Well she hasn't scrapbooked since about 1998 when we first started together. Bless her heart... There are really some funny stuff in her bag though... not even opened.. I am thinking I could sell as being 'hard to find' or 'vintage'... Almost all the pattern paper is 8 1/2 x 11 and not even 'scrapbook' paper.. more of the stationary paper... back when that is all you could really find.
Going through it was a kick though.. anyone want some dies?? Remember the bins of dies lol... She did give me her Creative Memories circle cutters, which is great.. BUT none of the blades... so will have to ask her if she still has them somewhere else. (I think she has another box of stuff...)...
It was very nice of her though...

Kind of fun to go through "vintage" scrapping stuff every once in a while.

I still have a lot of vintage stuff too from when I first started. Once more items started coming out it seemed easier and better to move on. I still love looking at it and lately I try to implement some of my old stuff so it doesn't go to waste. With the vintage style that is out now it is easier.

I am kinda excited to see how to use the old stuff with the new.. might be fun to see how I can arrange a page like that...

The very very first ones that came out..yes paper shapes from cardstock.. then at least in my scrapbook store sold in bins for something like .25 for large / .20 for small.. very very very plain. Like the outline of a house..

I've had a couple friends give me their old supplies too. Most of it I save for the grandkids to use. Once in a while there is something in those old totes that I can use. The last one gave me tons of CM stickers. Those went to the grandkids. I did get a CM corner rounder, which was nice. It is funny to look through it all, though!

I recently sent an almost 20 lb box of supplies just like you describe to a teacher I never met but she was looking for stuff to use with troubled families. I included a whole bunch of that 8.5 x 11 paper that came out more than a decade ago and longer.

A lady that worked with my dd gave her a ton of old tools and supplies a couple of years ago - including some CM cutting system - of which I was glad, so I don't have to worry about her taking mine

When my BFF teases me about using something old on my pages I say "it's vintage"! Lol

It was very nice of her though... Are you talking about the ones that have groove around the inside and the outside of the form shape? Then the blade is in a holder that you drag around the form. I have an extra set of blades for those as well as the the oval shapes. I can send them to you if you'd like.

It was very nice of her though... Um... I still have bought die cuts running around. Even though I have a big red Sizzix and now mostly use my Cricut Expression 2. I use everything else though like my eyelets. May take a while to run out of those though!

Oh my gosh, I remember using those die shapes on my pages. We used to chalk the edges to make them stand out a bit. They were one of the few 'embellishments' out when I started scrapping.

I was kinda excited when I got them, but then no blades.. lol...

Enjoy your treasures. It's nice of you to share what you won't use. I tend to purge once a year and it's always nice to wander down scrappers memory lane.

Like the outline of a house.. I remember those! They went defunct when everyone started buying Sizzix and other die cutting machines. Our Ms used to display them in tall units where each shape was stored in its own little bin. Wow, that really brings back the memories! If anything, it sure would be fun to go through all that stuff and you never know, you may find something you can use now. How does that saying go..."everything old is new again" or something like that?
