I did a search on the threads that mentioned the Stamparatus. There really isn't a lot of input on this particular platform. One of the questions raised had to do with the unsupported corner and whether there could be eventual cracking as a result.
How long have you had your Stamparatus?
Have you had any problems with it?
What do you love about it?
I've never used one, but I have seen videos on it, and I like that you can move the plates to create a border, as well as being able to use them for layered stamps fast and easily.
I love my Tonic platforms, but since MSP is now suing SU, I figure I need to decide quickly if I am going to also invest in the Stamparatus.

I haven't really used it enough to know if there would be an issue with cracking. I'm confused about what you mean by unsupported corner. There isn't a ridge on the base like the TH ones have. Just the hinge parts on two sides. The rest is flat and the hinge doesn't support the plate except where it's actually connected to the hinge.
Some people have trouble getting stamps put in the corner to stamp fully, but so far I have not, but I don't tend to put things all the way in the corner. I love that it comes with 2 plates which can be used on either side, so if there's a 3 or 4 step stamp, I can put all of the stamps on and just swap out lids. Also I like that it has the hinge thing on 2 sides.

The first pictures and videos looked as if there was a corner (where the two open sides meet) that provided no support for the lid. From your post, it sounds like perhaps it doesn't.
You sound as though you like it but haven't used it extensively?

scrapnnana I'll try to get some close-up pics for you. She mentioned that in her OP. I think that's why she's looking at it.

Clarification. I mainly want to know how Stamparatus owners like it. I've seen comparison videos. I just want to know if you think it works well. I like the idea of being able to do borders with stamps so easily.

I don't have the Stamparatus so this is second hand info. A friend bought it for layering stamps. She already has the TH and Misti. Of the three, she prefers the Misti. She didn't like the Stamparatus.

Thanks for that info, scrapperal.
I'm asking myself how often I would use it for borders.
With the platforms I have, I can layer my Altenew stamps or any other layered stamps that I have.
The videos look like the SU version uses a foam cushion similar to the MISTI, and it has issues stamping in the corner. There is a work around to the corner issue, but I am having second thoughts about buying it. It's now or never, but I don't know that the price tag is worth it just so I can do borders easier. I really don't think I would actually use borders all that often in my crafting.
Thanks for everyone's input.

I have the Stamparatus (SAR) and like it. My fave is the Travel Tonic. The SAR is super nice with the fact that the top plate can be moved to many different positions. It is recommended to store the SAR without the plates in it (it comes with 2). This will reduce any pressure on the unsupported corner, except while stamping. The new storage bag is pretty cool!!

which unsupported corner? when mine is closed the plate is fully flat against the bottom. Thank you for clarifying. I was going on the posts that were prior to the actual release, and it was a question based on a video that someone here raised long ago. I was waffling back and forth. I convinced myself that I did not need it, and I probably don't. But I like the idea of the mulitple plates. I caved. Someone (in the thread about MSP suing SU) said they loved it, and you said there is no unsupported corner. I bought it and a set of extra plates, plus an extra foam mat. Between the extras, the taxes and shipping, it was close to $95, but the MISTI was pretty expensive without anything extra.

I have it and really like it. I have a MISTI, a TH one, and the Stamparatus. I reach for the Stamparatus the most.
I have not had any trouble stamping with it. I bought the graph paper pad that goes with it and am really happy I did - I think the paper pad is thick enough that it eliminates the potential corner-stamping problems that some people report.
I also bought 2 extra lids, so now I can have 8 stamps total lined up perfectly. It's very handy with stamping with Altenew stamps, for instance.
I also really like the size.

It's fine, gale w. I didn't really need them. I mainly wanted to know how people like it, especially compared to the TH.
I realized, though, that with the extra plates that the Stamparatus has, that it's kind of hard to compare exactly. It does something that the others don't. Besides, I do have layered stamps, and while I can do the different layers with the ones I have (since I have more than one), it is awkward having them all out at the same time for one project.
Anyway, I have ordered it, so I will be able to see for myself how I like it.

It arrived while I was out of town. I have not had a minute to play with it, but when I get a chance, I will get out my Altenew layered stamps and see how it does.

I finally had a chance to play with it. I really like it for using with the layered stamps.
It performed almost as well as my Tim Holtz platform, but not quite. Still, those extra Stamparatus plates were definitely worth having it!

I'm glad you like it! The more I use it, the better it gets, imo. I really like the graph paper pad for stamping on, as well - the magnet is strong enough to still hold through it.
I did have my magnet break, so I bought a new one - I think covering it in washi tape helps prevents the breakage, so I will try that.
