For the recount. I heard one explanation today. Seems the Florida ballot is like 6 or so pages, and they have to separate the pages to scan/count just the relevant pages. They do not scan/count the whole thing. I do have a question: They are supposed to STOP counting the votes/ballots at noon on Saturday. One of Scott's law suits is claiming they counted some after noon on Saturday. Does that in fact mean that any votes they don't get too by noon are never counted? This midterm more people voted all over the country. That could mean there were/are far too many to count within the allotted times?!?!?! Also why Arizona is still counting. And NJ too. DH and I did our mail-in ballots early. I thought it would be easy since I knew who we wanted to vote for (NOTE the "we" there--DH went on my advice this time!). It wasn't easy! I had to research so many of the people and some questions before we finished! It took about an hour or so. The questions were poorly laid out and it was hard to read, but then there were portions of it that were very easily read. Strange!!! I don't ever remember it being like that before here in FL. (We're only here for 7 years--still can't get used to anything down here--not too much makes sense!)

This saddens me so much. This is not the Wisconsin that I know and love.
I heard that the kids were instructed to make the gesture by the photographer so, if true, it wasn't something that the kids planned. Doesn't make it right of course but when an adult sends the message that this kind of thing is cool...
And the fact that it was on the town's website. Well, I don't even know what to say to that.

A Beth tweeted this...
“Something's coming.
FOX news, Wikileaks and now Drudge twitter accounts going silent.”
Does anybody know anything about why?

Maybe it has something to do with 8 of Mueller’s prosecutors working today and Michael Cohen coming in to DC...

Have we discussed Trumpy Bear yet? Apparently this is a real ad that runs on Fox, not an SNL skit. I desperately want to buy one for my father in law. Except that I don’t want to actually give them my money.

They are keeping off twitter to protest Twitter's slow response to the group that posted Tucker Carlson's address. Oh. That’s one thing I’m in agreement with. I quit twitter several months back due to their lack of cracking down on hate groups and hate speech. I’m not going to lie...it hurt. Lol. That’s the only real social media I participated in. But I couldn’t keep going to a platform that refused to consistently enforce their rules.

Another one to go from dt Cabinet! Trump to oust Nielsen as early as this week: report BY EMILY BIRNBAUM - 11/12/18 10:54 PM EST President Trump is planning to oust Homeland Security Secretary Kirsten Nielsen as early as this week, The Washington Post reported on Monday. Five current and former White House officials told the Post that Trump is planning to remove Nielsen as soon as possible. White House chief of staff John Kelly is reportedly fighting the president on the matter, hoping to keep Nielsen in place. Kelly hired Nielsen as his chief of staff while DHS secretary and has defended her for months. DEVELOPING thehill.com/homenews/administration/416359-trump-to-oust-nielsen-as-early-as-this-week-report

Why, in heaven’s name, is the senator portion way down below on the left-hand side bunched up with instructions and the governor portion all the way at the top in the center? Just looking at it, it’ll be very easy to miss the senator portion. No wonder the machines were spitting out all these “undervotes.”

They literally study how to make things easy, obvious, idiot-proof. I guess FL hasn't heard of UX? Or graphic design?

You just knew this was coming...
From trump.
“Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two - How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!
On Trade, France makes excellent wine, but so does the U.S. The problem is that France makes it very hard for the U.S. to sell its wines into France, and charges big Tariffs, whereas the U.S. makes it easy for French wines, and charges very small Tariffs. Not fair, must change!
The problem is that Emmanuel suffers from a very low Approval Rating in France, 26%, and an unemployment rate of almost 10%. He was just trying to get onto another subject. By the way, there is no country more Nationalist than France, very proud people-and rightfully so!........
MAKE FRANCE GREAT AGAIN!”

So trump just threw the Secret Service under the bus.
“By the way, when the helicopter couldn’t fly to the first cemetery in France because of almost zero visibility, I suggested driving. Secret Service said NO, too far from airport & big Paris shutdown. Speech next day at American Cemetary in pouring rain! Little reported-Fake News!”

This is rich coming from Tucker Carlson...
“How'd we get to a place where it's normal that two parts of the country despise each other? That you can imagine the other side encouraging terror? Our thinking changed. We stopped debating politics & ideas & started attacking others for things we can't change, for who we are.”
First let me say that group of people should never have gone to his house. Just like his wife should not have “embellished “ what happened. It seems her view is much different then what the police report says. Yes I understand she was frightened.
Having said that night after night Carlson is doing exactly what he is now complaining about.

What happened with Tucker Carlson? I seem to have missed that? Protesters went to his house and scared his wife and kids. Shameful... However, for Tucker to play dumb as to why...equally shameful.

What happened with Tucker Carlson? I seem to have missed that? From The Hill.. “Police in Washington, D.C., are investigating an incident outside Fox News host Tucker Carlson's home, including whether a spray-painted anarchist symbol on Carlson's driveway represents a hate crime. A crowd of people gathered outside Carlson's home on Wednesday night, shouting insults and, according to the police statement, defacing property.” link

Yes, Bannon has been over there drumming up the WNS. Recently, in Toronto, there was a debate between David Frum (Atlantic Magazine) and Steve Bannon. This was an excellent debate and Mr. Bannon was on his very best behaviour. Below is a link to the debate. MUNK DEBATE ON POPULISM FRI NOV 2, 2018 6:45 PM On Friday, November 2, 2018 Munk Debate will move the motion: Be it resolved, the future of western politics is populist not liberal… Arguing for the resolution will be one of the world’s most well-known populist thinkers and campaigners, Stephen K. Bannon. He served as the CEO of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, helping to shape and amplify many of the populist policies that helped get President Trump elected. Speaking against the resolution one of North America’s leading public intellectuals, David Frum. He is a senior editor of The Atlantic magazine, and his most recent book, Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic, was a New York Times bestseller. www.munkdebates.com/Video
