I am a bit lost this season. I have lots of pairs of jeans - boot cut, straight, skinny, dark, light, distressed, smarter etc - but I'm just not 'feeling it' with any particular styles at the moment. Partly that's because my feet feel the cold so much so I tend not wear them turned up with trainers, or ankle length with brogues for example when it's colder. Usually I have 'a look' that I like and aim for, but nothing is grabbing me at the moment, no trend with jeans is standing out to me and I just end up feeling I look Blah...not really what I'm going for so do I need some new boots to go with what I have? A new cut of jeans? Any suggestions? What are you all doing? ETA - if anyone wants to add a pic either of themselves or just a random pic of their style I'd love to see them

Mostly turned up with ankle booties this time of year - but it's not particularly cold where I live. Can you wear your skinnies with tall boots?

I could - if I get some new ones!! It’s a good excuse I guess 😉

skinny or straight turned up or left down with ankle booties or heels-when it gets colder-tall boots
don't know if I am ready yet to do anything bootcut-it's not super flattering on my frame

I’m loving the “boyfriend/girlfriend” type of jeans right now, super comfy. They’re turned up at the bottom above ankle I’ve been wearing with my Converse for fun and booties for a nicer/dressier look.
Super cute too!
It’s getting colder here so these jeans will go on the back burner soon, and I’ll transition to a skinny jean or straight leg. I bought a bunch or corduroy jeans for this year so I’ll be sporting those with boots too.

Skinny and mostly dark. One pair grey, one distressed, one olive. But I am 100% skinny or straight jeans. I don’t like boot cut on me and I will wear skinny jeans as long as they exist.

I have skinny ankles so I actually wear either jeggings or skinnies, even straight look too loose. It took me awhile to get on the skinny jean train, but now I don't want to go back to wide ankle, they make me look shorter than my measly 5'1" and frumpy. I wear either booties (which if it matters dh hates, he says they make me look short ), riding boots, converse, nikes, or duck boots if its rainy out.

Black combat style boots with or without a decorative cuff sock, booties, my Alegria oxfords, Vionic slip ons (look like Keds), or trainers (mine are grey with teal). Always socks.

I've bought a few pairs of jeans here recently - all of them are skinny jeans. I got a dark wash, sage green (cut hem), black, burgundy, and camouflage. I've been wearing them with ankle booties or black suede Pumas. I've been doing the GYPO style challenge and I've lost about 15 pounds, so it's been fun to buy new jew jeans.

I finally found a pair of jeans at Eileen Fisher. They are for the avg women. I have hips and do not like super tight jeans.

My biggest change this season is that all my new jeans are high rise. So much more flattering for my apple shape!
Right now, I’m wearing dark rinse straight leg jeans w/ slip ons or suede booties. I bought a new pair of grey jeans I’m wearing a lot.
I bought a new longish knot hem top I’m wearing w/ my jeans. I’ve gotten lots of compliments every time I wear it. It is a fun new style for me.
When it gets colder, I’ll wear my skinny jeans w/ tall boots.

Only skinny jeans. Mid- to high-rise. Mostly distressed, with some destructed hems. In the early fall I tend to roll them with booties, showing a bit of skin, but now that it’s later (we’ve had a few snow flurries already) I’ve been loving my duck boots. I wear taller socks, sort of ruched over my hem, with those. I also bought a snow boot version of these. While I love a knee- or calf-high boot, they seem a bit dressy for my day-to-day. This is more casual.

I wear my straight legs with clogs, and I wear my skinny jeans either cuffed with my hiking boots or tucked into low boots (taller than an ankle boot but shorter than mid-calf) if I want to dress them up. I'm 52 if that matters.

Mostly skinny jeans. Some with a released hem and some with a normal hem. I’m mostly wearing booties, Toms, or my Adidas Stan Smith sneakers on my feet, but I don’t live in a cold climate where I get cold feet and ankles.

Bootcut that sit right on the hip, with oxfords, brogues or loafers. I'm a total sucker for a nice pair of wingtips.
I like the look of boots with jeans but often find myself getting too warm when I wear that look.

I have two pairs of riding boots, but my feet get cold easy in the winter and they don't have the best traction. I know you are at a higher elevation than me. Any other recommendations? Like snow boots that would work?

Great to hear all your styles ladies, thanks. I may re-visit the idea of some tall boots I think

Gennifer Oh, how I love Duck boots. I haven't had them in years. Living in the South, really not much a need but that look in buried deep within!! To answer the question, I wear Old Navy Skinny Curvy jeans. I have lost 17# and found that these look good on me. I wear them with leopard flats or my converse. Boots on the colder days. Booties on other days. I roll and let ankle show. No socks. Today I am wearing with my Adidas since it is going to be a long day at work with a festival immediately after. Lots to do around here getting ready for the festival.

For those of you that don't like the boot cut (I actually like the slim boot cut) have you tried wearing heals with a more pointy toe? I'm 5'3" and find that they really elongate my leg. Just a suggestion. I wear pretty much every style of jean, but this fall have been loving my gray and olive skinny jeans with the released hem with either mules or booties. I also bought a pair of "girlfriend" jeans which are slightly more structured than a boyfriend, but still give you that casual, relaxed fit. For work on Friday's I tend to stick to a darker rinse jean (either skinny or slim boot cut) for a bit more polished look. So many fun options out there right now.

I know you are at a higher elevation than me. Any other recommendations? Like snow boots that would work? I actually really do. It was 11° when I left my house an hour ago, and I’m good. I am usually freezing, but the combination of having a thicker sock and these boots really seems to do the trick. I have some Ugg-type boots that I wear in the winter, too, and they keep my feet warm, but those are mostly just for ease. They’re great when I need to jump in the UTV to pick someone up at the gate, but not necessarily cute to wear “out,” KWIM? These are the snow ones I bought: www.amazon.com/Sperry-Top-Sider-Womens-Maritime-Repel/dp/B078SJ4747/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=yo_ii_imgThey have a more substantial tread, so they will be great when I go for walks this winter... my roads are groomed for snowmobiles, so I’m walking on snow.

I'm struggling as I have a couple pair of boot cut and I'm not feeling that right now.I need to figure out what to do, right now I keep washing my skinny jeans and using only one pair.

Chunkier socks to have showing between boot and skinnies may be a key factor too I think
