We need new hardwoods and we've been looking at bamboo. We're trying to figure out the price of installation and average costs per square foot. They really vary.
What did you pay per square foot? What type of wood was installed? cost of installation? Have you used Home Depot or Lowe's and were you satisfied?

Well, I can't remember what I paid, but it was a LOT cheaper than other hardwood. I LOVE it. I wish I had it all over my house.
The only thing I don't love is the installation. We used someone from Lumber LIquidators. Because our bamboo was interlocking instead of nailing, the house has expanded and there is a gap near the wall. I hate that.
But definitely love having bamboo. Sorry I can't answer your other questions.

We have bamboo. we started downstairs, then into the living room, and last year up the stairs, the landing, master, and hallway. For the last bit, we also had Lumber Liquidators install and had a great experience.
I, also, however do not remember our cost per sq. ft. Sorry

We have bamboo from Lowe's (installed in 2013), but my husband installed it. It is gorgeous.
