So, usually DH waits until the daughters come home from college to shop for me. Surprise! Both girls are now graduated (the last one just this past June) and as they are both gainfully employed, they don't have the luxury of school breaks anymore so DH doesn't have the luxury of a personal shopper anymore.  He asked me last night (on December 23rd!!!!) what I wanted for Christmas.  I told him not to worry about it, I've already ordered my gifts and wrapped them and they are under the tree. Merry Scrappy Christmas to me!!!  |

I'm married almost 31 years and DH gets a list and links. I add to it through the season. I got everything I 'suggested.'

Ha! I send my husband an email with links and he gets most of the things on my list, but he likes to get me a surprise. His surprises usually don't pan out... but I also get what's on my list so it's fine. He also tends to do "directed shopping" gifts for things he knows he won't be able to pick out... such as when I wanted a couch in my scrapbook room his gift was telling me to pick out a couch and he would have it delivered. We have not been married even close to as long as you have (in fact i was likely in diapers when you all got married...) so hopefully my husband will eventually learn to just stick to the list!
