes. We think she may have lost a fair amount of her hearing. She’s still happy and enjoying life. Sleeping on the couch wouldn’t be so bad. However, I also have a spastic Pom who can’t make up his mind if he wants to lay on me or not. One of the cats decided that kneading me was a great idea at 4 am. Just after Lil Bit settled in, of course. Anyway, I need to go out today if I want to keep my daily task streak going. Have you seen Gyarados or Tyrantar (the green dinosaur looking Pokémon) in the wild? That is what my group has been reporting. That’s where someone showed they caught a Mrs Mime, so... Mrs Mime does not exist.... I know people who have seen evolutions like Gyarados or Dragonair in the Wild, but it happens very, very rarely. Yes. Someone on this board informed me of the non-existence of that particular Pokémon. So, I am quite hesitant to believe too much from that group beyond meeting up for raids. |

I just got back from New York, I spun lots of stops, sent lots of gifts, but didn’t catch much.
Gyms and stops for as far as the eye can see. I’m envious.

How did everyone do with community day today? DD got 6 shiny, I got 7, and DS (who was working, but I used his account for him) got 8. It was freakin' cold though. We spent most of the 3 hours in the car. I did walk a little but my fingers were so cold I could barely catch pokemon.

We spent most of the 3 hours in the car. I did walk a little but my fingers were so cold I could barely catch pokemon. Not one single shiny out of about 120 catches. Win some, lose some I guess. I did get a great Typhlosion out of it and 90 minutes of walking. |

I am out of town and in an area with pokemon or stops. My husband caught over 100 cyndaquils on his account with no shinies. He logged in for me, caught 4, one of which was shiny!
I also got 2 shiny ponyata and 2 shiny cubones during the rush last week, he didn’t get any shinies of those at all. The poor man. I am going to give him the shiny cyndaquil.

I clicked on it first, nope, just your regular, boring Caterpie, and then he gets the shiny.😭I have caught so many and done every task I have found (I Even have Pidgey as my buddy to Get more candies), so of course he’s theone who gets a shiny. |

You have to pay for the extra storage space. I just transferred about 50 pokemon last night but it won't be long before I need the extra storage space. DS probably already upgraded all the way to 2000.

Look at all the gyms and pokestops at Arlington National Cemetery. 😲 I felt slightly disrespectful. 😜 We’re standing up on the hill so all the pokestops you see in the distance are in the cemetery.  |

seems like cemeteries are prime spots for stops and gyms. The ones here have quite a few. Some cemeteries are asking players to stay out and asking niantic to remove the stops and gyms. I kind of don't blame them-people can be pretty nasty. Luckily it seems like people are respectful in the cemeteries in our little community. There are some in our group that choose not to play there at all.

This is a cemetery which has walking tours, walking trails, picnic tables, an art gallery and public bathroom in the mausoleum, etc. On community days and even most weekends there are large groups of people walking and driving around, battling gyms, etc.

So, I have a new research task..."evolve two pidgey".... You know how Pidgey is like Rattata and is EVERYWHERE, getting in the way of better Pokemon? Well immediately after I got that research task Pidgey has disappeared. I have not seen even ONE of them. ugh And, I just noticed that Murkrow now evolves! However, of course it needs a special item that I do not have. |

You get the new evolution item as the last reward for the weekly field research.
DH & I need to do 7 raids today so we can finish the special Meltan research before the event ends. Unfortunately we're both traveling (in different directions) next weekend so we'll miss the special Community event. He'll be in a place where he doesn't even have cell phone service so he'll miss it entirely.

It doesn't show it as a reward, it's just one of the items he gives you when you complete day 7 of the field research. And I don't think they'll take the Meltan special research away when the event ends, it will just be more difficult to complete because the spawns will change.

The problem with Ditto, of course, is that you can't see he's Ditto so you have to catch every single low-level Pokemon who comes by. |
