I think it could be a problem if you are 1) not putting it in a case and 2) putting it in your pocket and SITTING on it. That seemed to be the issue, whether it was front pocket or back pocket, it's not a size that should be in a pocket I guess.

I had reservations about a giant phone to begin with; now, I'm just more sure I don't want one!

If people are either A) idiots about taking basic precautions with their phones, or B) intentionally trying to bend their phones, then yes, a lightweight, large, thin phone can be bent. This is not exclusive to the iPhone 6 Plus.

I'm holding a plus in my hand as I type. Bend? I hardly think so. I suppose if I had the strength and felt the need but really? Like any electronic device, certain care has to be taken. I'm just amazed at the naysayers that will find fault in anything. Anything will break if you try hard enough.
While this size may not be for everyone, I absolutely positively love it.

There have been some posts on Apple forums from iPhone 6 Plus users that are stating that their phones have curved after carrying them in a pocket. It is a big phone and it is a thin phone. It needs a protective cover like any phone would need if it is going to be protected from damage. There are photos of broken iPhones too. I bought an Otterbox for mine yesterday. That is to much of an investment to take that kind of chance.

I also hear last night this happened with the 5 series of phones. I'm guessing that those that are bending aren't in cases.

I won't be upgrading to the 6 because it seems too big to me to be carried comfortably in a front pocket (and I don't like carrying things in a back pocket). Unless Apple comes out with a later version that is smaller, the 5S will be the last iPhone I own. If I wanted a mini tablet, I'd buy a mini tablet.

I almost always carry my phone in my front pants pocket. I got the 6 and it has been fine (I'm not small, so pockets are good size on most of my pants). I'm guessing I might have a pair or two of dress pants that won't work with it, but so far I've not had a problem. I do have a Speck case on it and I never ever put anything else in the pocket with my phone.

That's what I don't get. I don't carry a purse so my phone is always in my back pocket. But, what do they expect guys to do? If they don't wear a suit with an inside jacket pocket all the time, where are they expected to carry their phone? Front pockets are eventually going to be too small, and to me the back pocket gets less of a curve to it when you sit down than the front. There's not always a place to lay a phone when you sit down. I like the smaller phones, agree if I wanted a tablet I would get one, but I also don't see the point in phones being wafer thin. I have a 4S. It's thin enough. The thinner and lighter they are it just seems like the easier to drop and break. Different isn't always better.

This happened to my daughter's iPod touch. Her friend tried to grab it from her and it bent. One week after she got it. So yeah - it does happen and it sucks. (FYI - Apple replaced it.)

I miss cargo pants.
(I also miss my iPhone 4, and think my 5 is too long. Clearly, I am out of touch in many ways.)
