Yep! It says it's a perfect blend if sweet and not. Each can is 4 glasses. Could be cool especially for summer.
I've seen canned before, but not great quality. Judging by who selected it I'm expecting ot to be fab.

I'm not a wine drinker, but I didn't even know it came in cans.

That would actually be a horrible gift for a wine drinker I would think. Maybe for a NON wine drinker it would be ok. but wine in a can? ahhhh. no thanks

There are some great wines in boxes and cans now, these aren't meant to be aged. Does glass do something to the wine that other packaging doesn't? I won't likely start buying it for nice dinners but to take to a concert, I'd rather pack a can and a glass than a bottle, opener, etc.

I can't drink wine from a can the metal would mess up the taste..but to pour from the can into a glass I'd try it.

It comes in single serving cans with a straw and it’s awesome.

I can't drink wine from a can the metal would mess up the taste..but to pour from the can into a glass I'd try it. There is a tip in the packaging to use a glass. I have to know everything about everything so I googled. It looks like glass is only important for wines that need to age and the packaging doesn't really matter for wines that are to be consumed in a shorter amount of time. They're projecting that canned wine will be a market disruptor like canned craft beer vs bottled and that it will soon be 25% of the market as some high end wineries have started packaging in cans for portability. In side by side taste tests (poured into glasses) most people can't tell the difference. This particular brand is from napa valley and has good reviews, I might try it tonight just to see. I've been intrigued by how what we see changes what we taste. It's interesting that things like boxed and canned wine trigger a reaction because its outside of the norm. They used to be nasty novelties but the market and product has changed and continues to change. I swear the last time I had canned wine I could taste it being a but metallic. I'm going to have to find the same wines in bottles and cans and do my own blind taste test. It will be interesting to see. In any case, when someone asks what my boss got me for Christmas this year, my answer will be "drunk" and that makes me laugh.

I know you're pimping your product Steph. And I'm one of those people that could care less if you do. BUT what I was saying, is if I had a friend that was a wine drinker, I just feel like giving them wine in a can would be a disaster. I'm one of those people that don't drink too many things out of a can though. Only pop. Maybe I'm a can diva. ha

I understand what you were saying, but I'm a wine drinker that thought it was an interesting gift and shared because I thought it was cool after I looked into it a little.

So I would get this from Wine Society not Pure Romance? I'm confused. My friend and I like to bring little cans of wine to baseball games. It makes them much more tolerable. Yes. Wine society is the company. It was a corporate holiday gift sent to me. I don't sell wine, I just drink it.

I'd try these. I'm a bit of a wine snob and I've been pleasantly surprised by the few canned wines I've tried. It's so much more convenient than bringing bottles to certain types of events. I definitely prefer pouring the wine into a glass over drinking from a can, but I'll absolutely drink from a can if there's no glass handy

I know this is going to sound wine-snobbish and I guess I'll wear that moniker proudly since wine is one of my *things.* Amongst my friends, a box of canned wine would be a great white elephant gift

That's exactly what I would've said a few months ago. I'm 1/2 a can in and contemplating ordering a case to keep on hand for random tuesdays. It's sweeter than I usually prefer, but it's tasty.
I'm curious to see what the market looks like in the next year or so.

I guess you can compare it to screw top wine bottles vs corks. Modern technology can do more than cork and glass of 1,000 years ago.

If I have a can of water I always pour it into a glass. I remember once many many moons ago being served a glass of wine in a styrofoam cup... it was crappy cheap wine.. but it tasted like styrofoam and crappy cheap wine! I'm not a wine snob I'm a glass snob!

It went fast, little sweet for my usual preference but it was much better than the others I had tried. I think I'm going to order a sampler of the other types.

Congrats on the gift. It's very beautiful looking, hopefully it tastes great, too.
My husband saw individual 12oz cans of Australian wine at Trader Joe's, and grabbed me one for fun. I tried it from the can, and it threw me off. I guess I very strongly associate cans with fizz, and the lack of it made me feel like it had gone bad. Weird, right? Same goes for canned airplane water. Have to pour it into a cup or I can't enjoy it.

I am not a wine snob, I just love wine. During the summer I am grabbing the canned wine AND bottles, the cans are so much more cooler-friendly. I would definitely be on the lookout for those PLEASURE cans - color me another one who briefly (incorrectly) connected that to Pure Romance, solely based on the name of the wine! I *do* remember back in the day when I was drinking before I was supposed to that there was a wine cooler (same but different) in a can, I think it was called Steidels? I am probably spelling that wrong, it was 34 years ago ... but canned wine is a thing and I am not mad about that.

I assumed it was Pure Romance wine because of the sticker on the box in the first photo. And the fact that it is called Romance. Weird name for a wine. Why would they slap one of their PR stickers on the box??

Canned wine and wine juice boxes are super convenient for cooking too. I hate buying cheap wine to cook with and wasting half the bottle because it isn’t decent enough to drink. Then again I don’t necessarily always want to use good wine then have to finish the bottle myself since my husband is not much of a wine drinker. Either way it is super wasteful. I think cans are super handy, I hope to see more of them in good brands soon.

Ehhh...no. Call me a snob, but I love my wine, and I don't want it in a can. I feel like in all canned things, you can taste that it's been in a can - from soda to vegetables to fruit. So, no thank you to wine in a can!

Why would they slap one of their PR stickers on the box?? Sounds like it was a corporate gift. Usually large corporations will purchase a gift that has their logo on it for their employees. My husbands company does this too, but he just gets sweatshirts and polos not cool wine, LOL! When craft beers started showing up canned, we thought it was odd too but it doesn't taste any different. I don't drink wine, but I think it's clever and there is definitely a market for it. Lots of my girlfriends who are wine snobs take these out to events and stuff where it's more convenient than a big bottle. The little juice box style seems to be the most popular.

A screw on cap is much better, even the snobs agree. winefolly.com/tutorial/corks-vs-screw-caps/
