Can a single card qualify for more than one cardtober challenge? I've wondered the same thing. I've made a couple so far that could easily qualify for more than one challenge. Glad you asked, Gale.

I think it's all personal preference. I'm not doing the challenges for points and I'm not on a team. Maybe someone who is can weigh in.
For me, personally, I plan on making new cards for each challenge. I'm behind on challenges #8 thru #21 due to vacation. At some point I plan on trying to catch up. I do have cards that I've made previously that fit a few of the challenges posted, but I think the fun is trying to create something new. For today's challenge #22 the 75th and the 5 card were made previously (and given away), but the 30th card was new. On my challenge #1, the example with the trailer was made previously and given away, but the other two were made for the challenge.

I do plan on making a card for each challenge. But I didn't know if I'm missing out on points for my team by only counting them for one challenge, when a card might meet the requirements of more than one.

Can a single card qualify for more than one cardtober challenge? A single card can earn only one point for cardTober (challenge #1 in the Team Challenges). But it can also qualify for other team points for any of the other 53 challenges. That’s for points. If you want to use multiple Cardtober challenges as inspiration for one card, go for it!

Thanks! I was also wondering. I had decided to make a separate card for each challenge, regardless, but I was wondering how to count points.
Can we make more than one card for a challenge and count both for points? For example, I made a box card for Cardtober challenge #16, but today I made a pop up birthday card for my granddaughter. Can I get the points for two pop up cards, then? It's not a big deal if we can't, but I just need to know how to figure the points that I've earned for my team.

I've seen others make multiple cards for the same challenge and count points for each one.

You can count an individual challenge every time you meet it. So 2 cards for the same challenge adds up to double the points.

Okay, I have another question. Some of the main challengs specifically state "layout" so I assume that whatever that challenge was applies only to layouts, not cards? Or is that a misunderstanding on my part?

Or is that a misunderstanding on my part? I'm guessing you can apply it to cards as well. I've never done the team challenges since I'm strictly a card maker. I posted a question in the November sign-up thread asking if it was OK to join in as a card maker and just adapt the challenges accordingly and was told that was absolutely fine. stinkerbelle said I was definitely welcome to sign up and join a team next month and just adapt things as needed. The more the merrier was the general consensus!

scrapnnana you can definitely apply any of the challenges to any sort of papercrafts, be it cards or PL spreads or art journaling or whatever suits your fancy.
