All my kids, including the two that have their own place, have keys to my house. DH and I still have keys to our parents' homes. Wondering if that's typical? Do your adult kids have keys to where you live?

Yes and we had keys to both sets of parents as well. We've always been welcomed at their homes and our kids are always welcome here.

No, I do not have key to my dad & his wife place. When my mom was alive, yes, I had a key.
Our doors do not use keys - but yes, our boys know the code and know our alarm code.

Yes. I think so! We may have changed locks when we changed the front door though. They may have the key to the old one. Maybe I should give them all a key for Christmas.

I’m not sure. I should ask her if she does. We all ( DH, me, DD and son-in-law) all have each other’s garage door codes coded into our automobile’s built in garage door openers. Plus we have key pads by the garage doors. We never use keys, but in the event of a power outage, we should really have keys. I need to ask.
We always had keys to our parents house when they were alive and they had keys to ours.

We don’t have children, but we’ve keys to both our parents homes. I also have a key to my sister’s house and she to ours, despite us being 2 hours away from each other

No, not anymore. He used to have one, but after he really took advantage of things here, I took my key back. Now that he is more mature, I could give him one again, but I will be moving soon anyway. I had keys to my parents home until they sold it. Oh, you made me realize that my mom had the key to the house on her key ring when she went to visit my sister. She passed away while there so that sister has my key. I have been considering changing out my front door hardware as I fix the house for sale. They repainted the doors and it would look better with silver handles like I purchased for all of the inside doors. This just pushed me over the hesitation! I do not want that sister to have my key.

We have keys to my in-laws' house. We don't have actual keys to my parents' but we do have the door and alarm codes.

I don’t know. I don’t even have keys to our house. I’ve got to get some made. The cleaning lady locked me out last week.

Always had keys to my mom's home(s). One kid still lives here. The other still has a key (?) or knows where a key is or how to get in if need/want .
They will always have keys or access to my home, where ever it may be.
@peano I can relate. I do have a key on my key ring but rarely use it. DS changed a door know and I almost wasn't able to get in (detached) garage though as they were keyed the same until then. I always use our "hidden" key to get in if locked and forgot it wouldn't magically change with other door lock. I grabbed the new hidden key and went to open garage... oops. Luckily I still had an old key.

DD is 18 and still at home, but yes, I imagine she will always have a key to our house.
My sister and I and my dh have keys to my parents house. We did not have my late MIL's keys, just because she never ever locked the doors.

I have a key to my mom's house. It is my childhood home & I pretty much still come & go as I please. I don't have keys to my dad's place. Neither of my parents have a key to my place.

My young adult kids still live at home but I'd expect them to always have keys. I don't have a key to my dad's current home, but did have a key to the family home until it was sold a few years ago (and still have it ). I haven't asked, but expect the sister that lives closest to him does have a key. We have keys to MIL's house even though it is 1000+ miles away and we forget to bring them with us half the time. ETA I don't think my parents or MIL have ever had a key to our house. We have a spare we give to anyone visiting so they can come and go easily.

DD18 does - I have no idea if DS27 still does or not (he's in Japan so it's fairly irrelevant).
I do not have a key to my mum's house - but I live 1200 miles away so it's not like I'll be just stopping by.

No, they do not have a key to my place (high rise condo) as the # of keys are limited and have a security feature.
No, I do not have a key to their home.

I have keys to my parents house (and know all the codes and how to disarm security), and when she was alive I had a key to my Grandma's house (my mom's mom).
My parents have keys to my house.
We also all have the same code to get into our car (we have the keypad).

No to both, but my DD does have the code to the keypad to enter through the garage, so about the same.
