The cowboy goes to bed so early these days. Chores come early in the morning. I've had a couple of glasses of wine and just feeling a bit lonely this evening.

I'm waiting in my car for DH to get home so I can pull in behind him. I just got back from company party. I'm not sure what is taking him so long.

I'll be on for a bit longer. Came home from Costco and am winding down. DH is watching To Sir, With Love and the song was playing. Great movie, but that scene where Lulu is singing to Sidney Poitier and the students present him with a gift always brings a tear to my eyes.

I'm exhausted. But it's the only time I've had to sit all day. I've been so busy. I could close my eyes right now but I feel like I owe myself some time to just unwind.

I have had a really tough week at work (lots of work, but great co-workers) and I was supposed to have 2 days off, but ending up working 10 or so hours each of those days. Finished this evening pretty much for the rest of the year, so that is the good news  , but then my son called and his ride home fell through at the very last minute and I have to leave at 7am to get him tomorrow before the dorms close at 10am. I have so many lists of things to do!! I have a room filled with boxes and presents and the BEST most fun wrapping paper and I want to sit and look at my prizes and wrap them. I really should be in bed now, but I had to see what was going on in 2Peas! What are your fun things you're planning for this weekend slicksister ? |

the kids I was watching tonight were brats.. so they did not get tv, and went to bed early ... (parents totally behind that idea)..

seasidemermaid I love To Sir with Love. Haven't seen it ina long time! @gina you're up late! LilyRose it'll just be the 2 of us. May invite some friends over in the evening to play games. @scrapington was the party fun? jeremysgirl I hear ya. Those few moments in the evening of unwinding are my favorite. Our staff party was last night. I was in charge of it so it was a lot of work but so much fun.

Really Red Absolutely nothing. LOL Really hoping the cowboy finishes the shelf for my microwave. s sick of t sitting onthe counter. when you live in 600 sq. ft. every bit of counter space counts!

Just made some peanut butter toast for a snack. Spent the evening watching "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick VanDyke Show" in color. So neat!

I’m sitting in the tv room by myself, and just watched 2 old b&w holiday movies. Holiday Affair with Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. And also Remember The Night with Barbra Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray. Both cheesy fun...but off to bed now

Spent the evening watching "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick VanDyke Show" in color. So neat! Totally bummed that Xfinity no longer carries MeTV. That was my go to for classic TV. Speaking of which, Miracle on 34th Street was on last night. For some reason, that's one movie I can't get into. All I kept thinking about when watching cute little Natalie Wood is how she died tragically many years later.  |

It's not so late here - 6.30pm on Saturday. Have had a busy day in the garden and starting my annual spring/summer clean. Did my bedroom and the ensuite. Several hours later I'm ready to sit down with a G&T!

I made DGD10 a necklace and I know I took it apart about 5 times before I got it like I wanted it. It's been a few years since I made jewelry and those wire loops gave me fits. I have 2 more to make tomorrow for the youngest two- they are 7. I'm thinking about attempting tassel necklaces and use seam binding that I have left from scrapbooking days. I have initial charms to add, also.
Then I watched 3 episodes of Catfish!

Are you still up? I just got home from volunteering and I am procrastinating cleaning out the dog's ear. He hates it and so do I. On other fronts, school is out and both of my girls are out and about. Tomorrow I am going downtown to march for education.
