Before I go on and on.. I am confirming this with the garage sale lady today.. I hope to hear back from her, which I think I will...
I was on a FB garage sale page and saw this lady selling girl's clothing for .50 each. She had pictures and stuff looked decent. I decided to stop by and see what she had because she was not far from where I live.
I got there and went through the clothes and then noticed she had been going through other items to get ready for a garage sale or sell via FB again. So she gave me the green light to look at anything I wanted. Very sweet lady and gave me a GREAT deal on the stuff I bought...
We were talking and I looked up on some shelves and saw a huge stack of Stampin Up stamps (or CTMH.... pretty sure they were Stampin Up though).. and I said, "OH are you a scrapbooker or stamper" and funny thing is I can't remember what she said BUT she said she got the whole lot (probably over 150 sets) from an estate sale. She got those, plus over 150 DVD movies and another whole thing of scrapping stuff I didn't even see for $200. She sells stuff on ebay and she bought the whole lot to resell. She even said she checked out a few of the stamp sets on ebay and it was hit or miss on which ones would sell decent.
Anyways I get home thinking about all those stamps (I don't really stamp and got rid of all mine anyways) but for some reason those stamps were nagging at me. In the middle of the night it HIT me... I think those stamps, supplies and movies all belong to my friend who passed away several years ago!! She sold Stampin Up stamps; and pretty sure her and her husband liked to watch movies A LOT. I have a strange feeling he must have had a sale to finally get rid of her stuff... What are the chances that someone else in my town (which is pretty small country town) would have that many stamps (plus the movie thing)....
I CAN'T wait till she responds. She may not remember or whatever.. which is okay..
At the time of her death I wanted to ask the husband what he was going to do with all her scrapping supplies cause I kinda wanted to buy it.. but then thought it would really be inappropriate to ask, so I never did.
