This place.
Letting go of need to and embracing the “just for me” attitude.
Having a supportive dh, who requests certain pages and does journaling for some.

Having my own space to keep my stuff that is organized and accessible. Before we finished our basement, I was trying to do my PL sitting on an exercise ball at a rolling cart in our kids’ playroom closet. Everything was within arm’s reach... but it was claustrophobic to say the least. I don’t have some crazy big room full of stuff, but just having one wall of cabinetry (with locks 😉) and work surface that is all mine just for my crafting has made it so much more enjoyable.

I love playing with colour and design, and all the fun products and techniques new and old, but what makes this hobby truly fun is:
Scrappy friends, IRL and on line. Am really inspired by seeing what everyone else is creating. Love the friendly competition of the team challenges.
My grandkids, who love to pose for photos, suggest pages I could do about them, and send me photos to go on those pages. I love it that they expect me to bring the latest scrapbook when I visit.

Well not exactly yet, but I am in the process of switching (craft) rooms. Can wait until I am all moved in. I might never come out.

This place defintely refuels me. The two other things that have made the biggest difference for me when it comes to scrapbooking: sketches and the YouTube scrappy community.

Not scrapbooking, but I've had more fun making cards lately for my son's teachers and various other helpers. I've had to once again move my scrap space into the living room and there's no room for spreading out with Christmas decorations. I get to do crafty things with easier clean up.
Another thing is planning pages. I know it sounds nerdy and no fun, but I'm not the creative type. Give me a stack of photos with no plan and I sit and stare for hours. I plan the pages, order the photos, and when they come I can put several pages together quickly. Then, I can take my time adding the fun embellishments.
