No JoAnns here but I hate it when they measure, snip where to cut and then rip and not 😱 use the scissors. I’ve refused to accept the fabric when they do this and now ask them before they measure so please use the scissors to cut it. They tend to cut a little overage here, but not all the time. Ripping fabric is actually what you want to do. It maintains the cross grain and the fabric is straight if it's lined up on the rip. If your fabric is "crooked" after it's been ripped, it was rolled on the bolt a little off. If you wash the fabric, it will come out of the dryer straight again. If you don't wash your fabric, you should straighten the fabric with the selvedge and the rips, not the fold from being on the bolt. Thanks for the explanation basket1lady 😃 @megmc and kachilyn
