I adore Shimelle. I know she put a lot of thought into doing this crop before she advertised it. I think it sounds fun. Even with the cost of park admittance it is still a reasonably cost crop. Especially with some of the crop prices being advertised lately that are not specialty. A Disney crop counts specialty for me. Do you think maybe she can get a group discount for park admittance? I am sure the girls are coming up with lots of ideas that are going. I want to hear stories if our Peas go.

Have fun! Looking forward to hearing what it is like and how you enjoy it.

I’m lucky there’s a Canadian resident deal on right now!

Hi Peas! I promised to report back! My day in Disneyland with Shimelle and the amazing group of scrapbooking ladies was ridiculously fun! Worth every cent! We started the day with a character breakfast at the Plaza Inn. The perfect way to spend some time getting to know each other and visiting. The characters were lots of fun, we had lots of laughs, and of course photo ops! We spent the rest of the day taking portraits around Disneyland and California adventure. We rode a few rides, and would stop to discuss light/lenses/composition/posing. Honestly it was like a day spent with girlfriends! Shimelle is truly a sweetheart! Since it was her first Disney workshop, I think she was very nervous as to how it would all go, but I think it went fine! We had a great mix of ladies who ‘get it, if you know what I mean. That was definitely one of the best parts! Oh and our scrapbook kits included new sparkle city paper! Now if I could figure out how to include pics I would post a few! 😂

Did you have a photographer there with you?

I’m so glad it was everything you wanted it to be, and then some. Shimelle is really awesome for doing an event like this. She really puts herself out there to share her gifts, and she has fun doing it.

How awesome! I would have seriously considered it but the husband and I just went to Disney at the start of the month for our 10 year anniversary...the timing just didn't quite work out. My problem is that where most people run towards celebrities they admire, I know I'll make a fool of myself, so I run the OTHER way. Not sure I could get over that to hang out with even someone who is 'just' a scrap celeb!
I'm so glad that it was such an enjoyable day. I don't love Disney the way she loves Disney, but it certainly has a place in my heart.

[quote author=" 950nancy" Did you have a photographer there with you?[/quote] No alternate photographer. Shimelle had 2 dslr’s and everyone was taking pictures of each other too, so I think it would have been a bit overkill. Shimelle and the other girls were great at showing us pics after they took them, I can’t wait to see them all!

I don't love Disney the way she loves Disney, but it certainly has a place in my heart. How awesome to go for your anniversary! I think the group was a great mix of shy, content hanging back and observing and full on let’s go personalities! So funny, while stopping for lunch, Shimelle and I recognized a Disney Instagrammmer that we both follow. So I said we should go say hi, so we did. And totally fangirled. Shimelle said she’s usually the akward person introducing herself, and joked that I carried the conversation. We were both too shy to ask for a picture, but then an older lady was walking by and asked us if she could take a picture of us (we all were Disney-bounding). So we got our picture taken by some random lady. Then went back to the table and then commented on how we wanted a copy of the picture. So off I went to hunt down the random lady who took our picture! 😂 I found her and she was so gracious to share the pic. Even the ‘scrap-celebs’ can fangirl!

If it was Disneyland Paris, I'd definitely go if it fit into my schedule despite knowing the park and all its little details very well. She's looking to do a Disney Paris version but she hasn't been there herself yet. Maybe offer your services...?

She's looking to do a Disney Paris version but she hasn't been there herself yet. Maybe offer your services...? Annual pass holder here! I don't see how she could do a Disneyland Paris version without having visited it ever before (or it's going to be a major challenge). DLP is known for being on the smaller side but filled with details. It's truly a wander-around-and-take-all-the-little-stuff-in park.
Disneyland Paris have upped their Halloween game big time and the weather tends to be nice in very early October. Phantom Manor should finally be open again then (the prettiest and most story-filled haunted mansion of all Disney parks) as well. She should consider doing it around then. But she'll need to book in advance if she wants to do l'Auberge de Cendrillon for a Disney princess lunch with the group. Like as soon as the reservations go live if there's a big group (2 months in advance).
Surprised Shimelle's never come from down from the UK to DLP. It's full of Brits!

sleepingbooty oh yeah, she's planning to visit by herself before she hosts. (She also seems surprised she hasn't been there yet.) I thought you could be her expert guide - meet her for her first visit and introduce her to all the awesome stuff you know about, and then she could give you a free workshop ticket in exchange for being her 2nd in command on the actual day!
