Whoops! I totally zoned on this, didn't really know what day it was and thought it was Friday. I'm sorry! Not that anyone is here doing challenges anyway lol! So I had to set a challenge for my DT on FB for December and I did a sketch challenge. I did a sketch of one of my most used scrapbook designs. I do this LO over and over again, which is why I have many, many examples for you! This is the sketch...  And this was the example I created for the challenge, I used the Paige Evans Whimsical collection which I worked with last month, in fact, I collected points for this LO last month and couldn't share it!  As this is one of my most used layout designs, I have many samples though. Here we go.....           So there you go, I use this design a LOT! It's super simple, a grid based around the size of your photo with some strips above and below the grid, so easy to build the base of the LO and then just embellish  And since nobody is really here and nobody is doing much, if you do this sketch and want to add up points, take 200 points for doing it in December! Hahahaha! |

Thanks for the sketch, kiwigirl and all the examples! This one would run nicely over two pages, too. Haven't attempted stinkerbelle's sketch from last week yet, either, or KikiPea's one page lift, but I am hoping to scrap some more pages over the next week, and I need all the inspiration I can get. |

I'm guilty of not doing the sketches this month. But I should have some down time between Christmas and New Years (fingers crossed, heck, I'm crossing toes, too). kiwigirl, love all of your samples. stinkerbelle, beautiful page. Love the pops of red against the black/white background. |

This is my take on the sketch. I really love this photo of DD and two of her friends, but holy crap I found the colour combination of plum, red and grey almost impossible to work with! I used the 'Bohemian Bazaar' kit by Kimeric Kreations.

AussieMeg, you can't tell you struggled with the color combo at all. Your page is gorgeous, very well balanced. You did a fabulous job on the nuvo drops too.

I was trying to do the 20 minute challenge again with this one but I failed! By the time I'd pfaffed about and picked the right papers for my grid, 18 minutes had gone and I wanted to do the Nuvos, so this one went over 20 minutes. I think it probably took about 35 in the end, I did the Nuvos and left it for a couple of days and just finished it off now with some embellishments from my Highline box.  Taking 218 for this one! 1 for a LO, 1 for sharing, #14, #20, #22, #27, #45, #47, #49, #51, #53, #55, #58, #59, #65, #68, #73, #80. And 200 for the challenge, but I was pointing this LO and also the 20 minute challenge one which is 1000 points, at the same time and messed up my points! Only 218 for this one hahahaha! |
