What do you have your phone screen's brightness setting on, and what type of phone do you have? Today I adjusted mine up to 75% brightness on whim (usually have it at about 35%) and holy cow, my photos on IG look REALLY bright to me. Oops! I hope they're not hurting anyone's eyes ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) Anyhow, I thought maybe I should adjust the in app editing I do from here out, and need a baseline as to how bright most people like their phone's settings. Also, if you happen to follow me on IG, any specific thoughts on the brightness of my photos in general is welcomed. Thanks!

Pretty low, like around 35% or so. But I turn it up to 100% while I’m editing so I don’t wash photos out.

Embarrassed to say I keep it at 100% most of the time. My eyesight isn't as good as it used to be the older I get. When I turn it down, I can't see some of the stuff on the screen.

I keep mine at 35% alll the time, even when editing. I just tried 100 and it was brighter than a flashlight!

I let mine auto-adjust to ambient lighting, so sometimes it's on max brightness and sometimes it's on 10%. It's very very rare that I manually adjust.

Mine is on 50%- it's an iPhone 7. It's where it was set when I bought it and I haven't adjusted it.

My iPhone is at 50%. I never really thought about it until I was at a store and they needed to scan a coupon from my phone. The scanner wouldn’t work since my screen was too dim. I turned it to 50% and left it there since the screen looked so much better.

I tend to have mine at 80% during the day. I have a bad habit of playing puzzle games to turn my brain off in bed so I turn it down to 10% to keep it from bugging DH.
(when I say turn off, I mean the anxiety, the thoughts, etc. Puzzle games make me zone out so that I can settle down to sleep)

100% unless I’m in a dark room, then I turn it down.

Not sure about other makes, but with Apple devices, the screen brightness is the biggest factor on battery draw. Reducing screen brightness makes a huge difference in how long a charge lasts. You can feel the heat in the devices when the screen is bright. I have autobrightness switched on.

Mine is usually about 35%...i have an old Samsung (my new one is waiting for me!) I agree with Jockscrap that it seems to drain the battery more if I have it too bright. I do follow you on Instagram! And I haven't noticed that your photos were either glaringly bright or horribly dark. They look great to me. I just experimented with looking at them and changing my brightness settings and it doesn't seem to blow them out if I turn it up, more just make them really luminous. I hadn't really thought about it before, which is probably foolish. I have my screen set really low and then when I edit I always ramp the brightness right up...lol I should probably check my own photos!

It varies, depending on the brightness of where I am and what I'm doing.

Just under medium strength. Having it too bright gives me a nasty headache.
