Whoa! This could really be epic.
I'm not sure they can improve on the 2005 version...but honestly, can't wait to see what they do with it!

all they have to do is continue the theater-release movies (with the same quality) and I'd be happy. I'd be happier with that than if they do Netflix or some other service, actually-- we don't do any additional television services besides cable.
eta: one of the article's comments, that I think I agree with-- "After what happened with The Dark Tower, I feel like “developed across multiple TV and film projects” is Hollywood code for “we don’t know what to do with this property, so we’re going to half-ass one adaptation and then use the rest as a tax write-off.”
The comments are discussing the rather overt Christian overtones in the books, and how that may be a turnoff for non-religious viewers, but a 'faithful' adaptation would need to include the Christian bits... I know I first read them when I was rather young, but I didn't see them as 'in your face' Christian stories until the very last one, when they die and go back to Narnia (I think I remember that right).

I've seen several versions of the movie. It does make for a great setting, but nothing can compare to the books. I've read it over 30 times.
