Interesting. My unmounted rubber stamps work fine using the clear stamp side, so I don't really see the advantage. Am I missing something?

this is so you can use totally bare rubber. Without anything like tack it over and over or double sided tape on the back. Apparently the rubber sticks to the clear stamp. When I unmount my stamps from the foam, I don't put anything on them until i need to use one. If I could use this method I wouldn't have to go to the trouble of adding something to make it stick.

for some reason I keep getting an error pop up on this thread. I can't see the instagram embed without going to instagram. Maybe because it's a video?
eta: tried posting different versions of the link and it still doesn't show up for me.

I wish I had seen this before I did all that foam mounting. I like it. I have a set of those mirror stamps in like five sizes.

I was able to see the video, but not hear it. Thanks for explaining.
I have already applied Tack-It-Over-and-Over to all my bare rubber stamps, so this tip won't be needed till I unmount newer ones still on the wood. That is, however, a helpful tip to know about, at least now that I know why they were using the mirror stamp. Thanks for posting about it.
