So a few weeks ago my dd's ortho said she need gum grafting. Even though she says dentist regularly and brushes/flosses, it's been confirmed she does need surgery. Which we'll do to help her health, stinks because it took so long to find out, and throws wrench in pictures for senior year (braces stay on).

I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's an expensive procedure, but it will save her teeth in the long run.

Braces on in senior pics just shows where she is in her life - no biggie but the surgery is important for her oral health so that is not up for discussion IMHO.
