I bought two of those $5 Hot Buy paper pads at Michael's recently. The Amy Tan and Crate Paper. I didn't realize until I opened them (and read the packing ) that the paper in each package comes from different collections. I like to buy paper pads because everything goes together and I don't have to put any time into matching things up. I haven't even looked at the paper since I bought it even though there are a lot of cute papers in the packs. Before that it was a Dear Lizzy date stamp with no years from the past. It started at 2011. Subtle message to let go of the past and live and scrap in the now? On the bright side, I won't hesitate to let my kids use up that paper and I might make a quick mini out of the ones that will go together well. And after sitting in a drawer for over a year that date stamp did get to come out and play when I finally finished with my 2010 pictures and moved on to 2011.

I almost bought a paper pack from HL that was one of my favorite lines. When I really looked through it I noticed the colors were more muted and not the original line colors I loved. I find this happens frequently when M's or HL sell it cheaper. So sad.

I ordered some stuff from ACOT and the thickers I bought were a muted gold...not at all what I expected. I was suppose to be glitter gold but looks more like brown/gold-ish with no glitter at all. Blah..

My last disappointing purchase was when I bought 12x12 pocket page protectors by Colorbok (from a Tuesday Morning store); turns out they do not fit in my 12x12 D ring albums (the holes don't line up with the album). I've never had an issue with other brand of page protectors.

Luckily, I cannot remember the last time I had a disappointing purchase {*knock on wood*}. Hope everyone is able to return, donate, or find a creative use for those unwanted supplies. Happy scrapping!

My SC Main Kit subscription.
I was going to say this. Cancelled a few months ago, so glad I did. Haven't regretted it one bit.

I'm a little bummed with my Cameo. Just because I don't have a lot of space and can't keep it out all the time. If I could just have access to practice with it when I wanted to I think I'd like it. It just is hard to drag it out and then have to try to learn how to use it. It hasn't been any fun yet at all.

Paper wishes Christmas card kit. I should've known better seeing how cheap it was (in cost). They did a good job with the video selling it, didn't look nearly as bad as it does it person. It will cost more to send it back than it's worth, so maybe some of those thin papers or the little embellishments can get used on something. It says something like QVC Christmas on the inside, so maybe it's an old thing sold there or a reject or something. bah and humbug.

It just is hard to drag it out and then have to try to learn how to use it. It hasn't been any fun yet at all. I moved recently and my scrap space is practically nonexistent now. I can't leave my Cameo out all the time anymore so I understand how you feel. I used to use it for 9 out of 10 titles so I miss it. My plan now is to scrap several layouts minus titles and maybe some embellishments and then spend an hour or so just on cutting what I need. It's a pain but it's either that or not use it at all. I know it's hard to find the time to get comfortable with it but hopefully you can. It's a really fun thing to have. I'm sorry for all of your disappointments, ladies. Hopefully we can all find some use for what we're stuck with.

Not that big of a deal, but I needed a new supply case because the zipper pull broke on mine. I got one on ebay, great price, and it was smaller than I thought. So while I can and will use it, I can't use it to replace my overstuffed one.
I was actually looking for a light blue crop in style supply case; my friend has one and it is double the size of the my cropper hopper case. But I can't find one, even on ebay. So I guess I'll just use 2 cases until I do find one or something similar.

I haven't had too many bad purchases bcz I'm very picky... But after just starting to go to crops in the last 2 years I wanted an actual scrapbook tote, it was just when WRMK came out with the new 360 rolling one, so my Mom got it for me as a present. When I took it out of box it had horrible manufacturers smell and some warning about chemicals used in it. I left it on the porch a few days, tried to spray it with febreeze, nothing worked. I decided maybe it would wear off over time...so then i tried to pack it up for a crop. I could not get a configuration that worked and those little zipper plastic bags just seemed tacky. I ended up unpacking then returning it. Went back to my old samsonite carry-on!
On another note, I love the $5 hot buys pads from Michaels to used in printer and typewriter!

I've never had an issue with other brand of page protectors. I have that problem all the time! Would it kill them to make them all the same? Really? Or at the very least, print your freaking name on the thing so we can at least try to by the albums that do fit them. Sheesh. A few weeks ago I bought a bunch of paper pads from JoAnns's online. A lot of them have foil and/or flocking (something I couldn't tell easily from looking at the pic) and I won't be using most of the pages from those pads.

I bought Simple Stories Sweater Weather kit. I love the embellishments, but was disappointed in the paper. At least half is made to cut apart into 3x4 or 4x8 cards. My fault, I guess, for not looking closely.

The 49.00 American Crafts "Cut Up" paper trimmer - looked great in the package. but does not cut straight. I am going to try getting a new blade to see if I got a bad one, but if not, back it is going.

One of those warehouse buys from tattered Angels a couple of years ago. I got tons of feathers yes loose feathers all over the items in the box. The one and last time I ever bought from a warehouse sale

The one thing I seem to be disappointed in over and over (and maybe that isn't quite the right word) is paper packs/pads. There always end up being paper in them I don't like and will never use.
But I keep on buying them!
