sweat jacket/cardigan to wear in the house and I don't like having the hood on the back. I don't want a pullover as I like being able to take off and put on the jacket through out the day as necessary.
I've looked at lots of online store to find a sweat jacket without a hood and couldn't find one.
I suppose my options are to convert a hoodie by removing the hood or converting a crew sweatshirt into a jacket by cutting it open and adding buttons or a zipper. Either one I go with would need a tailor so that is an added cost.
Anyone try to do either of these scenarios or actually find a good hoodless sweat jacket?

I've cut then hoods off of a few hoodies if I just plan to wear them around the house. I had a sweatshirt I loved that had the heaviest hood. I always felt like I was being strangled. I've also cut the waistband off of a sweatshirt I just planned to wear around the house. I hate sweatshirt wastebands that are tight and always creep up to my actual waistline. Of course, they end up looking like total crap, but are comfy for the house.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I've also cut the neckline of crew neck sweatshirts so that they quit strangling me. I'm a fashion plate around the house, I tell ya...

I saw a zip up with no hood at Walmart today! Athletic Works is the brand, but I don't see the same sweatshirt online.

I have a fleece jacket from Bass Pro Shop that I LOVE LOVE LOVE... and you can get them for $10 on Black Friday (if you have a Bass Pro near you)... It's just the right amount of thickness to wear inside the house on a cold day, with no hood to mess with. I wear it almost all winter long in Colorado even... except on very very cold days, but most of the time it is mild enough. The jacket also comes in a ton of different colors. I can't wait to get a couple of more.. and probably get one for my 10 year old.

Search track jackets. They typically don't have hoods.
