Do you have "I'm sick" pajamas/outfit? I have sinus crud-head cold. Urgent care this morning. Currently taking meds, using vapor rub on multiple areas on my body. Wearing my "I'm sick" pajamas/outfit.
I have a couple old tank tops, tee-shirts, worn out leggings, that have vapor rub stains from the past use or are just worn out/faded. My big loose raggedy stretched out "only wear it when I'm sick" sweater. My "vapor rub" thin socks with thick socks over them. They serve as my "I'm sick" attire. Vapor rub helps, but it sure is messy/stains on one's clothes. Hence the fact that I have "I'm sick" pajamas. I also have an "I'm sick" towel that I put over my pillow case.
I just looked in the full length mirror and laughed at myself. Sick, raggedy, no makeup. My "sick clothes" (<< stretched out, worn, raggedy) make me look worse than I feel. Thankfully my meds are helping.
Do you have anything special that you wear when you are sick?

I am sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you get better soon!
I don’t have “sick” pajamas. I don’t have any special pajamas. I don’t have pajamas. Lol! I wear tank top/t-shirt and shorts or sweats in the winter.

Get well soon.
I don't have sick pyjamas, I don't keep clothes once they reach what I consider a scruffy stage.

I don’t. I just wear the comfiest pajamas I can find, unless I wake up drenched in sweat like I did at midnight last night, then I put on a light nightgown. I’m sick, I have an appointment at 1:15 this afternoon. I’m missing the busiest week at work while someone else is on vacation and that makes me feel worse. I’m pretty sure I have strep. And I can’t stop coughing.
OP I hope you feel better soon!

I do have old tee shirts that I wear if I use vapor rub, because like you said, it stains.

I used to have my "comfort" nightgown as I called it. It was the one I wore when sick or needing a pity-party night. It was a flannel gown from my teen years that eventually had all the flannel worn off so much, the fabric was slick. The lace was all torn and it had a permanent stain or two. I mended it several times, but eventually the fabric got so thin it began to develop long rips in it. I actually debated about keeping it even then, but enough's enough. I had to let it go. And I've never replaced it with any other 'designated' item for sickness or comfort.

I have a woobie sweatshirt that I have to have whenever I am really sick or in the hospital or just need to he comforted.
It is a navy blue sorority letter sweatshirt that my BFF from college was given back in the early 90s when she travelled as a consultant for our sorority. She gave it to me back in 94 because she had a ton of shirts that she had been given by chapters she visited and she knew plaid was my favorite color.
So my woobie sweatshirt that brings me physical and mental comfort is a 24+ year old sweatshirt that was given to me used by someone who got it used. The cuffs now have small holes around them and I still have never been nor do I know anyone at CMU (which is embroidered below the letters).

No, but we have a sick blanket. It's a ridiculously heavy quilt DH's aunt made us for our wedding 39 years ago!

If I had sick pyjamas I would have them on right now. I have a cold and feel miserable. I don't get sick very often, but when I do it usually turns on me in the worst way. I got sick once as a kid, and then after chemo and ds starting school I've been sick 4 other times each of those times I ended up with pneumonia. I'm on day two and hoping it won't turn on me. Is there something I can do to prevent that cycle? What does vapor rub do?

And I am not really worries about stains on my jammies, who sees them anyways? haha.. Yeah I looked awesome all Thanksgiving weekend...

Sorry you're feeling poorly.
Funny enough, this topic came up this morning at work. A co-worker was describing her pj's on a sick day -- a blue fleece top with polar bears on it, and the words "No Boyfriend Needed," worn with flannel pajama pants in pink polka dots. She had to wake up to answer the door, and there were two cops out there looking for one of her neighbors! She had them swear they hadn't seen her!

I bought myself an overpriced UGG robe last year when I had surgery. I do love it and will wear it forever probably! It's like THIS one - they are stretchy and squishy but a bit flimsy.

I'm sorry you are feeling bad - hope you get to feeling better soon.
I don't really have PJs like that. I'm the kind of person that I get up and get dressed even if I feel bad, somehow it makes me feel a little better just getting dressed for some reason.

Is there something I can do to prevent that cycle? What does vapor rub do? Vapor rub is a menthol ointment. You can put it on your chest. I also put it on my throat, lymph areas, feet, back, etc... The menthol helps ease congested breathing and passage ways. Some put it on their feet. Then use heavy socks. The pores absorb it. It is very similar in substance to vaseline. Greasy. If it gets on one's clothes, it usually leaves a grease stain. I have more than one article of clothing with vapor rub stains, that is why I have designated them my "sick pajamas".

When I was little and got sick, my Mom had me wear one of my Dad's white t-shirts. I always felt so special. (Lord knows why. LOL) I hadn't thought of this in years. I'm sorry you don't feel well, but thanks for bringing up that memory.
