Spent the day at work with no way to donate, so once I got home, I started in. I try to do one donation per hour so my charities are in the hourly drawings. I was very pleased to see that one of the cat shelters I donate to each year won a $1000 golden ticket!

www.givemn.org/giving-events/gtmd18/homeIt is a 24 hour fundraiser, not just for Minnesota nonprofits, there are national groups included as well. Each donation is eligible to win a "Golden Ticket" $1000 prize for your organization, given away each hour, so I like to spread my donations out in hopes that my small donation will win a big prize for one of the organizations I support. So far today over 16 million dollars have been donated.

I donated to my daughter's circus arts school , and also to an organization one of her coaches there runs, to help stop domestic violence.
